Junior Caminero - Tampa Bay Rays
Caminero is the second third baseman off draft boards and is going near pick 21 so far, but I still think he's capable of being a draft steal in 2026.
He was the 12th overall fantasy hitter last season in ESPN points leagues. Caminero improved his numbers from his first couple seasons, and got in 154 contests.
Caminero had a .264 average and .311 on-base percentage. If those stats improve in 2026, there's a good chance he improves his overall fantasy standing. I could see him as a top-10 hitter, and finishing in the top 10 overall if everything lines up for him.
So while fantasy owners are spending an early pick on him already, I think there's room for improvement, thus making him a draft steal option. I'd be thrilled to get him at the end of round 2, or the beginning of round 3.
Alex Bregman - Chicago Cubs
Bregman is the fourth fantasy third baseman off draft boards and is going around pick 47 so far.
He played in just 114 games last season, but finished as 3B8 in fantasy. A fully healthy season could mean huge things for Bregman.
Injuries haven't been super common for Bregman over his career, so I'm not worried about that going into 2026. While his ADP is near 50, I've also seen him falling way past that spot.
Getting him as a top fantasy 3B option is fine in my eyes - you could always draft another third baseman if you are worried about his availability. I see Bregman outperforming his ADP here in his first year with the Cubs.
Austin Riley - Atlanta Braves
Riley is usually a top-end fantasy third baseman, but back-to-back injury-riddled seasons has him down at 3B5 and going near pick 73 on average.
When healthy the past two seasons, Riley has been a high-end fantasy hitter and third baseman. He really just needs to stay healthy to regain his high-end fantasy upside.
There's no reason to expect a dropoff in production from him, as he's still only 28 years old. Riley is part of a loaded lineup still, so that's working in his favor too.
I'd probably want a second fantasy 3B option, in case he gets hurt again, but I'd be happy to take Riley as my top guy, as I think he's going to bounce back in a healthier season. The risk could result in a massive payoff, and it's one I'm willing to take.
Eugenio Suarez - Cincinnati Reds
Suarez is 3B6 off draft boards, going near pick 84 on average. I think that's far too late.
He was 3B5 last season during a 49-homer campaign. Some regression could be coming, especially in his age-34 season, but in a sneaky-good Cincinnati lineup, I think Suarez is still able to outproduce his ADP.
I feel like most are expecting a dropoff from Suarez, and it's made his ADP respectable and created room for him to be a draft steal. Take a chance on him.
Getting him as an additional infielder or utility guy is how I like him best. If you take him to be your top guy, then I'd want another fantasy 3B option who can post a bit higher average.
Maikel Garcia - Kansas City Royals
Garcia is the seventh third baseman off draft boards, going around pick 104 on average.
He was 3B3 last season, which should be enough said. It was a bounceback campaign for him, but without him stacking two good years in a row, it lowered his ADP heading into 2026.
That's helped him be an affordable draft pick, and creates a lot of room for him to become a draft steal. I wouldn't mind getting him as a starting 3B, but getting him as a second guy who you can start at an additional infield or utility spot is probably where I like him best as well.
Garcia is about to turn 26, so I don't expect him to fall off for several years. If anything, I could see him taking his play to a new level, which would only make him a bigger draft steal.
