Looking for a spot start or bullpen help? Here's a breakdown of the top fantasy baseball pitching additions and streamers.

A new week is here, so let's kick things off by looking at fantasy baseball starting pitcher streaming options and waiver wire pickups for Monday.

Check back in a bit for a waiver wire article on hitters.

Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!

Walker Buehler - San Diego Padres

Buehler has been added in 6.74% of fantasy baseball leagues already today as he prepares to make a start. He's rostered in 16.84% of leagues overall.

He will make a start against the Reds on Monday evening. That's a pretty good matchup on paper, so that's why he's being added today.

Buehler has appeared in 12 games, and he's 3-3 but with a 4.53 earned run average so far. He's covered 57 2/3 innings, allowing 29 runs on 54 hits and 20 walks. Buehler has struck out 49 batters so far.

Buehler has a nice matchup today, but he hasn't pitched well enough over the course of the season to be super confident in him today. He's pitched well enough of late to try in most deeper leagues though.

Alex Lange - Kansas City Royals

Lange is up 4.54% and now sits at 15.99% overall.

He appears to have the closer role to himself right now. Lange has earned three saves this season, and they all came within the past week.

Lange has pitched in 27 games overall. He's 0-2 with the three saves and a hold. Lange has a 4.03 ERA, allowing 14 runs (13 earned) on 25 hits and 15 walks, while striking out 31 batters over 29 innings.

Lange is trending up as he continues to serve as the team's closer. Carlos Estevez has been out injured most of the season, and Lucas Erceg struggled to replace him, so now Lange is getting a chance to close games. It's a situation to be watching closely, but Lange is definitely worth adding in some deeper leagues, at least.

Connelly Early - Boston Red Sox

Early has been picked up in 2.35% of leagues, which brings his overall mark to 79.12%.

He will make a start against the Rays on Monday. It's not the best matchup, but it's a matchup he delivered big in already this season. Back on May 8, Early tossed seven scoreless frames against Tampa Bay, allowing four hits and a walk, while striking out eight.

Over 12 starts this season, Early is 5-3 with a 3.26 ERA. He's allowed 24 runs on 55 hits and 23 walks over 66 1/3 innings. Early has struck out 63 batters as well.

Early is coming off a down start, but his overall marks have been pretty good. Throwing in his good start against Tampa Bay earlier this season and he becomes a pretty good option for the day. Early should be utilized in all deeper leagues today, and a good amount of standard leagues, especially with only eight games on the schedule.

Andrew Abbott - Cincinnati Reds

Abbott is sitting at 69% rostered right now. That will rise before he makes a start on Monday.

Abbott is the other half of the pitching matchup in that Reds, Padres clash. San Diego has been a surprisingly bad offense this season, so the matchup is favorable for Abbott.

He has pitched better over the last month and change, after a slow start to the season. Abbott has a 4.06 ERA over 13 starts. He is 4-3 and has allowed 33 runs (31 earned) on 68 hits and 31 walks over 68 2/3 innings, while striking out just 47 batters.

Abbott isn't the solid fantasy asset we expected him to be this season, but he's trending toward being that guy of late. Throw in a good matchup and I like utilizing Abbott in all deeper leagues and some standard leagues today. Give him some consideration as a streaming option at the very least.

Grant Taylor - Chicago White Sox

Taylor is owned in 27% of leagues right now, which is up from 22% back on June 5.

He picked up his second save of the season in his most recent appearance, so that's why he is on the rise. Taylor has pitched in 25 games, and he is 1-0 with the two saves, a blown save and four holds.

Taylor has allowed 10 runs (seven) earned over 32 2/3 innings for a stellar 1.93 ERA. He's given up 25 hits and nine walks, while punching out 50 batters.

Taylor is a decent deep-league asset even if he's not earning saves. Throw in the chance for saves now and he's one to add in more deeper leagues. Chicago is winning enough this season, so if he sticks as the team's closer, Taylor could eventually work into standard fantasy leagues.
