It's time for our second fantasy baseball waiver wire story of the week!

We won't cover anyone who appeared in Monday's waiver story, or who showed up on Tuesday's streaming article.

Should You Add Brandon Lowe?

Lowe is up 5.88% and sits at 90.91% overall now.

He has a hit in five straight games, and three of those knocks are home runs. Lowe has nine RBIs, five runs scored, two walks and six strikeouts over that span.

In 114 games and 468 plate appearances so far this season. Lowe has a .264 average and .318 on-base percentage. He has 28 home runs and 14 doubles among his 113 total hits, along with 72 RBIs, 70 runs scored, 34 walks, three stolen bases and 119 strikeouts.

Lowe strikes out too much, but his overall numbers aside from the Ks are pretty solid. He's a second baseman, which has been a tough position to find consistent fantasy help at this season.

He is owned in most leagues, but is still available for some of you. I think Lowe needs to be added in every league at this point. He's rolling at the plate right now, and should remain an above-average fantasy asset down the stretch.

Lowe plays nearly every day and hits in the heart of the team's lineup. Add him and utilize Lowe down the stretch.

Should You Add Yu Darvish?

Darvish has been added in 5.95% of leagues, bringing his overall mark up to 53.23%.

He'll make a start against the Orioles on Tuesday night. Darvish has not faced them this season across 10 appearances.

Darvish is 3-4 with a 5.66 earned run average across 47 2/3 innings pitched. He's allowed 30 runs on 38 hits and 15 walks, while striking out 42 batters.

He's been up and down of late in his starts. In August, Darvish allowed three or more runs on three occasions, but gave up just one run over six innings in his other two starts.

Darvish has alternated four- and six-inning outings over his past five starts - if the trend continues, he's set to work six innings tonight.

He had at least five strikeouts in four of those five starts, but also allowed at least one home run in each outing. He allowed four or less hits in each appearance.

The numbers are hard to decipher with Darvish, but as a veteran and well-known pitcher, most fantasy owners are comfortable starting him. Baltimore is a pretty solid streaming matchup, but with how Darvish has pitched this season, I'm not all-in on utilizing him tonight.

He could be streamed in deeper leagues or standard ones, but isn't a must-start pitcher in any format. I see a solid fantasy floor for him, but also a somewhat limited fantasy ceiling.

Should You Add Jeremiah Jackson?

Jackson is owned in 23% of leagues. He was sitting at 3% back on August 24, so it's been a steady climb for the youngster.

He had three hits on Monday and is on a 12-game hitting streak. Jackson has racked up 18 hits over that span, including three homers and four doubles.

Jackson has played in 27 games and gotten 101 plate appearances in his first MLB season. He has a .337 average and .356 OBP along the way, while also posting 15 RBIs, 14 runs scored, three walks and 25 strikeouts. Among his 33 total hits, Jackson has five doubles, two triples and three home runs.

He's been a surprisingly good bat for the Orioles over his time in the big leagues. Jackson should get a chance at regular playing time down the stretch after Baltimore sold at the trade deadline, so he's a pretty good fantasy asset.

Jackson has started in each of the team's past five games and hit in the No. 2 hole. There's obviously a ton of fantasy value to be had from that spot in the order.

I'm surprised he isn't rostered in more leagues already, because I'm close to saying he's a must-own guy in deeper leagues. Pick him up before he's scooped up, because he won't be available for much longer in those leagues.

Standard leaguers also need to keep an eye on Jackson. If he continues to produce at the plate through the end of the week, then he might be a waiver option in those leagues as well. Don't wait too long when it comes to adding Jackson.

Should You Add Blaze Alexander?

Alexander is back on the rise after falling to about 14% owned on August 28. He's at 21% as of the time of publication.

He has delivered a hit in five of his past six games played. Alexander has a triple, two homers and two doubles among the hits in that span.

Alexander has played in 52 games and logged 180 plate appearances so far this season. He has a .237 average and .331 OBP, along with 20 RBIs, 24 runs scored, 15 walks, three stolen bases and 58 strikeouts.

He also has started in each of his team's past five games. He's appeared at second and third base and played center field on Monday. In other words, the D-Backs are finding ways to get Alexander into the lineup.

It could also mean he's eligible to play at several positions, which is a big plus for his fantasy outlook. Alexander might not own the best stats right now, but if he's eligible at a position of need, he's at least a good depth option.

Look into Alexander a bit and see if he'd be a useful addition to your team for the stretch run.

Should You Add Nolan McLean?

McLean has been added in 4.54% of leagues and sits at 88.95% overall now.

He will be making a start against the Tigers tonight. McLean will be making his fourth appearance, and first outing against Detroit.

McLean has been stellar in his first three starts. He's 3-0 with a 0.89 ERA over 20 1/3 innings. He's allowed two runs on 10 hits and four walks, while striking out 21 batters.

McLean shutout the Mariners over 5 1/3 innings in his MLB debut on August 16. He allowed two hits and four walks in that one, while striking out eight.

He then gave up two runs on four hits against the Braves on August 22. He struck out seven and walked none over seven innings.

McLean tossed eight shutout innings against the Phillies in his last appearance on August 27. He gave up four hits, while striking out six and walking none.

McLean has really been great since getting called up to the big leagues. He's going to regress at some point, but there's no reason for him not to be owned in all leagues at this point. The only leagues where he shouldn't be owned are draft-and-hold leagues, meaning he went undrafted and there's no waiver pickups.

He's a must-start until he regresses a bit. Detroit is an OK streaming matchup, but I'm more wanting to start McLean tonight because of how he's looked so far.

If he continues to shine down the stretch, McLean could be a big-time fantasy asset going into 2026. For now, add him and utilize him as the fantasy postseason starts up.
