He has no recent major league appearances and is not currently on the active roster for the second-place Cardinals, who hold a 40-32 record. He remains optioned in the minors, with Jordan Walker currently serving as the primary starter in right field.
Although Baez lacks major league career stats, his immense power surge is completely legitimate, backed by multiple exit velocities exceeding 110 mph. While his raw home run power is undeniable, fantasy managers should expect some initial contact and strikeout regression whenever he makes his big-league debut.
