Wednesday is already here, so it's time for our third fantasy baseball waiver wire story of the week.

We won't cover any players who were part of waiver stories on Monday or Tuesday, or pitchers who were part of the Wednesday streaming article.

Check out the top fantasy baseball waiver wire options everyday on FantasySP.

Should You Add Colt Keith?

Keith has been added in 2.14% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 23.84%.

Keith has five hits over the past two games, and has logged 15 hits over his past 10 contests and 39 plate appearances. Also in that 10-game stretch, Keith has six RBIs, eight runs scored, three walks and six strikeouts. He has two homers, a triple and four doubles among the 15 hits.

He's played in 81 games so far this season, logging 277 plate appearances. Keith has a .269 average and .350 on-base percentage, along with 30 RBIs, 41 runs scored, 31 walks and 55 strikeouts. He has 65 total hits, which includes 16 doubles, eight home runs and two triples.

A good thing for Keith's fantasy outlook is that he's played first, second and third base this season, and could be eligible at all three spots. He can fill a void, or a few, for your fantasy team.

He has started four of the team's past five games, only sitting against a left-handed pitcher. That knocks his fantasy outlook down a bit, but he's also hit leadoff in each start, so that offsets sitting against lefties.

I had high hopes for Keith coming into the season, and he'd mostly underwhelmed to this point of the season. The 23-year-old has turned things on of late and is on pace to match or improve upon his numbers from his 148-game rookie season in 2024.

Keith is a better deep-league asset at the moment, but he's trending toward being a standard league possibility, and he might start being heavily considered if he performs well this week before the All-Star break.

Scoop Keith up now in deeper fantasy setups, especially if you have a need at first, second or third base. Keep a very close eye on him if you are in a standard league, because Keith might work his way into those leagues soon.

Should You Add Cam Schlittler?

Schlittler is up 4.74% and sits at 22.04% overall.

He is the Yankees' No. 10 prospect and is going to start on Wednesday against the Mariners.

The 24-year-old was drafted by the Yankees in the seventh round of the 2022 MLB Draft. He's 6-foot-6 and weighs 225 pounds. Schlittler throws from the right side and had a 2026 ETA, so he's beat that projection, mostly out of necessity with all the pitching injuries New York has endured.

He has a 60-grade fastball and 55-grade slider. He's also got a 50-grade curveball, 40-grade changeup and his control is a 45. It all adds up to a 45 overall grade for Schlittler.

Schlittler has just three years of minor league experience under his belt, and about 25 innings at Triple-A only. He has a career 3.33 earned run average over 50 starts and 54 appearances. Schlittler has covered 243 1/3 innings, striking out 303 and walking 102 along the way, along with allowing a .235 average against him.

Schlittler is 6-6 with a 2.82 ERA over 14 starts and 15 appearances at Double-A and Triple-A this season. He has covered 76 2/3 innings, while striking out 99 batters, walking 26 and having a .238 average against him.

The matchup against the Mariners is a pretty so-so one. There's some talented bats in the lineup, but the matchup is also one to try streaming pitchers against.

Schlittler will be making his MLB debut, so that's always a tricky situation to navigate for fantasy owners. He's posted good minor league numbers, but also wasn't expected to be in the big leagues this soon.

I'd prefer to only use Schlittler in deeper leagues today. There's a chance he sticks in the rotation for a while, so adding him in deeper leagues and not starting him today also makes some sense.

There's a full slate of MLB games today, so there should be better options available to you in standard leagues. Schlittler is a streaming option for sure, but I tend to like to see a pitcher excel in the big leagues a bit before streaming him in standard leagues, especially if they aren't a top-end prospect.

Keep an eye on Schlittler in his Wednesday start, and be ready to pounce if he excels right away. He might be sent back to the minor leagues before the All-Star break, but could be right back in the big leagues after the break.

Should You Add Jurickson Profar?

Profar sits at 75% owned, which is about what he's been at since July 4.

He's done some nice things since returning from his 80-game suspension. In his first six games and 25 plate appearances back, Profar has six hits, including two home runs. He also has three RBIs, four runs scored, no walks and seven strikeouts.

Profar has batted leadoff in back-to-back games, which came against left-handed starting pitchers. He was fourth or fifth in the order for the three starts against righties before that. All of those are favorable fantasy spots to be in, but the main thing is that he's playing daily and near the team's other talented hitters.

The outfielder is at a stacked fantasy position, otherwise his own percentage might be higher. He hasn't exactly lit it up since returning, which is why his own percentage is stuck near 75%.

He's a must-own hitter in deeper fantasy setups, and could become a must-own guy in standard leagues again, but he'll need to produce more at the plate first.

Profar is worth tracking in case he returns to his 2024 self. For now, I'd say his own percentage is pretty spot on, and that it will go down if his numbers stick at the marks he's posted since he returned.

Should You Add Zach McKinstry?

McKinstry is rostered in 66% of leagues right now - that's up from 61.5% on July 4.

He's been pretty solid in July, collecting seven hits over eight games for a .280 average. McKinstry has two homers and a double among the hits, along with two RBIs, eight runs scored, three stolen bases, two walks and five strikeouts.

McKinstry has played in 84 games and logged 315 plate appearances this season. He has a .283 average and .357 OBP, along with 27 RBIs, 48 runs scored, 13 stolen bases, 31 walks and 70 strikeouts. McKinstry has 78 total hits, including 12 doubles, eight triples and seven homers.

He's an appealing fantasy asset when he's hitting well because he can slot into several different positions. He's played first, second and third base, shortstop and left and right field so far this season. See where he's eligible in your league.

I'm a bigger fan of McKinstry in deeper leagues, but during his hot stretches at the plate, he can be a standard league streamer because of his position versatility. You need to keep a close eye on him and add and drop him in standard leagues as he goes in and out of hot/cold streaks.

Should You Add Andre Pallante?

Pallante has been added in 3.6% of leagues so far, bringing his overall mark up to 31%.

He'll make a start against the Nationals on Wednesday night. It will be the second time this season that Pallante has faced the Nats. He allowed two runs on five hits and no walks in the first matchup on May 10. Pallante struck out seven over 7 1/3 innings.

Pallante has made 17 starts this season and is 5-4. He has a 4.10 ERA over 94 1/3 innings, allowing 45 runs (43 earned) on 90 hits and 31 walks. Pallante has struck out 63 batters along the way.

Pallante has pitched well of late, not allowing over three earned runs in any of his past five starts. He's 1-1 in that stretch, and has a 2.22 ERA over 28 1/3 innings. Pallante has allowed eight runs (seven earned) on 22 hits and eight walks, while striking out 19.

So he's a pitcher who has been trending up, and he has a pretty solid matchup tonight. That's why Pallante is a streaming option.

I'm a bigger fan of streaming Pallante in deeper leagues tonight, but I think he's a sneaky good option in standard leagues as well. Depending on how you view Pallante and the Nats' offense will determine what leagues you're comfortable starting the Cardinals' righty in.
