Looking for pitching help? These five arms could provide value on the mound today and beyond.

Let's start Wednesday off by going over some fantasy baseball waiver wire pitching options!

Check back later for a waiver wire article on hitters.

Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!

Brady Singer - Cincinnati Reds

Singer is up 3.06% already today, and is now rostered in 30.13% of fantasy baseball leagues overall.

He will get a start against the Mariners today. That's a pretty solid matchup on paper, and one to maybe try Singer in.

Over 19 starts this season, Singer is 4-9 with a 4.56 earned run average. He has struck out 82 batters over 96 2/3 innings. He's been pretty good of late, allowing two or fewer earned runs in three straight outings - he lasted at least seven innings in two straight starts too.

Coming off some good showings and going into a decent matchup, Singer is a better option for today than he might first appear. I like him a lot in deeper leagues, but would need to see all your standard league options before saying he's worth starting in those leagues. He's worth considering in standard leagues, at the very least.

Christian Scott - New York Mets

Scott has risen 1.75% so far and sits at 39.74% overall as he prepares for a start on Wednesday.

He gets the nod against the Brewers in an afternoon tilt. Milwaukee isn't a team to target all that often, but I said the same yesterday for Zac Thornton's start, and he helped shut out the Brewers, so maybe Scott can deliver too.

Over 13 starts this year, Scott is 3-1 with a strong 2.87 ERA over 59 2/3 innings. He's struck out 72 batters along the way. He's pitched well most of this season, and especially of late, with back-to-back shutout efforts over 10 2/3 combined innings.

So despite a not-so-great matchup, I like the idea of streaming Scott today in some fantasy leagues. He's a good deep-league asset, and he's considerable in standard leagues as well. The only thing that gives me a little pause is his lack of deep starts, but a shutout effort over five innings with several strikeouts could still help him deliver a capable fantasy score of streaming.

Jordan Romano - Colorado Rockies

Romano is owned in roughly 7% of leagues right now. He is rising of late after joining the Rockies.

He made his debut for Colorado on July 4, and has made six appearances since. Romano has allowed just one run over 5 2/3 innings, while striking out eight along the way. He has three saves and a hold over those outings, and picked up the save on Tuesday.

Romano struggled with the Angels earlier this season, but has had a little more success with the Rockies so far. That's why he's on the rise as a fantasy asset.

He is worth scooping up in some deeper fantasy leagues, especially ones where fantasy owners are lacking fantasy relief options. Keep close tabs on him in case his numbers drop off fast, but also keep tabs on him in case he keeps trending up. He's likely never going to be a standard league asset again this season, but crazier things have happened.

Keider Montero - Detroit Tigers

Montero is up 2.19% today, which brings his overall mark to 33.19%.

He will make a start against the Cubs this evening. Chicago is usually not a team to target, but Montero has pitched pretty well this season, so he's a streaming option for the day.

Over 15 starts and 21 total appearances, Montero is 6-5 with a 3.22 ERA. He's covered 100 2/3 innings so far, striking out 70 along the way. Montero has allowed just three runs in the month of July over five appearances, but that's covered just 13 innings.

So while Montero has some deep-league streaming appeal today, his likelihood of a shorter start should hold him back from too many standard league starts. Throw in a lackluster matchup and I'd only consider Montero in deeper leagues today.

Tanner Scott - Los Angeles Dodgers

Scott is rostered in about 76% of leagues right now. That's up from 73% a few days ago.

He earned a five-out save on Tuesday, and appears to be the team's clear No. 1 option for saves as Edwin Diaz continues to miss time. Scott has four saves over eight appearances this month, and all three runs he allowed came in one appearance.

In 43 appearances this season, Scott is 1-3 with a 2.40 ERA over 41 1/3 innings. He has 53 strikeouts along the way, plus 15 saves, six holds and two blown saves.

Scott is the best fantasy reliever for the Dodgers until Diaz is back. I get why he's not owned in more leagues, but if Scott is available in your league, I'd consider scooping him up today. Keep rolling with Scott until Diaz is back in the mix.
