It’s about to that point in the season when things just melt into “regular season.” You lose track of time and even team performance as we slog through the day-to-day grind of a long season, with only certain occasions (like the All-Star break) breaking up the monotony.

Let’s run through Saturday’s goalie matchups by the measure of opponent shots per game and goals per game rankings. Those stats were compared to give each team a matchup ranking; a positive number means that team shoots more and doesn’t score as many goals, giving more quality save opportunities.
