After checking out some fantasy baseball waiver wire hitting targets, let's go over some waiver wire pitchers to possibly add.

We won't cover any pitchers who appeared in waiver stories on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday or Friday's streaming article.

Check out the top fantasy baseball waiver wire options everyday on FantasySP.

Should You Add Chad Patrick?

Patrick will start for the Brewers on Friday night, so he's a streaming add. He's up 8.74% and is now rostered in 36.11% of leagues overall.

He's been good across 12 starts this season. Patrick has a 3-4 record and 2.73 earned run average across 62 2/3 innings, allowing 19 runs on 57 hits and 17 walks, while striking out 56 batters.

Patrick has only worked six innings on four occasions, and just once over his past three outings. He has failed to reach five innings in six of his outings, so while he's limited runs well, his fantasy ceiling is capped by not pitching deeper into games.

The Padres are not a fantasy team to target with a streaming pitcher, so I'm surprised Patrick has been added in as many leagues as he has been. Between the poor matchup and limited upside with Patrick, I'm not a huge fan of starting him tonight.

I'd be OK giving him some starts in deeper leagues, but I'd think there's better matchups available to you. I'd avoid Patrick in all standard redraft leagues tonight.

Things do get a little better for his next matchup as he's lined up to face the Braves. They are a stacked lineup like the Padres, but Atlanta has struggled most of this season, so they are a better fantasy matchup.

Should You Add Dean Kremer?

Kremer will start on Friday against the Athletics. He's been added in 3.67% of leagues so far today, and now sits at 22.91% overall.

Kremer has made 12 starts this season and is 5-5 with a 4.70 ERA across 67 innings so far. He's allowed 37 runs (35 earned) on 75 hits and 18 walks, while striking out 51 batters.

He has not faced the Athletics yet this season, but has been trending up of late. Kremer has allowed one run on 13 hits and three walks over his past two starts, which have covered 11 1/3 innings. He has 11 punchouts over those starts.

The Athletics have had a rough go of things over the past month or so, but did put up 14 runs in a win on Thursday. They are still a fine team to target in fantasy.

Kremer has pitched well enough of late to trust with some deeper redraft streaming starts today. He's not a must-add streamer though, and I think there's several better options available to you in standard leagues.

Should You Add Edward Cabrera?

Cabrera should be another streaming option on Friday. He's rostered in 33.69% of leagues after a 3.61% increase today.

Cabrera has made nine starts so far this season. He's 2-1 with a 4.14 ERA over 45 2/3 innings. Cabrera has allowed 21 runs on 46 hits and 19 walks, while striking out 48 batters.

He too is trending up of late, not allowing a run over his past two starts, which went for 11 1/3 innings combined. Cabrera allowed nine hits and five walks, but struck out 15 batters in total to work out of trouble. Those starts were against the Angels and Giants.

In five May starts, Cabrera went 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA over 27 innings. He allowed six runs on 24 hits and eight walks, while striking out 28 batters.

Cabrera will face the Rays on Friday. He hasn't faced them this season, but they are a pretty good streaming target in fantasy.

Cabrera has been trending up of late, and the pretty solid matchup makes him a good streaming option for Friday. I'd be fine with adding and streaming him in most deeper redraft leagues tonight. I also wouldn't mind starting him in some standard leagues if you aren't a huge fan of some of the other streaming options.

Cabrera has one of the highest fantasy ceilings tonight, and based on how he's pitched recently, I think there's a good chance he delivers good fantasy totals tonight.

Cabrera isn't just a player to add for tonight's start though. He could face the Pirates after this, who are one of the best fantasy matchups out there for a pitcher. You could add and start Cabrera in deeper leagues tonight and for that Pittsburgh start. Cabrera will be a great streaming option in standard leagues for the outing against Pittsburgh, granted he looks pretty good tonight.

Should You Add Shane Smith?

Smith started on June 3, so he's more on the rise for a good start and his next possible outing. He's owned in 41.39% of leagues after a 3.45% increase today.

He's made 12 starts this season, with the White Sox going 3-9 in those games. Smith is 2-3 with a 2.45 ERA over 62 1/3 innings though. He's allowed 24 runs (17 earned) on 46 hits and 25 walks, while striking out 60 batters.

Smith shutout the Tigers over 5 1/3 innings in his last outing. He allowed three runs and two walks, while striking out six.

Smith has not allowed over three runs in any of his past three starts, and has only given up over three runs in one outing all season. He has four scoreless outings.

He's expected to start next on Sunday against the Royals, who are a decent team to stream against. Smith faced KC back on May 5, taking the loss after working five innings. He allowed two runs on five hits and three walks, while striking out five batters.

Smith is pretty undervalued and underowned in fantasy leagues. Pitching for the White Sox really sucks up his fantasy value, but he's been really solid all season.

His start on Sunday is one to target, and it makes Smith a good streaming option overall. He's a player I'd happily add and stream in all deeper leagues on Sunday. I also wouldn't mind streaming Smith in standard leagues for that start.

Should You Add Ben Brown?

Brown was added in 3.4% of leagues, bringing his total mark to 22.64%.

Brown is starting on Friday against the Tigers, so he's yet another streaming option. He hasn't faced Detroit yet in 2025.

Brown has appeared in 12 games so far, making 10 starts. His last outing was a bulk relief appearance, and he's worked at least 3 2/3 innings in every appearance since his season debut.

Brown is 3-3 with a 5.72 ERA over 56 2/3 innings. He's allowed 37 runs (36 earned) on 64 hits and 19 walks, while striking out 71 batters.

He had a rollercoaster month of May on the mound. Brown opened and closed the month with six-inning shutouts of the Brewers and Reds. After his first start of the month, he worked 10 1/3 innings in his next two starts, allowing five runs, but also striking out 15 batters.

Brown then made starts against the lowly Marlins and Reds. He was plastered for 14 runs on 14 hits and two walks, while striking out 12 over nine total innings.

It's really tough to assess Brown after his recent results. Those two blowup starts also make his season numbers look really poor.

Detroit is an OK team to target in fantasy baseball. They are more average than anything.

Brown could deliver an ace-like outing, or be pounded for several runs over five or less innings. I could see either happening, and for that reason, I'd only like to stream Brown in deeper leagues today.

He needs more consistent results before we start him in standard leagues.
