Jordan Lawlar Nears Major League Return as Rehab Assignment Progresses to Triple-A

Lawlar has not played a major league game recently, having been sidelined since early April with a broken right wrist. The promising shortstop has commenced a rehab assignment at Triple-A Reno, representing a major step toward his return. In his absence, the second-place Diamondbacks (34-31) have relied on Geraldo Perdomo as their everyday shortstop.

Before the injury, Lawlar displayed his high-upside potential in a brief six-game stint, hitting .333 with a home run and a stolen base.
