Let's wrap up our fantasy football average draft position series by discussing tight ends.

We have already looked at quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers. Also check out our ADP breakdown of the first three rounds of picks.

Fantasy football average draft position data can be found on FantasySP in the leadup to the 2026 NFL season! Conduct your fantasy football mock drafts through FantasySP too - you can now customize the scoring settings to tailor to your fantasy leagues!

Trey McBride - Arizona Cardinals

McBride is the first tight end off draft boards, barely. He's going at pick 19 on average so far.

He's coming off a monster season and should remain a huge part of the team's offense again in 2026. McBride has competition for targets and production, but he should put up monster numbers again if he's healthy.

It's always a bit risky to take tight ends early in fantasy drafts, but McBride has proven to be a high-end fantasy asset the past few seasons, so he's a tight end to take a chance on in the last second round or early third.

Brock Bowers - Las Vegas Raiders

Bowers is the No. 2 tight end taken, going a pick after McBride.

Bowers struggled in his second NFL season (compared to his first), but better days should be ahead. Kirk Cousins or Fernando Mendoza at quarterback are an improvement at the position, so hopefully Bowers and whatever QB is playing can develop good chemistry.

I'm a bit more skeptical of taking Bowers this early, but he is capable of delivering to that level. Just know there's some risk after last season, which was also cut shorter due to injuries.

Colston Loveland - Chicago Bears

Loveland is the third tight end off draft boards, going near pick 42 so far.

He enjoyed a nice rookie season, and fantasy owners are expecting more from him in 2026. Chicago has several pass catchers on the roster, and adding a third-round TE this offseason only adds to the competition.

I'd still expect big things from Loveland in the coming year. The ADP is pretty solid, so as long as it doesn't go up too much, I'm good taking Loveland near that pick.

Tyler Warren - Indianapolis Colts

Warren is going near pick 60 on average.

His rookie season was pretty solid, and he's another TE who is expected to take another step forward in the coming year. Warren has a good outlook with Indy, where there's less proven pass catchers than in Chicago.

Warren has a pretty solid ADP, and I like the value of drafting him near that spot. If he takes a step forward, he will be a draft steal.

Tucker Kraft - Green Bay Packers

Kraft is the No. 5 fantasy TE taken so far, going near pick 76.

He was on his way to a career year in 2025 before tearing his ACL in his eighth game of the year. Kraft is expected to be ready for the start of the season, but could maybe be on a play count limit as he eases back into action.

His ADP isn't unreasonable right now, and I think there's a ton of value in getting him near that pick. If he stays healthy and picks up where he left off before the injury, he could be one of the bigger fantasy draft steals this season.

Harold Fannin - Cleveland Browns

Fannin is the next tight end taken, going near pick 80.

He was a really solid fantasy asset as a rookie, and if he takes a step forward, Fannin could be a top-five option at the position. Cleveland doesn't have a ton of pass catchers who are proven, but also have a quarterback issue to work through yet.

Those QB questions are keeping Fannin's ADP at a pretty reasonable spot. I think there's good value in getting Fannin near that pick, and there's a decent chance he outperforms that pick.

Kyle Pitts Sr. - Atlanta Falcons

Pitts is the seventh fantasy tight end taken so far. He's going near pick 84 right now.

He had arguably his best season in 2025, and got rewarded with a three-year contract this offseason. Pitts should remain a big part of the Falcons' offense, even with Bijan Robinson and Drake London leading the way.

Pitts offers good value near his ADP. As long as his ADP doesn't go way up before the season, he'll probably be one of my favorite value picks at the position going into next season.

Sam LaPorta - Detroit Lions

LaPorta is the next fantasy tight end taken so far, going near pick 92.

Since a big rookie season, LaPorta has regressed in each of the past two seasons. He only got in nine games a season ago, so there's an injury issue to be concerned about now too. If healthy, he should be a significant part of the offense, behind Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown and maybe Jameson Williams.

If LaPorta bounces back and looks more like his rookie self, he could be a big-time draft steal. I like his ADP right now and think there's some good value in getting him near that pick. I'd definitely want another fantasy TE option on my roster, but LaPorta is worthy of a pick near that ADP in my eyes.

George Kittle - San Francisco 49ers

Kittle is the ninth fantasy TE taken right now. He's going near pick 106.

Kittle tore his Achilles last season, and he did it in January, so his 2026 season is in question. He hopes to return by November, but there's a chance he misses most, or all, of the upcoming season.

Kittle is an interesting draft option for the coming season. I don't mind taking him late, but you'll be stashing him for most of the season, so have another option or two at tight end while Kittle is out.

Dalton Kincaid - Buffalo Bills

Kincaid is the final fantasy tight end in the top 10, going near pick 107.

Kincaid had a solid fantasy season in 2025, but hasn't truly broken out like many expected him to after being a first-round pick in 2023. He's part of an offense where he could do big damage, and maybe the addition of D.J. Moore will open some things up for the tight end.

His ADP is more than fair right now. Again, I'd want another fantasy TE option if Kincaid was my first pick at the position. We'll see if he can finally break out, but right now, I more see him as a weekly option, not a locked-in starter.

The Next TEs Picked

The next two tight ends picked are Kansas City's Travis Kelce (pick 109) and Dallas' Jake Ferguson (111).

New York Giants' Isaiah Likely (118), Baltimore's Mark Andrews (122), Los Angeles Chargers' Oronde Gadsden (123) and Philadelphia's Dallas Goedert (125) are the next tight ends off draft boards so far.

New Orleans' Juwan Johnson (136) and Jacksonville's Brenton Strange (139) are TEs taken in the 130s.

New York Jets' Kenyon Sadiq (140), Hunter Henry (141) and Washington's Chig Okonkwo (146) are other tight ends in the top-150 picks.
