After looking at some fantasy baseball waiver wire hitters and pitchers to possibly add, let's look at some drop candidates.

Also be sure to check out Tuesday's streaming article.

More droppable player data can be located on the waiver wire trends most dropped tab, which can be found on any fantasy baseball page here at FantasySP.

Should You Drop Logan Henderson?

Henderson is rostered in 70% of leagues after being let go in 4.1% of leagues today.

He was demoted to Triple-A, so dropping him makes a lot of sense. Well, that is until you look at his season numbers.

Henderson has made four starts for the Brewers, going 3-0 with a 1.71 earned run average. He's allowed four runs on 14 hits and six walks over 21 innings. Henderson has 29 strikeouts already.

Henderson was demoted to bring a fresh arm back up to the big leagues. Milwaukee also has Brandon Woodruff and Jose Quintana returning from injuries soon, so Henderson was likely to lose his roster spot eventually anyways.

By sending Henderson down now, the Brewers can control his innings, and service time. He's going to be called up to start additional games this season, but for now, he'll get a little work in at Triple-A.

Him not being in the major leagues obviously takes away all his fantasy value. In redraft formats, he's a drop candidate. I'd definitely drop him in standard leagues (if he isn't immediately called back up for his next start).

I'd drop Henderson in a lot of deeper redraft leagues as well. Only in the deepest of redraft leagues would I continue to roster a player not in the big leagues. Henderson is one of the few instances where I'd not immediately drop a player who was demoted.

Henderson's fantasy value has grown substantially since making his MLB debut, and he'll be a great streaming option and waiver pickup for whenever he makes his next big league start. He's most valuable in dynasty/keeper leagues as a 23-year-old.

Henderson will get another crack at the big leagues later this season, but for now, you'll need to look elsewhere for fantasy help.

Should You Drop Jorge Polanco?

Polanco is rostered in 69% of leagues after being dropped in 2.8% of leagues. He was owned in just under 95% of leagues as recently as May 18.

After a great finish to April, Polanco's production has fallen off in May. In 19 games and 64 plate appearances, he's got just a .155 average and .234 on-base percentage.

For the season, Polanco has a .282 average and .336 OBP, so you can see how hot he was at the plate before this month. He has 10 homers and six doubles among his 37 total knocks, along with 30 RBIs, a stolen base, 18 runs scored, nine walks and 22 strikeouts.

Polanco hasn't started either of the team's past two games. Left-handed pitchers started against Seattle in those contests. Frankly, platoon players shouldn't be owned in standard leagues, and with Polanco's struggles at the plate this month, it's past time to drop him.

Polanco should be let go in standard redraft leagues. I'd keep rostering him in deeper redraft leagues for now. He'll likely heat back up eventually, then be a standard league threat again, but for now, you should be looking elsewhere for help.

He probably should be benched in deeper redraft leagues for the time being as well. And obviously, you shouldn't be starting him against left-handed pitchers.

Should You Drop Jack Leiter?

Leiter is rostered in 47% of leagues. He's down 3.2% today and has seen his value drop from 73% a month ago.

He has made eight starts this season and has pretty average results. Leiter is 3-2 with a 4.17 ERA over 41 innings. He's allowed 19 runs on 30 hits and 21 walks, while striking out 30 batters.

While his season-long numbers look pretty average, he's been pretty solid of late. Leiter started the month by allowing 10 runs over 9 2/3 innings in two starts, but has surrendered just six runs over his past three starts.

Leiter has a 1-0 record and 3.00 ERA over his past three starts. He's allowed six runs on 11 hits and 10 walks, while striking out 12 over 18 innings.

Even in those more positive results, Leiter leaves plenty to be desired as a fantasy asset. He's walking too many batters, while not striking out enough. It is nice to see him eating some innings, and limiting runs, of course.

He's looking like a better deep-league keeper and standard league streaming option. Leiter has upcoming probable starts against the Cardinals and Rays.

I'd be willing to start Leiter in deeper leagues for both of those outings. I'd also consider streaming him in standard leagues for both of those starts, mostly because of his good numbers over his past three starts.

Leiter will probably stick in this kind of status for the remainder of the season. As a young, highly-regarded player though, Leiter is worth keeping tabs on.

Should You Drop Will Warren?

Warren is owned in 65% of leagues after being dropped in 3% of leagues today.

He made a start a couple days ago against the Rockies, which is a very favorable matchup. Warren allowed two runs on two hits and two walks over four innings, but did record seven strikeouts. He threw just 57 pitches before needing to be removed after a rain delay.

Warren has made 11 starts this season. He sits with a 3-2 record and 4.09 ERA over 50 2/3 innings. Warren has allowed 25 runs (23 earned) on 44 hits and 20 walks - he's struck out 67 batters.

He's been pretty good in May. Across five starts, Warren has a 2-1 record and 2.70 ERA over 26 2/3 innings. He's allowed 10 runs (eight earned) on 22 hits and eight walks, while striking out 41 batters.

Warren has been surging up, and he'd probably still be on the rise if his last start wasn't halted by rain. I wonder if some of the fantasy owners dropping him don't know he was pulled because of a rain delay in his last start.

His next start is against the Dodgers most likely, so that's another possible reason he's being dropped now. Instead of dropping him in deeper redraft leagues, I'd just bench him for that start. I wouldn't want to start him in any leagues really, but in the deepest leagues out there, you might have too.

Things lighten up after that in a probable start against Boston. Warren hasn't faced them this season, but it's a good enough matchup to utilize Warren in a lot of fantasy leagues.

So again, instead of dropping Warren, I'd be more inclined to bench him for his least favorable matchups, then utilize him in average-or-better matchups all season.

Should You Drop Walker Buehler?

Speaking of the Red Sox, Buehler is down 2.5% and sits at 70% overall.

He started on May 25 against the Orioles. He took the loss, but only allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings. Buehler needed 85 pitches to get through the outing, and struck out three along the way.

Buehler has made eight starts on the season. He's 4-2 with a 3.95 ERA over 41 frames. Buehler has allowed 18 runs on 36 hits and 13 walks, while striking out 36 batters.

There's some solid numbers in there for sure. He's not pitching like he did with the Dodgers in 2018-2021, but Buehler is doing enough to be rostered in a lot of leagues.

I think Buehler deserves to be rostered in all deeper redraft leagues, and that should remain true all season. He's pitched well enough to be owned in some standard redraft leagues, but not well enough to own and keep in those setups.

His next two starts might be against the Braves and Yankees. Both are talented lineups, but I'd be fine starting Buehler against the Braves - I'd sit him against the Yankees outside deep fantasy setups.

Buehler's own percentage is likely to hover between 60-80% most of the season. In stretches where he has favorable matchups, he'll be toward, or above, 80%, while he sits between 60-70% in times where the matchups aren't the best.

Keep a close eye on his probable starts and roster and utilize Buehler when it makes most sense to.
