Brandon Marsh - Philadelphia Phillies
Marsh has been added in 3.67% of fantasy baseball leagues, and now sits at 62.59% overall.
Marsh has at least one hit in all six games he's played this month, and has 12 hits in total. He has a homer in three straight games, plus at least one RBI in four straight contests.
Marsh has played in 60 games overall this season, getting 228 plate appearances so far. He has a .338 average and .368 on-base percentage. Marsh has 30 RBIs, 33 runs scored, five stolen bases, 11 walks and 52 strikeouts. Among his 72 total hits, Marsh has 11 doubles, eight home runs and two triples.
The Phillies' outfielder is having a stellar season at the plate, and earning regular playing time as a result. He is starting against left-handed pitchers now too, which just adds to his fantasy value. Marsh is one to own in all deeper leagues now, and he can be a standard league asset too for as long as his bat stays hot.
Colton Cowser - Baltimore Orioles
Cowser is up 3.03% today, which brings his overall mark to 14.81%.
He is riding a four-game hitting streak as a new work week begins. Cowser has six hits in that span, including homers in back-to-back games and an RBI in each contest.
Cowser has played in 56 games so far, logging 146 plate appearances. He has a .244 average and .324 OBP, along with 22 RBIs, 20 runs scored, a stolen base, 16 walks and 42 strikeouts. Cowser has 31 total hits, including six homers and three doubles.
The outfielder is earning regular playing time of late as his bat heats up a bit. Cowser has been a fantasy asset in the past, but his season-long numbers show how poorly he started the year. He's worth adding and utilizing in some deeper leagues, but it seems more likely that he'd top out as a deep-league asset in the long run.
Carson Benge - New York Mets
Benge is sitting at 52% owned right now. He was around 38% on the first day of this month, so he's risen pretty quickly.
He had a five-hit game on Sunday. Benge hit a homer and triple among the knocks, plus had two RBIs and three runs scored.
Benge has shown some solid things in his rookie year, which has spanned 62 games and 243 plate appearances so far. He has a .265 average and .325 OBP, plus 26 RBIs, 34 runs scored, 10 stolen bases, 17 walks and 52 strikeouts. Benge has 59 total hits, including seven homers, nine doubles and a triple.
The outfielder is doing enough to roster and utilize in most deeper leagues now. If he keeps putting together solid results at the plate, Benge could be worth utilizing in some standard leagues, so keep close tabs on him and don't wait too long to add the rookie.
Jung Hoo Lee - San Francisco Giants
Lee is rostered in 56.9% of leagues after a 2.69% increase today.
Lee just continues to keep raking. His hitting streak is up to 15 games, and he has 28 knocks in that timeframe. Lee has six extra-base hits, eight RBIs, 13 runs scored, two stolen bases, no walks and just two strikeouts in that span.
The outfielder has a .323 average and .357 OBP over 58 games and 235 plate appearances now on the season. Lee has 14 doubles, three homers and two triples among his 71 total knocks, plus 22 RBIs, 30 runs scored, two stolen bases, 10 walks and just 24 strikeouts.
Lee isn't a big power threat, but his high average and low strikeout totals make him a sneaky-good fantasy asset. He's worth more fantasy ownership/utilization, so definitely look into adding him today.
Brandon Valenzuela - Toronto Blue Jays
Valenzuela is rostered in 11% of fantasy leagues at this time. He was at just 6% three days ago, so he's trending up now.
The rookie catcher has at least one hit in four straight contests. Valenzuela has six knocks in that span, including three homers and two doubles. The catcher has six RBIs, four runs scored, two walks and just two strikeouts over that stretch.
Valenzuela has now appeared in 43 games, getting 135 plate appearances so far this season. He has a .256 average and .343 OBP, plus 16 RBIs, 17 runs scored, a stolen base, 16 walks and 30 strikeouts. The catcher has seven homers and five doubles among his 30 total knocks.
He's getting extra playing time as Alejandro Kirk is still out with his injury. Valenzuela might be earning himself playing time for the long haul (even after Kirk returns) with how he's hitting, especially of late. Valenzuela is worth adding in some deeper leagues today, and keeping an eye on in case his bat stays hot.
