Looking for offensive help? These trending hitters are gaining fantasy attention thanks to hot streaks, improved playing time and rising production.
After looking at some fantasy baseball starting pitcher streaming options for Thursday, let's go over another round of waiver wire hitters.
Here are the waiver wire hitter articles from Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Bryce Eldridge and Matt Chapman - San Francisco Giants
Eldridge is currently rostered in 38% of fantasy baseball leagues, which is up from 19% on June 4. Chapman is owned in 69% of leagues right now - he was at 54% back on June 5.
Eldridge put an exclamation point on the Giants' 11-10 win over the Nationals on Wednesday, hitting a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning. He also walked and scored a second run in that game.
He now has five hits over his past three games, and that includes two home runs and two doubles. Eldridge has six RBIs, four runs scored, three walks and two strikeouts over that span.
Eldridge has delivered big in his second big league season with the Giants. He has a .298 average and .385 on-base percentage over 28 games played and 109 plate appearances. Eldridge has 28 total hits, including nine doubles and four home runs, plus has added 12 RBIs, 17 runs scored, 14 walks and 24 strikeouts.
The first baseman is trending up right now, and he's getting in the lineup regularly, mostly as the team's designated hitter. Eldridge was a highly-touted prospect, and he's started to show why this season.
He should be added in more and more deeper leagues. Another week or so of hot hitting could get him into most deeper leagues, then turn him into a standard league option. Keep tabs on Eldridge and add him soon if you are interested in utilizing him.
Chapman posted four hits on Thursday, including two home runs. He also had three RBIs and three runs scored in the contest.
He has nine hits during a four-game hitting streak. Chapman has three extra-base hits in that span, plus five RBIs, three runs scored, three walks and no strikeouts.
The veteran third baseman has a .262 average and .345 OBP over 68 contests and 287 plate appearances this season. Chapman has 66 total knocks, including 17 doubles, six homers and a triple. He has 37 RBIs, 33 runs scored, 29 walks and 59 strikeouts as well.
Chapman has been trending up of late, and is producing the best stats he has in years. He's likely to regress in time, but while he's hot at the dish, he's worth adding and utilizing. Chapman should be rostered in all deeper leagues again now, and could be a short-term option in standard leagues. Utilize him before he cools off.
Dalton Rushing - Los Angeles Dodgers
Rushing has been added in 2.45% of leagues, and that brings his overall mark to 30.18%.
Rushing went hitless in his last game, but had five hits in his two appearances before that. He's more trending up as Will Smith continues to miss games with a neck injury. Smith is likely to hit the injured list, so Rushing will be the preferred starter in the meantime.
Over 37 games and 122 plate appearances this season, Rushing has a .275 average and .352 OBP. He has eight homers and four doubles among his 30 total knocks, plus 21 RBIs, 19 runs scored, 10 walks and 30 strikeouts.
He mostly catches, but doesn't play all that often when Smith is healthy. Rushing has appeared at first base four times and as the designated hitter four times, but Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani are the regulars there, so Rushing simply doesn't have a spot at which he can get regular at-bats, unless there's injuries.
Rushing can be added and utilized in some deeper leagues until Smith is back in the picture. If Rushing hits enough, he could even be a short-term standard league streaming option.
Trent Grisham - New York Yankees
Grisham is sitting at 66% rostered at this time. He was at 52% on June 7, so he's another hitter trending up of late.
Grisham has a hit in all but one game so far in June. He has 12 knocks over eight games this month, including two doubles, a homer and a triple. Grisham has two RBIs and stolen bases, seven runs scored, four walks and just two strikeouts as well.
The outfielder started the year slowly, but has been looking a lot better of late. He's back up to a .232 average and .342 OBP over 65 games and 260 plate appearances, and those marks line up pretty well with his 2025 campaign.
Grisham has 11 doubles, eight home runs and two triples among his 51 total hits. He also has posted 33 RBIs, 40 runs scored, six stolen bases, 38 walks and 42 strikeouts.
He's back to producing enough to roster and utilize in all deeper leagues. Grisham is back in some standard leagues as well, but he needs to be watched in case his production falls off. For as long as he's hitting though, expect Grisham's own percentage and usage to keep rising in fantasy leagues.
