Is Your Fantasy Baseball Rotation Hurting? These 5 Streaming Pitchers Could Help You Tuesday
Five starting pitchers with good matchups on Tuesday who are widely available in fantasy leagues.
Now that the men's college basketball tournament has ended, baseball has one fewer “enemy” with which to fight for viewers. The NBA is in their final week and about to reach the playoffs, but the disdain that fans have for the league currently is well documented.
MLB gets a stretch in the summer where they are really the only game in town, so to speak, but they are getting even more of an upgrade based on another sport faltering. No matter the reasons, baseball is on an upswing; it's good to see America's pastime getting it's rightful place in the sports world.
Moving to fantasy baseball, let's look at five starting pitchers in action on Tuesday who have good matchups and are widely available in fantasy leagues. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable pitchers. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Mike Burrows, Houston Astros @ Colorado Rockies
We usually don't look to target the Rockies when they play at Coors Field, but we are doing it today for two reasons. First, we don't have a lot of other great options, so this helps make up the numbers. Second, and most importantly, Colorado has been bad at home also, scoring just six total runs in three games while hosting Philadelphia over the weekend. This is a primetime target. (They did score nine runs against the Astros yesterday, but games like that will happen.)
Burrows was a rookie last season and did well in 96 innings, allowing 87 hits with both a walk rate and strikeout rate better than average and an ERA under 4.00. He hasn't been as good in two starts this year, throwing 10 2/3 innings with 14 hits, seven runs, five walks, and 12 strikeouts. That K number is good, but he has otherwise been uneven in the super-small sample.
Burrows is a mid-level streamer. He showed that he can find success, and even when struggling this year, he is still striking guys out. The matchup couldn't be much better, Coors Field or not.
Noah Cameron, Kansas City Royals @ Cleveland Guardians
Cameron is another guy who had a good rookie season in 2025, throwing 138 1/3 innings with just 109 hits allowed and an ERA under 3.00. His walk rate was a little better than average and his strikeout rate just a hair worse than average, but Cameron did good K work in the minors, so that number could improve. His first start this year was a good one, with just one run and one walk allowed in five innings to go with five strikeouts.
Cleveland is a bottom-10 offensive team so far after falling into the same category last season. Kansas City's Michael Wacha was listed here yesterday against the Guardians and gave up just three hits and one run in seven innings; Cleveland only scored two runs in the game. Why not go back to the well again today?
Cameron is a mid-level streamer. His success in his short career combined with the weaker offense he is facing could lead to a very good game here.
Cade Cavalli, Washington Nationals vs. St. Louis Cardinals
St. Louis has been very middling offensively so far, and combined with fringe bottom-10 numbers last season and low expectations entering 2026, that's enough to make them a decent target this early in the season. Zack Littell, Washington's starter yesterday, was listed here and had a good performance, giving up just one run in five innings with six strikeouts.
Cavalli has 62 2/3 career innings to his name and has been good with walks but also below average with strikeouts. He has been hit around a little at times but has limited home runs well. Cavalli's two starts this year included one good game (six innings with one run allowed against the Phillies) and one rougher game (3 2/3 innings and three runs allowed against the Cubs).
Cavalli is a low-level streamer. He is fine when the matchup is right, but the lack of strikeouts and short track record mean you can probably skip him this time around.
Reynaldo Lopez, Atlanta Braves @ Los Angeles Angels
Lopez has been very average in his career, sitting near that mark in strikeout rate, walk rate, and ERA. He has looked good this year in two starts, combining for 11 innings, seven hits, two runs (both on solo home runs), three walks, and six strikeouts. That K number is low, but it's a terribly small sample, and Lopez has otherwise found plenty of success.
The Angels were bad when they had prime Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani in the lineup at the same time several years ago, and they haven't fixed the issue in the time since. LA tops out as middling in any offensive area and is worse in most cases. Importantly for our purposes, the Angels are near the top in batter strikeouts, setting a higher floor and ceiling for opposing pitchers.
Lopez is a mid-level streamer here. It's tempting to bump him up another level, but after missing virtually the entire 2025 season, it's worth being a little conservative with a guy who is on the wrong side of 30.
Shane Smith, Chicago White Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles
Smith completes the set of 2025 rookies who had good seasons, as he gave up just 117 hits in 146 1/3 innings. His walk rate was just a little high, but he also had an above-average strikeout rate and did well limiting home runs. Eight unearned runs helped keep his ERA below 4.00, and his start to 2026 has been horrendous: 4 2/3 innings, 11 hits, 12 runs (10 earned), four walks, and three strikeouts in two losses. The “small sample” disclaimer again rears its ugly head…
Baltimore has mostly picked up where they left off last season, playing below average on offense and holding a losing record because of it. It's easy to keep expecting improvement given some of the names in their lineup, but the Orioles are also dealing injuries; I want to see them succeed for an extended stretch before I believe in them.
Smith is a low-level streamer. Last season was real, but it's impossible to ignore Smith's struggles so far. There's no need to use your innings on a guy putting up those numbers so early in the season.
