After just going over some potential fantasy baseball draft busts at second base, let's look over some possible draft steal options.

Here are the other positions we've covered so far: first basemen (steals and busts), catchers (steals and busts) outfielders (steals and busts), shortstops (steals and busts) and third basemen (steals and busts). Check back for more in the days/weeks to come!

Nico Hoerner - Chicago Cubs

Hoerner is the third fantasy second baseman off draft boards so far, going at pick 61.92 on average.

Hoerner was the top-scoring fantasy second baseman in 2025, and he could challenge for that spot again. He's going way after Ketel Marte and Jazz Chisholm Jr., so that puts Hoerner in draft steal territory.

He doesn't hit for much power, but with a high average/on-base percentage and low strikeout totals, Hoerner can be a nice fantasy asset. Toss in some stolen bases and run production and Hoerner is a sneaky-good fantasy asset.

Hoerner has a good outlook in Chicago, and at 28 years old, I see him delivering big again in 2026. I'd love grabbing him as my top fantasy 2B, especially because you can fill out several other positions first.

Brice Turang - Milwaukee Brewers

Turang is the fifth fantasy baseman taken, but at the same pick (77.08) as Houston's Jose Altuve.

Turang was the No. 4 fantasy finisher at second base in 2025. I think he could challenge for the top spot in 2026.

He's improved in his first three MLB seasons, and at 26 years old, I think he's going to keep improving. I like Turang's outlook in Milwaukee and think he's another sneaky-good fantasy asset.

He had a .288 average and .359 OBP last season, plus flashed some power. Turang has stolen base upside and good run production too. What's not to like? Draft him as a top fantasy 2B and I bet you'll love the results.

Gleyber Torres - Detroit Tigers

Torres is the seventh fantasy 2B taken, sitting at pick 114 or so.

He was the No. 5 fantasy 2B last season, so you can already see he is capable of outperforming his ADP this season. At 29 years old, I think Torres is in for a career season.

Torres posted solid overall numbers in 2025, and is on a one-year deal for 2026, which should incentivize him to really shine. I like his outlook in Detroit and think he's destined for another top-five finish at the position.

Getting him as a starting fantasy 2B is OK with me, although I'd probably want to have one more option, just in case he doesn't pan out, or finishes closer to 2B10 by the end of the year. I think he will at least match his ADP by season's end if he's healthy, which makes him a value pick, and a potential draft steal.

Luke Keaschall - Minnesota Twins

Keaschall isn't going until about pick 145, which makes him 2B13 overall.

He flashed big upside in a 49-game rookie season. Keaschall hit .302 and got on base at a .382 clip. He was mostly a contact hitter, but stolen bases and run production helps him offset lower power numbers.

Keaschall had a really good fantasy outlook in Minnesota, and I think he could easily outperform his ADP. Grabbing him as a second fantasy 2B sets up a fantastic chance for him to outperform that and become your daily fantasy starter at the position.

If he keeps hitting like he did in 2025 for the full 2026 campaign, we could be talking about one of the top fantasy draft steals in baseball, not just at second base.

Brendan Donovan - Seattle Mariners

Donovan is the 15th fantasy second baseman off draft boards, going near pick 154 on average so far.

Donovan has a new home after spending his first four years with St. Louis. His outlook in Seattle is much higher than it was in 2025.

Donovan got in just 118 games, but he had a good average and overall production. With a career .282 average and .361 OBP, plus some pop and run production, I think Donovan is one of the more underappreciated hitters in the league.

Some availability issues are still a concern, but at his ADP, the risk is so small that it really doesn't hurt to take a chance on Donovan. I think he could finish as a top-10 fantasy 2B, which means he's a daily starter. Getting that for your final pick could help your team over the edge.
