Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: Friday’s Top Adds, Streamers & Risers
Top waiver wire adds and streaming options for Friday, plus key risers to watch.
It's time for our final fantasy baseball waiver wire story of the work week!
Here is a starting pitcher streaming article for the day, plus waiver wire hitter stories from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Brandon Young - Baltimore Orioles
Young is rostered in about 1% of fantasy baseball leagues right now, but is on the rise as he prepares for a start on Friday.
Young will make a start against the Red Sox on Friday. That's a pretty good matchup on paper, especially when you realize he's starting opposite Brayan Bello, who has a 6.75 earned run average so far this season.
Young made a start back on April 6 against the White Sox. He earned a win after tossing five scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and two walks, while also striking out a pair. Young only needed 66 pitches to get through the game. He's been stellar in three starts in Triple-A when he's not been in the big leagues.
Young is a good deep-league streaming asset for the day, and could stick in those leagues if he's part of the MLB starting rotation for a bit. I'd stop short of using him in standard leagues, even though he could deliver enough to warrant starts in those leagues.
Mickey Moniak - Colorado Rockies
Moniak is still on the rise, so let's discuss him some more before the week ends. He's up 5.57% and sits at 51.61% overall.
Moniak is coming off a four-hit game on Thursday, and has 13 hits during an eight-game hitting streak. He has a .419 average and .455 on-base percentage over 33 plate appearances in that stretch.
On the season, Moniak has a .324 average and .347 OBP over 19 games and 72 plate appearances. He has five doubles, eight homers, 22 total hits, 15 RBIs, 14 runs scored, a stolen base, three walks and 16 strikeouts.
Moniak sits against most left-handed starting pitchers, so his fantasy ceiling is capped a bit, but right now, his bat is too hot to ignore. He's a great deep-league asset, and could be a standard league streaming option for as long as he's starting and producing.
Payton Tolle - Boston Red Sox
Tolle started on Thursday, and we talked about him earlier in the week, but he's still rising, so I'm going to discuss him again too. Tolle is up 6.16%, which brings his overall mark to 41.64%.
Tolle pitched really well against a tough Yankees' lineup in his 2026 MLB debut. He allowed a run on three hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out 11 along the way.
He got some MLB experience in 2025, and seems to have learned from that experience. Tolle had a 4.80 ERA over three Triple-A starts this year, so it was great to see him excel in the big leagues.
Boston needs a starting pitcher with Sonny Gray out with an injury, and Tolle got the first chance at replacing him. After his stellar outing, Tolle should get another shot to start in place of Gray, and if Tolle delivers again, the Red Sox might have no choice but to get the highly-touted hurler in the big leagues for the long haul.
Will Warren - New York Yankees
Warren has been added in 2.35% of leagues as he gets ready for a start on Friday. He is rostered in 77.13% of leagues overall.
Warren will be making a start against the Astros on Friday night. That's not a very good matchup, but Warren is on the rise because of how he's pitched to this point.
He has allowed two or fewer earned runs in all five of his starts, although one start he gave up four unearned runs. Warren has allowed 11 runs (seven earned) on 22 hits and six walks over 25 1/3 innings for a 2.49 ERA. He has 31 strikeouts to his name.
Warren has started the season strong, but also had some favorable matchups. His matchup on Friday is probably his toughest so far. I am fine starting him in deeper leagues, but he's not a must-start guy in standard leagues. If Warren delivers again, he'll be added in a bunch more leagues, so keep tabs on his performance today.
Xander Bogaerts - San Diego Padres
Bogaerts is rostered in about 57% of leagues at the moment. He's mostly been on the rise since April 15, when he was owned in just 42% of leagues.
Bogaerts hits fifth and plays shortstop daily for the Padres. That's a good fantasy spot for him to be in.
He has two hits in each of his past two games, and he's on a five-game hitting streak. Bogaerts has a .289 average and .366 OBP over 24 games and 101 plate appearances this season.
He has 26 total hits, including four homers and two doubles. Bogaerts also has 16 RBIs, nine runs scored, two stolen bases, 11 walks and just 10 strikeouts.
Bogaerts has been great to open 2026, and I'm surprised he isn't a bit more owned. He's a bigger name, but also is at a loaded fantasy spot, so I get it. He's worth owning/utilizing in all deeper leagues, and could be an option in standard leagues too.
