Edwin Arroyo provides a spark in the Reds' lineup during a red-hot stretch

Arroyo has been electric lately, batting .375 with an .827 OPS over his last seven days. While the fifth-place Reds currently sit at 39-46 and are enduring a four-game skid, the rookie has secured his spot as the everyday second baseman. Despite the team's struggles, his .344 average over the last 14 days confirms he is finding his footing in the big leagues just 25 games into his career.

While his recent contact is encouraging, our data suggests there is more categorical upside to come. He is currently hitting .268, which is well above our season projection of .226, but he has yet to record a home run or stolen base since his promotion. Given that he flashed double-digit power and elite speed in Triple-A earlier this year, his current hit tool suggests that the power and speed will eventually translate to our models' expected outcomes.
