Win the Day With Sunday's Best Fantasy Baseball Pitching Streamers
Five starting pitchers with good matchups on Sunday who are widely available in fantasy leagues.
Sundays outside the NFL season can be drab; it's the last day before starting a new work week, and there tends to be a lack of interesting television until the later evening. At least there are generally full slates on the MLB schedule, so those with access to MLB.TV do get some benefit.
(It's also the last day of the NBA season, but there's not much on the line with every playoff team locked in and only a few seeding questions left to answer. Maybe the postseason will offer a little more excitement.)
Let's look at five starting pitchers in action on Sunday who are widely available in fantasy leagues and have good matchups. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Brayan Bello, Boston Red Sox @ St. Louis Cardinals
Bello has been average with walks and a little below average with strikeouts in his career. He matched that work over most of the past two seasons while limiting hitters, giving up fewer than a hit per inning and a home run every 9.4 innings, a very good rate. The beginning of 2026 hasn't been great: eight innings, 13 hits, 10 runs (eight earned), seven walks, and seven strikeouts. I still believe Bello can put up at least average work, though we can't ignore these early-season struggles.
The Cardinals have been a middling offensive team so far, falling short of that level in some areas. They haven't necessarily stood out as a team we would look to target often, but St. Louis isn't a scary team to face and seems to have a lower ceiling, even if the bottom never falls out. It doesn't help their cause that they shed more talent than they've added since the trade deadline.
Bello is a low-to-mid-level streamer. There's not a lot of upside here, leaving him more toward the bottom of that range given his early-season struggles. In a deep league, though, you can do much worse than a guy who has found success the past two years.
Noah Cameron, Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox
The White Sox remain as one of the best targets for opposing pitchers, matching top-five strikeout numbers with a lack of power and league-worst run production. This is a continuous issue; Chicago has been the worst franchise of the last half-decade. We will keep coming after the White Sox until major shifts take place.
After a good rookie season, Cameron has continued finding success in 2026, combining for 10 2/3 innings in his first two starts with 10 hits, two runs, two walks, and 10 strikeouts. He generally makes shorter starts, but Cameron has been very productive when on the mound, making him an enticing fantasy player.
Cameron is a mid-to-high-level streamer. I might be expecting just a little too much, but the matchup couldn't be much better, and Cameron's success in his short career portends more good things.
Cade Povich, Baltimore Orioles vs. San Francisco Giants
Povich has made one appearance this season, a 5 2/3-inning relief appearance when Chris Bassitt was knocked out early last Sunday. He had an OK game, allowing four hits and two runs with three walks and two strikeouts. He has been an average strikeout pitcher in his career while walking a few too many guys and getting hit a little hard, giving up more than one base hit per inning and a homer every 6.6 innings (a rate close enough to average, though a little worse).
San Francisco lost 6-2 yesterday, the ninth time in 15 games that they have scored three or fewer runs. The Giants rank in the bottom five in runs and have hit the fewest home runs, leaving a nice floor for opposing pitchers. They are an even better target at home (a major pitcher's park), but we will go after San Francisco no matter where they are playing.
Povich is a low-to-mid-level streamer. The Giants are a prime target early in the season, and Povich has been good enough to consider, though he also has a lower floor than some other guys listed here.
Roki Sasaki, Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Texas Rangers
Texas was a bottom-10 offensive team last season, and while some of that can be attributed to their home park, the Rangers weren't great on the road either, letting their offensive woes pull down a great pitching performance. They have mostly been below average this year, hitting for power but also ranking in the bottom five in walks and on-base percentage and the bottom 10 in runs. The Rangers also are just outside the top 10 in most batter strikeouts.
Sasaki has struggled hard to open 2026, the same as he did for most of 2025 (along with a long injury layoff). In two starts, Sasaki has combined for nine innings with nine hits, seven runs, two home runs, five walks, and nine strikeouts. There was a lot of fanfare for the young pitcher when he entered the league last season, but Sasaki's best work has come in relief, something that doesn't help his case as a valuable fantasy starter.
Sasaki is a low-level streamer. We will keep expecting him to find his stride, but until he does, it's hard to trust him to put together good performances. This game also takes place in Los Angeles (a hitter's park) instead of Texas, starting him from a lower level.
Jameson Taillon, Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
Over the past few seasons, Taillon has remained very good with walks, but his strikeouts have dropped to a below-average mark after better numbers earlier in his career. He has done well limiting hits while giving up a few too many home runs, but Taillon has done well preventing runs overall, keeping an ERA below 3.70 each of the past two seasons.
After losing three of their first four games, the Pirates have since gone 8-2, including beating the Cubs each of the past two days. Pittsburgh sits near the middle in most offensive stats while riding their pitching to the hot start. They were one of the worst offensive teams last season, so I'm still skeptical that they will rise to an above-average level, but I am tentatively willing to accept that the Pirates can continue hitting better.
Taillon is a low-to-mid-level streamer. His falling strikeout rate lowers his fantasy ceiling, and with the Pirates looking functional on offense so far, it also brings down Taillon's floor. He is probably a guy who is better to skip today.
