Wednesday Fantasy Baseball Pitching Streamers: Twins/Orioles Doubleheader Presents Good Matchups
Six starting pitchers in action on Wednesday who have good matchups and are widely available in fantasy leagues.
It's time to look at six starting pitchers in action on Wednesday who have good matchups and are widely available in fantasy leagues.
Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Colton Gordon, Houston Astros vs. Kansas City Royals
Gordon is making his big-league debut in this one after nearly 350 minor league innings. He did good strikeout work, leaving hope he can carry over some of that performance. Gordon was good with run prevention in the minors also, holding a 3.60 ERA in that time and 2.55 this year.
Kansas City is near the bottom in most offensive stats. (That extends to their work against left-handed pitchers, which Gordon is.) The Royals are especially lacking in the power categories, including hitting the fewest home runs against left handers.
Gordon is a low- to mid-level streamer. It's important to temper expectations with a guy in his first start, but there are some interesting strikeout numbers, and the matchup couldn't be much better.
Nick Lodolo, Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago White Sox
I'm just going to mention Lodolo quickly as a high-level streamer.
The White Sox are one of the best matchups a pitcher can hope for, and Lodolo is already owned in over half of leagues. He's a must-start player today; go see if he's available in your league and consider keeping him.
Randy Vasquez, San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Angels
Vasquez has almost an absurdly low strikeout rate: 14.7% in his career (versus the league average around 22%) and down to 10.4% in 2025. He combines that with walking too many guys, a recipe for disaster. He has had decent results so far in his career (4.19 ERA), but I have a hard time trusting Vasquez with those underlying numbers.
Los Angeles is another team in the bottom 10 in essentially every major box stat. They do hit home runs (ranking in the top five), but the Angels are last in walks and in the top five in most batter strikeouts, setting a high ceiling for opposing starting pitchers. LA is one of our daily go-to targets.
Vasquez is a low- to mid-level streamer. The matchup is right, and he has found success, but I can't project consistency if he stays on the wrong side with both walks and strikeouts.
Everything below aside from the part about Dean Kremer was in yesterday's article. Cade Povich and Simeon Woods Richardson were scheduled to start, but the game was rained out and will be played today as part of a doubleheader. Povich isn't listed as a starter as of this writing, but he was supposed to go yesterday, so it would make sense that he starts one of the two games here.
Dean Kremer, Baltimore Orioles vs. Minnesota Twins
Cade Povich, Baltimore Orioles vs. Minnesota Twins
Simeon Woods Richardson, Minnesota Twins @ Baltimore Orioles
We'll finish with players facing each other in a doubleheader who each have matchups that could help them to nice days. The Twins aren't an automatic target team. They are close to 20th in many offensive stats, right at the edge of the 10 worst offensive teams but maybe just a hair above that level. Baltimore has no such ambiguity, ranking firmly in the bottom 10 in runs, hits, doubles, walks, batting average, and on-base percentage. The Orioles hit for a little power, but they are also prone to strikeouts.
Kremer has generally been right around average with both walks and strikeouts, but his K number is perilously low in 2025 (just 30 in 44.2 innings). It hasn't worked out too well, as Kremer has allowed 46 hits and eight home runs, working out to a 5.24 ERA.
Povich is a little worse than average with both walks and strikeouts, particularly the latter. His last start was last Tuesday against these same Twins, when Povich threw six innings but allowed five runs. He had four strikeouts and no walks while picking up the loss.
Woods Richardson is a little better than Povich in both K and BB rate, but they are a similar level of pitcher. His previous start was also against Baltimore, and Woods Richardson would have picked up the win, but he only went 4.2 innings and didn't qualify (one strikeout, one walk, two runs allowed).
Kremer and Povich are low-level streamers and Woods Richardson a low- to mid-level streamer. Woods Richardson is the slightly better pitcher and has the better matchup, so he has the advantage in this one if you're looking to choose among the group.
