Buy-Low Opportunities or Warning Signs? Fantasy Baseball’s Latest Fallers

We break down fantasy baseball hitters and pitchers whose trade values have slipped over the past week.

We just looked at fantasy baseball players with rising trade values over the past week, and are now going to look into some hitters and pitchers with falling values.

Also be sure to check out a couple more trade stories we did earlier in the week based on recent performances (sell-high players and buy-low targets).

Use the FantasySP trade value chart and trade analyzer as you propose and accept fantasy baseball trades all season!

Corbin Carroll - Arizona Diamondbacks

Carroll homered in his last game among two hits, but still has pretty low numbers on the season. He has a .264 average and .359 OBP.

He has 32 hits and 18 walks over 34 games and 142 plate appearances. Among the hits, Carroll has seven doubles, four triples and five home runs. He also has 20 RBIs, 22 runs scored, four stolen bases and 37 strikeouts.

Carroll still has some good stats in there, but he's not living up to being a high-end fantasy draft pick so far. That makes him a trade target, and a buy-low one at that.

If you are looking for a high-upside fantasy outfielder, see what Carroll might cost. You can probably get him for cheaper than what you think, so at least look into acquiring him.

Jose Ramirez - Cleveland Guardians

Ramirez has been a fantasy bust so far this season. He sits with a .211 average and .341 OBP over 39 games and 170 plate appearances.

Ramirez has eight doubles and six homers among his 30 total knocks. He also has 14 RBIs and stolen bases, 23 runs scored, 28 walks and 24 strikeouts.

He's been one of the most consistent fantasy hitters over the years, but has a very low average to start his 2026 season. Ramirez is a great trade target, and should improve his average and fantasy standing in time.

Ramirez will still cost a good amount, but maybe trading a couple daily starters could get the job done - or maybe you can flip a sell-high candidate for Ramirez now. Look into it before the Cleveland third baseman gets rolling.

Gunnar Henderson - Baltimore Orioles

Henderson continues to drop, and his .201 average and .260 OBP are still very, very low.

In 37 games and 173 plate appearances, Henderson has 32 hits, including six doubles, nine homers and a triple. He has 20 RBIs, 23 runs scored, five stolen bases, 12 walks and 54 strikeouts.

Henderson will improve in time, so he's another really good buy-low trade candidate. He won't cost as much as Ramirez, but don't expect to get Henderson for pennies.

He's worth the acquisition, as better days are ahead. Look to make the move for Henderson before he starts to put together better results at the plate.

Tyler Glasnow - Los Angeles Dodgers

Glasnow left his last start with a back injury. He's not expected to hit the injured list, but the oft-injured pitcher is showing why he's a risky fantasy asset.

He's been really good this season so far. Across seven starts and 39 2/3 innings, Glasnow has allowed just 12 runs for a 2.72 earned run average. He's allowed 20 hits and 13 walks, while striking out 49 batters. Glasnow is 3-0.

Glasnow is a risky fantasy pitcher to draft because of his injury history. I always look to sell injury-prone players high, and the time to do that has probably already passed.

If you can flip Glasnow now, go for it, and avoid the headache the rest of the season. You might want to see him put together a good start before moving him, as his value is down after all.

Jacob deGrom - Texas Rangers

deGrom is another injury-prone pitcher, and has already dealt with a few ailments this season. He's falling as a fantasy asset after allowing six runs in his last outing though, not due to an injury.

He was tagged for six runs on seven hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings against the Yankees a couple days ago. deGrom struck out seven to not have a super bad fantasy showing at least, and he was able to cover a healthy amount of innings.

Still, the rough start hurts his overall numbers, and his fantasy value as a result. He's now got a 3.11 ERA over seven starts and 37 2/3 innings. deGrom has allowed 13 runs on 30 hits and eight walks, while striking out 47 batters.

deGrom is a buy-low trade target after his last start, but he's a risky acquisition with his injury history. If you can scoop him up for cheap though, it's a gamble worth trying.

Nolan McLean - New York Mets

McLean has a 2.97 ERA over 39 1/3 innings across his seven starts this season. He's struggled in two straight starts though, so his fantasy value is dropping.

He's covered just nine innings in his past two starts. McLean has allowed five runs (four earned) on 11 hits and three walks, while striking out 13 batters.

McLean is 1-2, but that's because of the play behind him, not so much McLean's pitching. He has allowed 15 runs (13 earned) on 26 hits and 11 walks, while striking out 51.

McLean is a sneaky-good buy-low trade candidate right now. He'll still cost a decent amount, but you can acquire a high-end fantasy pitcher for a bit cheaper now, which is always something I'd be interested in doing.
