Fantasy Baseball Trade Value Risers: Hitters and Pitchers Gaining Steam

It's time for our FantasySP fantasy baseball trade value chart weekly check-in! Here, let's discuss some hitters and pitchers on the rise over the past week.

Check back in a bit for a story on hitters and pitchers trending down. Also check out a couple more trade stories we did earlier in the week based on recent performances (sell-high players and buy-low targets).

Cody Bellinger - New York Yankees

Bellinger had three more hits on Thursday, and has a nine-game hitting streak going. He has 16 hits in that span, along with a .471 average and .525 on-base percentage.

He has a .299 average and .394 OBP for the season over 37 games and 160 plate appearances. Bellinger has 40 hits, including 10 doubles, five homers and three triples, plus 28 RBIs, 24 runs scored, four stolen bases, 23 walks and 20 strikeouts.

Bellinger is on the rise for how he's delivered of late, and he's been good this season as well. He has high-end fantasy upside, and is showing that right now.

He is a sell-high candidate right now, especially because he's at a stacked fantasy outfield spot. Belli might have first base eligibility as well, and if he does, it'd take an overpay to get him off my team. I see Bellinger delivering big all season, so if you trade him away, make sure the return is really, really good.

Shota Imanaga - Chicago Cubs

He has been stellar over his past two starts. Imanaga is 2-0 with just one run allowed over 13 innings in those contests. He's allowed 10 hits and four walks, while striking out 15 batters in those outings.

Over eight starts this season, Imanaga is 4-2 with a 2.28 earned run average, and that's while factoring in four- and five-run outings. He's been great in most of his starts this season, and is on the rise as a fantasy asset.

Imanaga is one of the few healthy Chicago pitchers, and is leading that rotation right now. He's a very good fantasy asset right now, but some regression is probably coming.

So that makes Imanaga a sell-high trade candidate. You'd get a pretty good return for him, and can maybe address some positions of need, if starting pitching is a strength of yours.

Matt Olson - Atlanta Braves

Olson went hitless in his last game, but he's seen his average rise over 35 points in the past couple weeks. He has a .365 average and .452 OBP in his past 14 games.

In 38 games and over 170 plate appearances this season, Olson has a .301 average and .388 OBP. He has 44 total hits, including 13 homers and 15 doubles, plus has added 33 RBIs, 35 runs scored, 22 walks and 39 strikeouts.

Olson has been a high-end fantasy hitter/asset this season. He is at a loaded first base position though, and if you have another good option or two, Olson could be a trade candidate.

It'd take an overpay to get him off my team right now, but he could help you add multiple daily starters, or flip him for a player at a position of need, so don't make him untouchable.

CJ Abrams - Washington Nationals

Abrams has gone hitless twice over his past three games, but has five hits in two games over the past four games. He has been a bit inconsistent with his hitting, but has a good average and OBP.

In 37 games and over 156 plate appearances so far, Abrams has a .290 average and .391 OBP. He has 38 total hits, including nine homers and six doubles. Abrams has 33 RBIs, 21 runs scored, seven stolen bases, 17 walks and 28 strikeouts as well.

Abrams has good numbers overall, and that makes him a good fantasy asset. He's a guy to keep rostering if he's already on your team, and a not-so-expensive trade target.

Being a shortstop makes Abrams a bit more affordable, as that's a loaded fantasy spot. If he's one of a couple daily fantasy SS you trust, maybe look to flip Abrams for a bit more consistent hitter or pitcher.

Andy Pages - Los Angeles Dodgers

Pages has back-to-back three-hit games, and has an eight-game hitting streak going on now. He has bumped his average to .336 and OBP to .376 over 149 plate appearances and 37 contests.

Pages has 46 total hits, including eight doubles and homers. He has 22 runs scored, 33 RBIs, nine walks, six stolen bases and 32 strikeouts as well.

He's not a big, big name, but he's producing big for a stacked Dodgers' lineup. Pages has been one of the bigger fantasy surprises of the early going, and he's trending back up again.

Pages was likely a depth outfielder to open the season for you, so you might be able to sell him high now and still be set in the outfield. He could help you address a position of need, so don't be against flipping Pages in a trade.

Jackson Chourio - Milwaukee Brewers

Chourio missed the early part of the season with a hand injury. He returned this week, so his fantasy value was going to rise. Chourio has been red hot though, which is a bigger reason why he's on the rise.

In two games and over 10 plate appearances, he's reached base seven times. Chourio has six hits, including three doubles, and a walk. He also has an RBI, run scored and a strikeout.

He can be a high-end fantasy hitter when healthy, and he's started his 2026 season hot. After missing so much time, I'd be most inclined to enjoy his fantasy success, not trade him away. 

Injury issues are a concern for him though, so I get wanting to possibly flip him now. Just make sure you are getting a good return, because Chourio can be a high-end fantasy hitter all year.
