Dynasty Baseball Watch: 8 Hitting Prospects to Keep Tabs On
From near-MLB-ready bats to long-term dynasty stash candidates, here are eight young hitting prospects fantasy managers should be tracking closely.
It's been a bit since we discussed MLB prospects in depth, so let's do just that today.
We will focus on players age 25 or younger, so a focus more on dynasty leagues, and to a degree, redraft leagues. We'll look at hitters here, then pitchers in another article.

Edwin Arroyo - Cincinnati Reds
Arroyo has 55 hits so far on the season. Among the knocks, he has eight doubles and home runs, plus four triples. Arroyo also has 33 runs scored, 29 RBIs, 17 walks, five stolen bases and 29 strikeouts.
He is the team's No. 6 prospect, and has a 2026 MLB ETA. The 22-year-old shortstop was a second-round pick in 2021, and has a 50 overall grade as a prospect.
He's been great this season, and he could eventually be called up to the big leagues, especially if the Reds' offense continues to struggle a bit. Be watching for Arroyo's call up.
He'll be worth adding in some deeper redraft leagues right away, and he could work into more leagues with good results at the plate. Arroyo has a better long-term outlook, so he's one to stash in dynasty leagues.
Cole Carrigg - Colorado Rockies
Carrigg is his team's No. 6 prospect as well. He has a 2026 ETA after being drafted in 2023. Carrigg is 23 years old and playing in Triple-A as well.
Carrigg has 55 hits, including eight doubles, four triples and four home runs. He has 37 runs scored, 29 RBIs, 12 walks, 24 stolen bases and 23 strikeouts.
The outfielder should get a crack in the big leagues in due time, at which point he will be a deep-league redraft fantasy option. He too could work into standard leagues with good MLB results.
Carrigg's long-term outlook is lower than Arroyo's as a bit older player, but it's still pretty solid, so Carrigg can be stashed in a good amount of dynasty leagues.
Jason Schiavone - Houston Astros
Schiavone is not a top-30 ranked prospect for the Astros, although he could be in time. The 23-year-old was an 11th-round pick in 2024.
Schiavone has popped 15 home runs across 30 games at High-A. He has 29 hits overall, with seven doubles as well. Schiavone also has 35 RBIs, 32 runs scored, 34 walks, nine stolen bases and 47 strikeouts.
The catcher/first baseman is starting to make a name for himself, so he's one to keep tabs on. Schiavone doesn't need to be watched in redraft leagues, as he's likely a year or more away from a potential MLB debut.
His dynasty outlook is rising, but not touted as a high-end prospect, Schiavone should only be rostered in super deep dynasty leagues.
Pedro Ramirez - Chicago Cubs
Ramirez is the No. 98 prospect in baseball. The 22-year-old has a 2026 ETA. He was signed by Chicago in 2021.
He has driven in 39 runs across 38 games at Triple-A. He has 47 total hits, including 10 doubles, a triple and nine home runs. Ramirez has 17 walks, 32 runs scored, 15 stolen bases and 29 strikeouts.
Ramirez can play a couple infield spots, which helps his cause in reaching the big leagues at some point. A change of scenery might be his best chance at regular playing time in the MLB, so he'll be a name to keep tabs on near the trade deadline, if he hasn't been called up to the big leagues already.
He's definitely a player to keep tabs on in all leagues. Ramirez could be a redraft option when he's called up, and he has a solid long-term outlook, so he's worth stashing in dynasty leagues.
Tanner Thach - Colorado Rockies
Thach isn't a top-30 prospect for Colorado at the moment. That could change in time if he keeps delivering.
He was drafted in the eighth round of the 2025 MLB Draft. Thach is primarily a first baseman, but can also play the outfield in a pinch. That extra position versatility could help him get to the big leagues at some point.
Thach has 39 RBIs as well this season, but in just 34 games at Single-A. He has 44 total hits, including 11 doubles, six homers and a triple. Thach has 24 runs scored, 14 walks and 27 strikeouts.
He is a couple years from a possible MLB debut most likely, so he's more a dynasty asset than a redraft option anytime soon. Thach isn't a high-end prospect, or even ranked, so he's only worth holding in super deep dynasty leagues.
He is a name to keep tabs on after how he's started this season though.
Bennett Thompson - Cleveland Guardians
Thompson isn't a top-30 prospect for Cleveland. He's 23 years old and playing in High-A for now. Thompson was a 13th-round pick in 2024.
In 23 games and over 101 plate appearances, Thompson has 20 hits, including six doubles and three home runs. He has 31 walks, 18 runs scored, 12 RBIs, a stolen base and 22 strikeouts.
The plate discipline has his on-base percentage at .515, which is certainly a notable number. If he can keep that up, Thompson could make work his way into the team's top-30 prospects in time.
He's another guy you can glance over in redraft leagues, but he is someone to keep tabs on in dynasty leagues. Only roster him in super deep dynasty leagues, but keep tabs on him and be ready to add him if his stats remain high and he starts to rise up the prospect charts.
Mike Sirota - Los Angeles Dodgers
Sirota is the No. 45 prospect in all of baseball. He's 22 years old and playing in High-A for now, although his ETA is 2027 still. Sirota was a third-round pick in 2024.
Sirota has 34 hits and 29 walks for a stellar .489 OBP this season. He has 10 doubles, seven home runs and a triple among his 34 total hits, plus 33 runs scored, 19 RBIs, seven stolen bases and 30 strikeouts.
He's part of a loaded organization, so his best path to the big leagues could be from a change of scenery. We'll see if LA flips him at the deadline in the next year or two.
Sirota doesn't have any redraft upside for 2026, unless he gets a late call up. Considering that he's in High-A now, I don't see that happening.
His long-term outlook is really strong though, so he's worth stashing in a lot of dynasty leagues, even if he's a year-plus away from debuting.
Kayson Cunningham - Arizona Diamondbacks
Cunningham is the No. 95 prospect in all of baseball. He's just 19 years old and already playing in Single-A. Cunningham was a first-round pick last summer, and has a 2029 ETA.
He has 39 hits and 18 walks over 118 plate appearances this season for a stellar .487 OBP. Cunningham has 39 hits, including five doubles and two triples. He has 22 runs scored, 16 RBIs, two stolen bases and 15 strikeouts so far.
He's trending up as a prospect, and should rise in the top-100 prospects in time. Cunningham is a couple years from debuting, so he's just an asset in dynasty leagues. Stash him in as many of those leagues as you can, and hope he debuts sooner than 2029 - I think it's a possibility, especially with how he looks right now.
