Monday's Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Targets: Jordan Beck, Ramon Laureano and More

Looking at a few waiver wire pitchers and hitters to consider adding in fantasy baseball leagues.

After checking out some possible fantasy baseball waiver wire targets based on weekly projections, let's now go over some more traditional waiver wire guys.

We won't include any starting pitchers who were part of Monday's streaming article.

Check out the top fantasy baseball waiver wire options everyday on FantasySP.

Should You Add Jordan Beck?

Beck is up 1.75% and sits at 33.2% overall now.

Beck has five hits across the first three days of July. He has two homers among the hits, along with six RBIs, four runs scored, three walks, a stolen base and three strikeouts.

For the season, Beck has a .279 average and .338 on-base percentage over 99 games and 400 plate appearances. He has 14 home runs, 19 doubles and five triples among his 102 total hits. Beck also has 42 RBIs, 50 runs scored, 30 walks, 12 stolen bases and 111 strikeouts.

I discussed Beck a couple days yesterday and noted that he's probably going to top out as a deep-league option. He can be worth streaming in standard leagues at times, and now is one of those times. Beck is a better keeper in deeper leagues though, and I'd still look elsewhere for long-term help in standard leagues.

His cold stretches are rough, and make him a drop candidate. So instead of streaming him in standard leagues, why not try adding someone else who is capable of sticking on your team for the long haul?

You can add Beck in deeper leagues and stream him in some standard leagues, but don't expect great production for the rest of the season.

Should You Add Warming Bernabel?

Bernabel is up another 4.09% and is rostered in 42.8% overall. Bernabel was a player I discussed on Saturday, but he's still on the rise.

Over his first eight games and 33 MLB plate appearances, Bernabel has a .438 average and .455 OBP - pretty easy to see why he's on the rise, huh? Bernabel has three homers, four doubles and a triple among his 14 total hits, along with eight RBIs, six runs scored, a walk and four strikeouts.

Bernabel has played first and third base in the big leagues, although he might also have shortstop eligibility too. That position versatility is massive for his fantasy outlook, and makes him worth adding in a lot of leagues already.

He's obviously going to cool off at some point, but this could be a player who excels down the stretch and helps fantasy teams to better results. I'm at least adding him in deeper leagues already.

If he has another big week, expect him to creep into standard leagues too. The 23-year-old also is improving his dynasty/keeper status, so he's really just a guy to add or watch in all leagues honestly. We'll see if this fun story keeps up.

Should You Add Ramon Laureano?

Laureano is rostered in 61% of leagues right now.

Laureano got a change of scenery last week when he was traded to the Padres. He has a triple and a homer among his three knocks with his new team across three games and 12 plate appearances. Laureano has two RBIs, three runs scored, no walks and two strikeouts with his new team.

He is up to a .288 average and .351 OBP across 85 total games and 302 plate appearances this season. Laureano had been underrated while on the Orioles, but the move to the Padres should see his own percentage rise. Laureano has 17 doubles, 16 homers and a triple among his 78 total hits, along with 48 RBIs and runs scored, 22 walks, four stolen bases and 74 strikeouts.

Laureano is a bit overlooked because he's an outfielder, which is a stacked fantasy position. He's part of a better lineup now, so his fantasy outlook has risen since the trade.

I'd say he deserves to be rostered in all deeper leagues at this point, while also being worth some standard league pickups. He'll likely never get close to 100% rostered, but standard league owners in need of an outfielder or hitter could benefit from adding Laureano.

Should You Add Lenyn Sosa?

Sosa was added in 3.34% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 35.6%.

He is riding a seven-game hitting streak, collecting 12 hits over that span. He has two homers among the hits, along with six RBIs and runs scored, three walks and just one strikeout in that span.

Sosa has played in 95 games and gotten 354 plate appearances this season. He has a .281 average and .309 OBP so far, along with 43 RBIs, 35 runs scored, 12 walks, two stolen bases and 76 strikeouts. Sosa has 16 doubles, a triple and 11 home runs among his 95 total knocks.

Sosa has played first, second and third base this season, so you should check in to see where he's eligible to play. The more spots he can play, the better his fantasy value is.

He's underrated and is worth an add in deeper leagues, especially if you need some infield help. He's likely never get to standard league ownership, but he's worth tracking in case he stays hot, or gets into a power groove.

Should You Add Colson Montgomery?

Montgomery is up 2.18% and sits at 42.91% overall now.

Montgomery continues to excel at the big league level. He has three hits, including two homers across three games this month. Montgomery has five RBIs, two runs scored, no walks and six strikeouts.

He has played in 25 games and gotten 93 plate appearances on the season so far. Montgomery has seven homers, two doubles and a triple among his 22 total hits, along with 23 RBIs, 11 runs scored, six walks and 25 strikeouts.

Montgomery could already have position eligibility at shortstop and third base, and again, that's a bonus for his overall fantasy value.

He was underrated last week, but is nearing the own percentage he deserves to be at. Montgomery will likely top out as a deep-league keeper, but he could be streamable in standard leagues for stretches, so everyone still needs to keep an eye on him.

Should You Add Brayan Bello?

Bello is a streaming pitcher option. He's up 3.5% and is rostered in 66.4% of leagues at this time.

He will pitch against the Royals in an evening contest tonight. Bello hasn't faced them yet this season.

Bello has made 18 starts over 19 appearances this season. He's 7-5 with a 3.19 earned run average, allowing 44 runs (39 earned) on 100 hits and 41 walks over 110 innings. Bello has 83 strikeouts to this point.

Bello has been good for most of the season, allowing more than three runs in a start just twice. Bello has nine straight starts with less than four runs allowed.

He went 3-2 with a 2.79 ERA over six July starts, so he's been trending up. Bello has at least four strikeouts in five straight appearances, and has covered at least 5 1/3 innings in five straight as well.

I like the way Bello has pitched this season, and think he's a bit undervalued because he doesn't have massive strikeout numbers. Basically, Bello has a solid fantasy floor, but a bit of a limited fantasy ceiling.

The matchup tonight is pretty solid, and I think Bello can deliver at least average fantasy totals in it. I'd be for streaming Bello in all deeper setups, and a fair amount of standard leagues too. He's one of my favorite streaming options for Monday.
