Raleigh reclaiming power stroke after return from injury

Cal Raleigh has stabilized since returning from an oblique strain that sidelined him for a month, hitting .200 with a home run over his last week of action. He recently moved into seventh on the franchise's all-time home run list, and he continues to serve as the primary backstop for the first-place Mariners. While Seattle is currently on a two-game slide with a 41-41 record, Raleigh remains a fixture in the heart of the order.

His 2026 season stats are currently suppressed by a career-worst hitless streak and his recent IL stint, but our models expect a heavy course correction. While he is currently hitting just .168 on the year, our projection anticipates a rebound toward 30 home runs and 105 RBIs. His .360 on-base percentage over the last seven days suggests his plate discipline is intact, and his massive 65-homer campaign in 2025 serves as a reminder of his elite ceiling.

The upcoming schedule features three remaining road games against the Guardians. Raleigh will match up against Joey Cantillo (4.28 ERA), Slade Cecconi (4.61 ERA), and Gavin Williams. Facing two pitchers with ERAs over 4.20 in hitter-friendly conditions makes this a favorable stretch for the Mariners' slugger.
