As May winds down, let's take a look at the top-performing prospects in the minor leagues.

We'll focus on players age 25 or below. Let's take a look at hitters first - check back later today for a pitcher check-in.

Explore the best in-season tool to manage lineup/start decisions including waiver pickups, projections, trade suggestions, trade value charts, rest of season rankings, power rankings, and tons more with Fantasy Assistant.

Most Hits

Philadelphia's Otto Kemp, Chicago Cubs' Jonathon Long and Kansas City's Jac Caglianone have 61 hits each.

Kemp is the Phillies' No. 24 prospect. He has a .319 average and .425 on-base percentage across 49 games this season in Triple-A. Kemp has 16 doubles, a triple and 12 homers among his hits, along with 44 RBIs, 42 runs scored, 21 walks, 10 stolen bases and 62 strikeouts.

Kemp is expected to debut at some point this MLB season. He's 25 years old and primarily plays second and third base. A change of scenery might be his best chance at fantasy relevance in 2025 though.

Long is the 13th-ranked Cubs' prospect.  He's got a .349 average and .416 OBP across 48 Triple-A games. Long has 10 doubles, two triples and six homers among his hits. He also has 37 RBIs, 30 runs scored, two stolen bases, 20 walks and 50 strikeouts.

The corner infielder and outfielder has a 2026 ETA, but I think there's a good chance he debuts in 2025. He might need a change of scenery to crack the big leagues though, so he'll be a name to keep tabs on near the trade deadline.

Caglianone is the No. 10 prospect in all of baseball, so to see him excelling like this is great for his long-term outlook. He has a .326 average and .387 OBP across 46 combined games at Double-A and Triple-A. Caglianone has posted 14 homers and nine doubles among his hits, along with 53 RBIs, 37 runs scored, two stolen bases, 20 walks and 44 strikeouts.

Despite being drafted last season, Caglianone is expected to debut this season. He has just eight games played at Triple-A, but has continued to mash there. I really think it's just a matter of time before Caglianone is in the big leagues, so he's a player to track.

Philadelphia's Justin Crawford and Boston's Franklin Arias have 60 hits each.

Crawford is the No. 56 prospect in all of baseball. He has a .328 average and .395 OBP across 44 Triple-A games so far. Crawford has 11 doubles, three triples and a homer among his hits, along with 18 RBIs, 35 runs scored, 16 stolen bases, 21 walks and 40 strikeouts.

He has a 2026 MLB ETA, but I think he's got a great chance at debuting this season. A change of scenery is his best chance toward fantasy relevance this season, so he's a name to keep tabs on.

Arias is ranked 57th among the top-100 prospects. He has a .349 average and .401 OBP across 41 games at Single-A and High-A. Arias has 11 doubles, a triple and two homers among his hits, along with 26 RBIs, 27 runs scored, seven stolen bases, 13 walks and 21 strikeouts.

The middle infielder has a 2027 ETA, which is really early considering he's just 19 years old. Arias could move quickly through the minor league ranks, especially if he keeps delivering at each level.

New York Mets' A.J. Ewing has 58 total hits. He's ranked 27th among Mets' prospects.

He's got a .365 average and .458 OBP across 42 games at Single-A and High-A so far. Ewing has eight doubles, six triples and two home runs among his hits. He also has 31 RBIs, 34 stolen bases, 35 runs scored and 28 walks and strikeouts to his name.

Ewing is 20 years old and has a 2028 ETA. He's not super highly regarded, but that could change if he keeps producing at the plate. A change of scenery is likely going to be his best chance to reach the big leagues sooner than 2028 though, so he's a name to keep in mind in case he gets dealt at the trade deadline.

Most Home Runs

Caglianone is tied with Pittsburgh's Esmerlyn Valdez and Colorado's Ryan Ritter with 14 home runs this season - again, that's among prospects age 25 or younger.

Valdez is not a top-30 prospect for the Pirates, but that is likely to change in the next prospect update. He has a .289 average and .366 OBP across 45 games at High-A this season. Valdez also has 36 RBIs, 30 runs scored, 19 strikeouts and 51 punchouts.

He has played first base and left and right field this season, and of course, there's a chance a slugger like Valdez gets to the major leagues just to be the team's designated hitter. Valdez is maybe worth stashing in some really deep dynasty leagues, and he's a name to track in case he's able to keep his season numbers up.

Ritter is ranked 12th in the Rockies' system. He's got a .292 average and .405 OBP across 47 games at Triple-A this season. Ritter has 42 total hits, including 12 doubles and two triples (and 14 homers). He also has 36 RBIs, 42 runs scored, three stolen bases, 31 walks and 47 strikeouts.

He's not a super highly-regarded prospect, but in an organization lacking MLB talent, it's only a matter of time before Ritter is called up. His MLB ETA is 2025, and the 24-year-old shortstop could get called up at any point, so he's a name to keep tabs on.

Kemp and Milwaukee's Brock Wilken have 12 home runs each.

Wilken is the 17th-ranked Brewers' prospect. He has a .219 average, but a .399 OBP this season across 46 games at Double-A. Wilken has eight doubles and the 12 homers among his 34 total hits. He also has racked up 27 RBIs, 29 runs scored, a stolen base, 44 walks and 53 strikeouts.

The third baseman has a 2026 ETA, and I think there's an outside chance he gets to the big leagues this year. Wilken has a few things to clean up, but a patient eye and big power numbers might be enough to get him to the MLB this season.

Most Stolen Bases

Cleveland's Tommy Hawke has a whopping 45 stolen bases already.

He is not a top-30 prospect for Cleveland, but that kind of game-breaking speed can definitely reach the big leagues eventually. Hawke has a .303 average and .447 OBP this season across 43 games at Single-A. He has six doubles, two triples and no homers among his 43 total hits, while also having 13 RBIs, 43 runs scored, 35 walks and 37 strikeouts.

Hawke has played second base and all three outfield positions, so it looks like the Guardians are finding different spots for him in case his stellar play keeps up. He's nearly 23 years old, and he should get promoted here soon. Hawke is a name to keep an eye on.

Kansas City's Asbel Gonzalez has 40 stolen bases this season.

Gonzalez is the No. 23 prospect for Kansas City. He's got a .303 average and .419 OBP across 44 games at Single-A this season. Gonzalez has 50 total hits (three doubles, two triples, one homer), 10 RBIs, 41 runs scored, 20 walks and 28 strikeouts.

He has a 2028 ETA, which really is pretty early for a 19-year-old prospect. Gonzalez plays the outfield and could be a quick riser through the minor leagues if he keeps producing. He should improve his standing among the team's prospects in the next minor league update, so he's a name to keep tabs on going forward.
