Another day, another fantasy baseball waiver wire story!

Let's check out a new batch of options, not including anyone from waiver stories on Monday or Tuesday, or who appeared in Wednesday's streaming article.

Should You Add Bryan Abreu or Bennett Sousa?

Abreu and Sousa are closer options in Houston after Josh Hader hit the injured list.

Abreu is up 4.42% and sits at 57.43% overall. Sousa is at 6.83% overall after a 2.41% increase.

Abreu seems like the most logical choice to earn saves in Houston after serving as the primary setup man to Hader most of the season. He's made 53 appearances and has covered 54 innings so far.

He is 3-3 with four blown saves and 25 holds. Abreu has a 1.67 earned run average, allowing 10 runs on 31 hits and 25 walks. He's struck out a whopping 79 batters already.

You can see by those numbers why Abreu was owned in a good amount of leagues already. That stellar ERA and strikeout work makes him a deep-league asset even if he isn't earning saves.

Sousa hasn't been as good this season, but has a few saves, so it's fair to see him on the rise. He's appeared in 41 games and covered 47 2/3 innings.

Sousa is 5-1 with four saves, one blown save and six holds. He has a 2.64 ERA, allowing 16 runs (14 earned) on 35 hits and 14 walks, while striking out 54 batters.

While Sousa isn't performing quite like Abreu, he's also been pretty solid this season. He doesn't get the high-leverage innings Abreu usually does.

I'd think that Abreu is the obvious choice for saves while Hader is out, but the Astros' manager didn't commit to any reliever. That makes this a situation to keep tabs on daily.

We'll cover the situation later this week in our fantasy closer check-ins. Abreu could be owned in most leagues by then if he picks up a save between now and then, so don't wait too long if you are interested in adding one of the Astros' relievers.

Should You Add Kyle Manzardo?

Manzardo is up 3.95% today, bringing his overall mark to 27.64%.

He is on a five-game hitting streak, with seven knocks over that span. Manzardo has three homers over his past two games, and has added a double among those seven hits. He's got five RBIs and runs scored, three walks and three strikeouts in that five-game span as well.

For the season, Manzardo has a .244 average and .323 on-base percentage over 101 games and 372 plate appearances. He has 80 total hits, including 21 homers, 14 doubles and two triples, while also posting 53 RBIs, 35 runs scored, a stolen base, 36 walks and 94 strikeouts.

Manzardo has great power numbers, but a lower average and OBP are keeping him out of more leagues. He's also not starting against left-handed pitchers, so his fantasy ceiling is capped a bit.

I still think he's a bit underowned in fantasy leagues. There's enough value in those season-long numbers to have him rostered in most deeper leagues.

He should be eligible at first base, which is a stacked fantasy position this season, so that's also hurting his own mark. He mostly is the team's designated hitter.

Manzardo is a better fantasy asset than a lot of owners realize. I'd be happy to roster and utilize him in most deeper leagues. That's where he'll top out most likely, but I don't know why you wouldn't capitalize on his production he's provided this season in those leagues.

Should You Add Giancarlo Stanton?

Stanton is up to 51% rostered now - he was at 48% a couple days ago.

Stanton has added some valuable hitting to the Yankees since he returned to the field in mid-June. He's on a four-game hitting streak, collecting eight knocks over that span. Stanton has two homers and a double among the hits, along with six RBIs, two runs scored and walks and three strikeouts.

Over 42 games and 157 plate appearances for the season, Stanton has a .300 average and .376 OBP. He has 12 homers and four doubles among his 42 hits, while also tallying 34 RBIs, 20 runs scored, 16 walks and 49 strikeouts.

You might be wondering how he isn't owned in all leagues with those numbers. Well, he's probably only eligible at designated hitter, so some can only play him in the utility spot. However, he's been playing the field of late so Aaron Judge can DH.

Stanton has got four games in right field so far. Depending on your league settings, Stanton might earn eligibility there soon, and then his own percentage should skyrocket.

Check your league settings and see how many games at a position it takes for a player to earn eligibility there. Add Stanton as he nears that mark and you have a starting outfielder for the remainder of the season.

Should You Add Gavin Williams?

Williams is way up to 80.72% after a 2.41% increase today.

He is a streaming option for Wednesday. Williams has a start scheduled against the Marlins. It will be his first start against them this season.

Williams has appeared in 23 games so far, covering 125 innings. He's 7-4 with a 3.17 ERA, allowing 49 runs (44 earned) on 96 hits and 66 walks. Williams has 123 strikeouts so far.

He has allowed three or less runs in six straight starts. Williams is 2-0 with a 1.63 ERA over 38 2/3 innings in that stretch. He's racked up 41 strikeouts over that span.

So Williams has been good this season, and of late, which is why his own percentage is over 80, and why he's a good option to stream today.

However, I do want to point out that he threw 126 pitches in his last outing, an 8 2/3-inning gem against the Mets. That start was on August 6, so maybe a full week of rest was enough for him. I point it out because he could be a bit limited today, and that could affect his fantasy ceiling.

He's pitched so well that I'd still be a fan of using him today. Miami isn't the best matchup out there, but Williams has pitched well against all teams, so you should be expecting at least average results from him tonight.

Definitely start him in all deeper leagues, and give him a long look in all standard leagues.

Should You Add Cade Horton?

Horton got added in 2.73% of leagues to bring his overall mark to 59.76%.

Horton will make a start against the Blue Jays today. It will be his first start against them this season.

He has made 15 appearances this season, and has started all but one of those games. Horton is 6-3 with a 3.18 ERA over 79 1/3 innings. He's allowed 33 runs (28 earned) on 72 hits and 25 walks, while striking out 59 batters.

Horton has not allowed a run over his past four starts, but has covered just 22 2/3 combined innings in that stretch. He's 3-0 and has given up just 10 hits and seven walks, while striking out 16.

Toronto is one of the best teams in the league, and they are not a favorable matchup to attack with a fantasy pitcher. Horton has pitched well enough to consider, and because the Blue Jays haven't seen him this season, the youngster could turn in good results tonight.

I wouldn't call him a must-start pitcher in deeper leagues, but he's close to being one because of the marks he's posted overall this season. He's also worth a standard league start for some people, but definitely shouldn't be starting in all those leagues.
