Jack Flaherty lands on the injured list with flexor inflammation

Flaherty was recently placed on the 15-day injured list due to right flexor inflammation following his latest outing. The Detroit Tigers currently sit in fourth place in the American League Central with a 48-54 record and are dealing with a heavily impacted pitching staff that also features injuries to Justin Verlander, Casey Mize, and Reese Olson. Flaherty slots in as a crucial rotation piece when healthy, holding down the number two spot in the starting rotation behind Tarik Skubal.

Over his last 30 days, Flaherty has logged 20.2 innings with a 2.23 ERA and 24 strikeouts, showing strong ratios that outperform his overall 4.75 season ERA.
