Rising Fantasy Baseball Hitters to Target on the Waiver Wire
Breaking down the latest hitters trending up across fantasy baseball leagues.
After looking over some fantasy baseball waiver wire/streaming pitchers, let's now go over some hitters on the rise.
Here is the last hitter waiver wire article we did, which links back to stories from earlier in the week too.
Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Jeremiah Jackson - Baltimore Orioles
Jackson is a guy we discussed early in the week, but he's still high atop add lists, so we'll discuss him again. He is up 11.11% today, which brings his overall mark to 60.53%.
Jackson has moved up to sixth in the order the past two games, after hitting ninth before that. He continues to hit well and get on base repeatedly.
Over 17 games and 58 plate appearances overall, Jackson has a .321 average and .328 on-base percentage. He has two doubles and four home runs among his 18 total knocks. Jackson has 14 RBIs, five runs scored, no walks yet and 14 punchouts.
He failed to post a hit in his last game, but had a six-game hitting streak before that. Jackson had 12 knocks in that span, including four homers and two doubles.
Jackson has been a solid hitter since making the big leagues in 2025. He is getting extra run right now with Jackson Holliday banged up and still on the mend. Jackson is one to keep tabs on, but for now, he's a good deep-league asset, and could be streamed in standard leagues.
Oswald Peraza - Los Angeles Angels
Peraza has been picked up in 2.66% of leagues, and he now sits at 4.97% overall.
Peraza's bat has been hot of late, with him collecting six hits over his past five contests. He was hitless in two of those appearances, but also didn't start one of those games.
He has a .269 average and .345 OBP over 18 games and 59 plate appearances so far. Peraza has four homers and three doubles among his 14 total knocks, plus eight RBIs, six runs scored, three stolen bases, six walks and 13 strikeouts.
Three of his homers have come over that five-game stretch, so he's seeing the ball well right now. He mostly has hit near the bottom of the order, but hit sixth two games ago and fourth on Thursday.
He's just a deep-league option, and a really deep one at that. Peraza could become a bigger fantasy asset if his bat stays hot, so keep tabs on him.
Dillon Dingler - Detroit Tigers
Dingler is rostered in 55.43% of leagues after being added in 4.56% of leagues today.
Dingler has a .283 average and .367 OBP over 16 contests and 62 plate appearances. He has four homers and three doubles among his 15 total knocks, plus 14 RBIs, nine runs scored, three walks and 10 strikeouts.
He has four extra-base hits (two doubles and homers) in his past three games. Dingler has six RBIs, two runs scored and no strikeouts in that span.
When in the lineup, the catcher is usually hitting fourth or fifth, so that's another positive for his fantasy outlook. Dingler is kind of sliding under the radar right now, but could be owned in most leagues pretty quickly.
He's definitely worth the adds and starts in deeper leagues. Dingler could be a solid second catcher in standard leagues, or utilize him as a utility hitter if you need some help. If you aren't ready to add him today, keep tabs on him, as he could really take off going forward.
Ildemaro Vargas - Arizona Diamondbacks
Vargas has jumped to 18% owned. He was barely owned as of April 9.
He has played in 12 games and gotten 49 plate appearances so far for Arizona. Vargas has at least one hit in every game, and 18 overall, including five doubles, a triple and two home runs.
He also has eight RBIs, 10 runs scored, two walks and seven strikeouts so far. Vargas has played four positions so far, so it's worth seeing where he's eligible to play in your fantasy league.
For now, he's another deep-league fantasy asset. He's hit first or sixth over the past four games, and that holds his outlook down just a bit. Vargas could sneak into standard leagues eventually though, but needs to keep hitting in order to get there.
Jung Hoo Lee - San Francisco Giants
Lee sits near just 27% owned right now, but I believe he should start rising soon. He is up nearly 2% from yesterday, so maybe it's begun.
Lee has 16 knocks on the season, and 10 of those have come over the past six contests. He has a homer and three doubles among the 10 hits.
Lee has a .246 average and .301 OBP in 19 games and over 73 plate appearances this season. He has a homer and six doubles among his 16 total hits, plus eight RBIs, six runs scored, six walks and 11 strikeouts.
He's importantly playing daily and hitting fifth or sixth, which are solid spots for his outlook. Lee is a better deep-league asset right now, but if he keeps hitting, he could sneak into standard leagues down the line.
