Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 9: Keenan Allen, Wan'Dale Robinson, Deebo Samuel and More
Morgan gives his week 9 fantasy football rankings for wide receivers.
Last but not least, I have week 9 fantasy football wide receiver PPR rankings for you!
We already went over quarterbacks, running backs and tight ends, so be sure to check those out as well.
Check out week 9 fantasy football projections for wide receivers on FantasySP as well.
1. Puka Nacua
I expect Nacua back on the field in week 9, and I'm taking him in my top spot again, where he was before getting banged up a couple weeks back.
A tougher matchup on paper against the Saints awaits, but I believe in Nacua and the Rams' offense to do plenty of damage through the air.
Smith-Njigba has been one of the top fantasy wideouts all season, so I'm going to keep ranking him high, even in tougher matchups.
He has a pretty favorable matchup against the Commanders coming, so I expect big numbers from JSN again.
St. Brown is a steady fantasy contributor, and powers the Lions' passing game.
He gets the Vikings this week. Minnesota is a tougher test, but I rarely bet against ARSB and believe in him this week.
4. Rashee Rice
Rice has been great in his first two games, cementing himself as the top pass catcher for Kansas City.
A below-average matchup against the Bills might have some down on him, but he's still capable of monster fantasy numbers, so he gets a top-five spot for me.
5. CeeDee Lamb
Lamb has a similar matchup to Rice, but against the Cardinals.
After a down showing in week 8, I expect the Cowboys' offense to bounce back this week, which will help Lamb to a big-time fantasy showing.
Jefferson ranking sixth looks weird, especially when thinking about past years. His team's QB play is holding him back.
In a pretty favorable matchup against the Lions, I see Jefferson having one of his better showings yet.
Chase has a slightly above-average test against the Bears, and is trending up since Joe Flacco arrived.
Unfortunately, it looks like Flacco is going to miss week 9, so I'm down on Chase as a result. If Flacco ends up starting, I'd have Chase jump to the No. 3 spot, ahead of St. Brown.
8. Drake London
London missed last week, so his status will be one to watch before week 9.
He gets the Patriots if he can suit up. New England is a below-average matchup, but if London plays, you need to trust him to get the job done, and that's why he's a top-10 option for me.
Pittman has delivered in a big way in back-to-back weeks, and there's a chance he makes it three straight big weeks.
He has the Steelers this week, and they struggle to slow opposing fantasy wideouts, so Pittman could shine again.
10. Rome Odunze
Odunze got back on track last week, so I'm back on board with him as a top-10 option.
The test against the Bengals is just below average, but I'm not worried about him delivering for fantasy owners in week 9.
11. Davante Adams
Here's my second Rams' wideout already - it's just hard to not like Nacua and Adams in any matchup.
The Saints don't scare me, and Adams could do more with Nacua coming back from injury, so this ranking might even be too low.
12. Nico Collins
I expect Collins to return to the field in week 9. His first matchup back is the Broncos, who are a brutal matchup.
Denver will be without Pat Surtain though, so things won't be as tough on Collins. Fire him up confidently, as long as he's cleared to go.
13. Zay Flowers
Flowers gets the Dolphins on Thursday night.
Miami is actually right there with Denver for the worst defense in slowing opposing fantasy wideouts, but with Lamar Jackson likely back, I see the passing game thriving, and Flowers delivering for his fantasy owners.
If Jackson doesn't start, I'd drop Flowers into the 20s.
14. Jaylen Waddle
Waddle is also part of that Thursday matchup, but he has a good matchup.
Baltimore is among the worst defenses when it comes to slowing wideouts, and I see the Dolphins' No. 1 wideout shining in this one.
15. Ladd McConkey
McConkey is back as the Chargers' No. 1 receiver, and I trust him plenty despite several other pass catchers being involved.
I expect McConkey to get his in a favorable matchup against the Titans, even if he leaves early with his team up big.
16. Chris Olave
Olave is the go-to guy in the Saints' offense, but a QB switch has me a bit skeptical on the wideout's outlook.
A matchup with the Rams is slightly above average, so I believe in Olave enough to rank him 16th.
17. George Pickens
Here's my second Cowboys' wideout. Again, I see the offense bouncing back in week 9.
If Pickens finds the end zone, he could finish a lot higher than this, so he's still a good starting option in most fantasy setups.
18. DK Metcalf
Metcalf has kind of quietly been really good in three of the past four weeks.
He has a chance to deliver again in week 9 against the Colts, who are a very favorable fantasy matchup for a wideout.
19. Brian Thomas
Thomas is injured coming into the week, so his status will be one to watch.
He's got a great matchup against the Raiders, so he has a chance to really deliver for fantasy owners.
20. Marvin Harrison
This could end up looking foolish ranking Harrison here. Why? He has the easiest fantasy matchup against the Cowboys.
I'm down on Harrison because of his overall fantasy production, and with Kyler Murray coming off an injury, or Jacoby Brissett throwing to him. We'll see if Harrison can come through in the stellar matchup.
21. Keenan Allen
Allen is who I like the second most among the LA pass catchers right now.
The favorable test against the Titans means he and McConkey could both deliver good fantasy results, but I'd still feel best with Allen as a flex guy.
Robinson is one of the few remaining offensive playmakers for the Giants.
A slightly above-average test against the Niners is a chance for him to put up a good amount of fantasy points, so don't sleep on Robinson.
23. Jordan Addison
Most will see this ranking for Addison as too low, but again, I don't love the quarterback throwing to him, so he gets docked.
He and Jefferson could both put up good numbers again, especially in a favorable matchup.
24. Courtland Sutton
I think Sutton is underrated in fantasy leagues, but a tough matchup warrants a lower ranking for week 9.
The Texans are who he will face, and they are a bottom-five matchup. We'll see if Sutton can outperform expectations.
25. Deebo Samuel Sr.
I like Terry McLaurin most, but with him out, I'd take Samuel here instead.
He has an average matchup against the Seahawks coming, and he should power the Washington passing game.
McMillan is the top wideout for the Panthers, but he's in another situation where a quarterback is holding him back.
He's got an above-average matchup coming against the Packers, so McMillan could still come through despite not-so-great QB play.
27. Stefon Diggs
Diggs has been up and down as a fantasy performer, but this is a lower ranking because of a tough matchup.
He has the Falcons in week 9, who have mostly been stout against fantasy wideouts. We'lll see which Diggs we get this week.
28. Khalil Shakir
Shakir was great last week in a tougher matchup, so I'm giving him another nod in a similar situation this week.
The Chiefs are a tough test, but I'm throwing him in a flex spot in hopes of him connecting with Josh Allen several times.
29. Travis Hunter
I believe this is the first time Hunter has been in my top 30. He deserves it after his last game, and with Thomas banged up.
Let's see if Hunter can deliver again in a great fantasy matchup.
30. Xavier Worthy
For similar reasons to Shakir, I wanted to throw Worthy at the end of my top-30 rankings.
The Bills are a tougher matchup, but really are not far off from being an average test. The Chiefs' offense can prop several guys into good fantasy outlooks, and I'd be willing to take a chance on Worthy in week 9.
