Friday Fantasy Baseball SP Streamer Rankings: Spencer Arrighetti Tops List
Five starting pitchers with good matchups on Friday who are widely available in fantasy leagues.
I don't have a big preamble for you today; we made it to another weekend, what more could we ask for?
Let's look at five starting pitchers in action on Friday who have good matchups and are widely available in fantasy leagues. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.
Use FantasySP's waiver wire tool to find the players who are being added to fantasy teams most often!
Spencer Arrighetti, Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers
Arrighetti has thrown just over 200 career innings, and he has been an above-average strikeout pitcher in that time while walking way too many guys. That has held in 2026, and Arrighetti has also been fantastic limiting hitters, giving up just 20 hits, eight runs (six earned), and one home run in 28 2/3 innings. He will give up more runs (and homers), but Arrighetti has been a high-level pitcher early in the season.
The Rangers rank in the bottom 10 in essentially every offensive box stat while also striking out at a top-10 rate; there's not much of a redeeming factor in their performance. If this holds, it would be the third straight season in which Texas harbored a bottom-10 offense, making it a trend, not an aberration. This game is away from their home park (a major pitcher's park), but I'm still interested in going after the Rangers.
Arrighetti is a mid-to-high-level streamer. The matchup is right, and his strikeout work gives Arrighetti a decent floor and ceiling even if he does give up more offensive production.
Aaron Civale, Athletics vs. San Francisco Giants
San Francisco isn't as bottom-feeding across all stats as some of our favorite targets, but they have been especially inept in several areas. The Giants rank last in runs and on-base percentage, and they are in the bottom five in home runs, slugging percentage, and OPS.
They're also last in walks, but it's not just that they rank at the bottom of that stat: San Fran has over 30 fewer BBs than any other team. The second-worst team, Arizona, is as close to the middle of the league in walks as they are to the last-place Giants. It's a true anomaly.
I trash-talked Civale a little last season because he lost his rotation spot in Milwaukee and asked for a trade, eventually ending up with the White Sox; he went from the team that finished with the best record to a team that was among the worst. Now with the A's, Civale is off to a good start, allowing just 12 runs and four homers in 41 2/3 innings. He has been good with walks and a little below average with strikeouts, but Civale is a feasible streamer right now.
Civale is a low-to-mid-level streamer. I don't trust that his high-level run prevention will continue, and without big strikeout numbers, that means his fantasy value would drop significantly. That said, Civale is worthy of consideration right now when the matchup is right.
Kyle Freeland, Colorado Rockies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
Freeland has spent his entire 10-year career in Colorado; it's a rough life for a pitcher (the millions of dollars surely make up for it). He has generally been good with walks but well below average with strikeouts, and while his Ks are up a little this season, he is also getting hit hard, sitting with an ERA of 6.00 and a home run allowed every 4.3 innings. This game takes place in Colorado, a negative for the pitchers in question.
Arizona also plays in a good hitter's park, but they have struggled in many areas through the first month-and-a-half of the season. The Diamondbacks rank in the bottom 10 in runs, hits, home runs, walks, batting average, on-base percentage, and OPS. They do lead the league in triples, which is something, but they still have just 12 on the season, only outpacing the middle of the league by six or so.
Freeland is a low-level streamer. Pitching in Coors Field hurts him, and the D-Backs also don't strike out much, setting a low ceiling.
Zack Littell, Washington Nationals vs. Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles were a top offensive team for a few years before falling into the bottom 10 unexpectedly last season. There is still time for a bounce-back, but Baltimore tops out around the middle in most areas, hitting for some power but not doing much else. They are also in the top five in most batter strikeouts, setting a nice ceiling for opposing pitchers.
Littell fits a common type here on our streaming list, doing well limiting walks but also sitting below average in strikeout rate. He has been hit extremely hard this season, allowing 45 hits, 35 runs, and 14 home runs (!!!) in 36 1/3 innings, and while seven of those runs were unearned, those are still brutal numbers. In his career, Littell has given up a homer every 5.7 innings, a worse-than-average rate, but that's still much better than this season's rate of one every 2.6 innings, which is completely untenable. That number will improve because it has to, but Littell is still tough to trust.
Littell is a low-level streamer. The matchup is more good than great, and Littell just hasn't been good enough in any area to consider putting into your lineup right now.
Ty Madden, Detroit Tigers vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Madden has made two appearances this season, both of them five-plus innings after taking over for an opener. I've talked in the past about how openers are generally bad fantasy players, but the guys who come in after the opener get the flip side, as they don't have to face the top of the order the first time through, and they can more easily pick up a win without having to go five innings. Madden has been a very average pitcher in his short big-league time, and good strikeout work in the minors gives him some upside.
Toronto is the biggest surprise among the target teams right now, ranking in the bottom 10 (or very close to it) in runs, doubles, home runs, walks, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS. They don't strike out, actually sitting with the fewest batter strikeouts, and they are better with hits and average, but the Blue Jays aren't getting free runners or hitting for power to knock them in.
Madden is a low-to-mid-level streamer. He has a very small track record, and many expect Toronto to improve, but for the time being, this matchup has a little intrigue.
