Sophomore Tight End Set for Expanded Role and Deep-League Appeal

After a solid rookie campaign in which he hauled in 50 receptions for 408 yards and two touchdowns, Gunnar Helm enters his second season with eyes on a much larger role. Although he is officially listed behind Daniel Bellinger on the tight end depth chart, Helm's developmental trajectory and recent reports suggest he will be heavily involved in the passing game.

Our models project Helm to take a step forward in 2026, forecasting 52 receptions for 473 yards and four touchdowns on 78 targets. This increased look share reflects a growing trust in the young tight end, who is currently rostered in only three percent of fantasy leagues, making him an under-the-radar option.

From a draft market perspective, Helm's ADP has stabilized around 189.00 after a brief spike earlier in the summer. At this nearly free price tag, our projections view Helm as a fantastic late-round value steal in 1.0 PPR formats, offering a secure weekly floor with potential breakout upside.
