It's time for our third fantasy baseball waiver wire article of the week!

We won't include any pitchers who are part of the day's streaming article, or any waiver options from Monday or Tuesday

Should You Add Trent Grisham?

Grisham is now owned in 64% of leagues - that's up from 58% on the last day of August.

He hit a grand slam among his two hits on Tuesday. He scored two runs and struck out once in that contest.

Grisham has played in 121 games and logged 486 plate appearances on the season. He has a .248 average and .356 on-base percentage, to go along with 61 RBIs, 73 runs scored, three stolen bases, 67 walks and 105 strikeouts. Grisham has 103 total hits, and that includes 29 home runs, nine doubles and one triple.

Grisham moved down to the No. 5 batting slot on Tuesday - he has been hitting leadoff of late. While the No. 1 slot in the order means more plate appearances, the No. 5 slot gives him a better chance to drive in runs (with the grand slam being a perfect example).

Either spot is a good one for his fantasy outlook though, and that's part of the reason why he's on the rise today. One thing holding him back is that he's not usually starting against left-handed pitchers. Hitting first or fifth in a stacked Yankees' lineup still makes him an above-average fantasy option though, and that's why he's in as many leagues as he is right now.

He should be rostered in all deeper leagues at this point. Grisham would probably have an even higher own percentage if he wasn't at a stacked outfielder spot.

But because he's not making starts against lefties, and has a weaker average and big strikeout numbers, Grisham isn't going to get into all standard leagues. He could be streamed down the stretch during hot stretches, but there's probably better permanent options available to pick up.

Should You Add Will Vest?

Vest is also up 3.6% and is owned in 69.03% of leagues overall.

He earned his 20th save on August 29. Vest took a blown save before that, but earned a save on August 23 as well.

Overall, the reliever has a 6-3 record, 20 saves, six blown saves and two holds. Vest has a 2.76 earned run average over 58 2/3 innings pitched, allowing 20 runs (18 earned) on 46 hits and 19 walks. Vest has 64 strikeouts on the season.

There's some really good numbers in his season-long stats, and he should remain a solid fantasy asset down the stretch of the season. He appears to have a grasp of the closer role, but with Kyle Finnegan still looming, that's why Vest's own percentage isn't any higher.

So if you are in need of a fantasy reliever down the stretch, I like the idea of adding Vest. He's on a team that should win plenty, which presents him with chances to earn wins and saves. Adding in some strikeouts and a low ERA and you have a good fantasy reliever to take advantage of.

Should You Add Jo Adell?

He's rostered in 55% of leagues now. Adell is up about 1.5% so far today.

Adell has racked up six hits over his past three games. He's hit a homer in back-to-back games, and also has doubled during this short stretch. Adell has four RBIs, two runs scored, no walks and just one strikeout over the past three games.

He has a .250 average and .300 OBP over 131 games and 492 plate appearances this season. Adell has 32 home runs, 17 doubles and one triple among his 108 total hits. He also has 86 RBIs, 53 runs scored, four stolen bases, 29 walks and 127 strikeouts.

There's good and bad in Adell's numbers. His average is lower, but his OBP is the mark that leaves a lot to be desired. Adell makes up for those marks with good pop and RBI totals. His runs scored mark and walks are also low for how much he's played.

Anyways, he's at a stacked fantasy outfield spot as well, so his own percentage is lower than it should be. Him being on the Angels (instead of a team like the Yankees) is also holding him back some.

Adell has hit fourth or fifth in five straight games for Los Angeles though, and those are great spots for fantasy production. He's been a waiver wire option several times this fantasy season, and when he's in these stretches, he's streamable in all league types.

He's a better keeper in deeper leagues, and should be rostered in all those leagues right now. For those chasing fantasy glory, he's worth streaming in any league until this hot stretch at the plate cools off.

Should You Add Jack Leiter?

Leiter has been added in 1.92% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 62.03%.

He will make a start against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday afternoon. Leiter faced them back on August 12, working five innings and allowing a run on four hits and two walks, while striking out three.

This is usually not a matchup I like to test, but Leiter looked pretty good in the last appearance against them. Leiter has been pretty good over the past couple months now too.

The last time he allowed over three runs in a start was in mid-June. In the 12 starts since, he's 5-3 with a 3.13 ERA over 60 1/3 innings. He's allowed 22 runs (21 earned) on 51 hits and 29 walks, while striking out 69 batters.

You can see by his 12 starts and 60 1/3 innings over that span that Leiter doesn't pitch super deep into games. If he's limiting runs and striking plenty of guys out though, there's fantasy value to take advantage of.

I'm surprised he isn't owned in more leagues already. He's an above-average option for today, and has a solid fantasy floor and pretty good fantasy ceiling. Add him if you are looking for a streaming pitcher for the day, and maybe just keep him the rest of the season - at least consider it until he regresses a bit.

Should You Add Jake Cronenworth?

Cronenworth is now rostered in 34% of fantasy leagues - he was at 26% on August 28.

He doesn't have a hit over his past two games, but he has walked twice and scored a run. Cronenworth has a .479 OBP dating back to August 20, which span 13 games and 49 plate appearances.

He has a .294 average over that span, collecting three doubles and a home run among his 10 knocks. Cronenworth also has six RBIs, seven runs scored, 11 walks and 11 strikeouts in that stretch.

Cronenworth has played in 113 games and gotten 435 plate appearances this season. He sits with a .247 average and .372 OBP, along with 49 RBIs, 51 runs scored, two stolen bases, 59 walks and 90 strikeouts.

There's some OK numbers in there, but his OBP is really the one that stands out. In leagues where walks are rewarded like hits, then Cronenworth has some sneaky good fantasy value.

He's likely eligible at first and second base, which is another plus for his fantasy value. Cronenworth hits in the bottom half of the team's order, but in a stacked lineup, it's not quite as bad as it would be for most hitters.

I think Cronenworth is worth more than his own percentage states. He's not a must-add guy in deeper leagues, but he's probably a better option than you think. If he starts racking up hits at the plate, then you can expect that own mark to rise, but don't overlook him, because those walks and that OBP are really, really good.
