Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings for Week 14: Brenton Strange, Juwan Johnson, Mark Andrews and More
Morgan gives his week 14 fantasy football rankings for tight ends.
Let's wrap up our week 14 fantasy football ranking stories by going over the tight end position.
We went over quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers in previous stories. Keep checking back to FantasySP for more start/sit stories as week 14 nears and sets in!
Check out week 14 fantasy football projections for tight ends on FantasySP as well.
1. Trey McBride
McBride is easily the top fantasy tight end on a per-week basis this season, so only a truly tough matchup would knock him off the No. 1 spot.
His week 14 matchup against the Rams is just below average, so I don't have a reason to think he won't lead the position in fantasy points again.
2. Brock Bowers
Bowers was good in week 13, even if you take away his two touchdown grabs.
He has the Broncos in week 14. Denver is a slightly above-average test for Bowers, so I expect big things from him.
3. Tyler Warren
Warren scored last week to help deliver a decent fantasy score.
His week 14 test against the Jaguars is an elite fantasy matchup, so he should soar this week.
Kincaid has the best fantasy matchup possible against the Bengals, so he could finish even higher than fourth.
What's holding Kincaid back is injury concerns.
Ferguson has been steadily involved over the past four weeks. It's still down from earlier in the season, but it at least makes him a decent fantasy asset still.
Detroit will be a bit tougher challenge on Thursday night, but I still have him as a top-five fantasy TE.
6. Travis Kelce
Kelce scored last week to deliver a big fantasy showing.
Houston is a very tough fantasy test for a tight end, so we'll see if the veteran can overcome the tough challenge.
Johnson continues to be involved for the Saints' offense, and it's led to some decent fantasy showings.
Tampa Bay is a slightly below-average matchup on paper, so I see the Saints' tight end producing another top-10 finish.
Schultz got back on track last week after a tough showing in week 12.
He has the Chiefs on Sunday night. Kansas City is a tougher challenge, but with how Schultz has been trending, and with four teams on byes, I like Schultz as a top-10 fantasy tight end in week 14.
Strange has been great as a fantasy asset over the past two weeks after returning from an injury, so I'm rewarding him with a top-10 ranking for week 14.
A great matchup against the Colts is another chance for the Jaguars' tight end to deliver. Scoop him off the waiver wire if you still can and fire him up this week.
10. Kyle Pitts Sr.
Pitts had a big PPR showing in week 13, and that came without a touchdown.
He has a great fantasy matchup coming against the Seahawks, so Pitts has a chance to deliver another big fantasy score. We'll see if the Atlanta tight end can take advantage of the situation.
11. Harold Fannin
Fannin scored to turn an OK fantasy showing into a good one in week 13.
He has the Titans in week 14. Tennessee is a slightly below-average matchup, but I'm going to ride the wave and try the rookie here at No. 11.
12. Zach Ertz
Ertz erupted for 106 yards on 10 catches and 13 targets in week 13. He was the recipient often during a game the Commanders passed 50 times.
Minnesota is an above-average matchup for a fantasy tight end, so there's a chance Ertz cracks the top 10 again by the end of the week. He's definitely in the standard league starting conversation.
13. Mark Andrews
Andrews didn't take advantage of a super favorable fantasy matchup in week 13, but he still nearly had nine PPR points.
Pittsburgh is a favorable matchup for tight ends, so I like the idea of trying Andrews in week 14.
14. T.J. Hockenson
Hocken had arguably his best performance in week 13, when Minnesota was whalloped by Seattle. Max Brosmer was at quarterback, so a change back to J.J. McCarthy might actually work against Hockenson.
A pretty favorable matchup against the Commanders is a chance for Hockenson to post another good fantasy score though, so don't forget about him for possible standard league usage this week.
15. Dallas Goedert
Goedert was lackluster again in week 13, which was his third straight week you could say that.
I'm down on him going into week 14. A tougher test against the Chargers is another reason to maybe skip Goedert in standard leagues this week.
16. Oronde Gadsden
Gadsden has really cooled off over the past three weeks.
A tough challenge against the Eagles is a reason to skip Gadsden in standard leagues. He's still a fine deep-league option though.
17. Darren Waller
Waller returned in week 13 and posted 47 yards across two catches and three targets.
A slightly below-average matchup against the Jets is a chance for Waller to start delivering decent fantasy marks again, so we'll see if he can.
18. Isaiah Likely
Likely was the Baltimore tight end who delivered in the super favorable test against the Bengals last week.
A favorable test against the Steelers could mean both him and Andrews post solid fantasy scores.
19. Mason Taylor
Taylor has been an underwhelming fantasy asset over the past four weeks, but his luck could change in week 14.
Miami is his matchup, and the Dolphins are a top-five fantasy matchup for tight ends, so maybe the rookie could surprise this week.
20. AJ Barner
Barner had a so-so fantasy showing in week 13, but it just wasn't anything special.
Atlanta is the toughest fantasy test for a tight end, so that's another reason why I'm down on Barner this week.
21. Colston Loveland
Loveland didn't accomplish much last week, and has been under 10 PPR points in three of the past four weeks now.
Green Bay is a tougher challenge for him, so I see the rookie underwhelming again in week 14.
22. Evan Engram
Engram was great in week 13, but I'm still not convinced in him being a very good fantasy asset.
It doesn't help that he has a very tough matchup coming against the Raiders. Engram had just 12 yards on two catches and five targets the last time he faced Las Vegas.
23. Colby Parkinson
Parkinson's streak of scoring a touchdown stopped at three games last week. He was still somewhat involved.
A very favorable matchup against the Cardinals is why I included Parkinson in my top 30 for week 14. He could surprise again, and most definitely would outperform this ranking with a touchdown grab again.
24. Gunnar Helm
Helm has six catches across seven targets the past two weeks, but just 74 combined yards in those contests. I like his involvement, but on a bad Titans' offense, his fantasy outlook is really diminished.
He will be taking on the Browns in week 14. Cleveland is a slightly below-average matchup, so maybe Helm could deliver adequate numbers to be a good deep-league asset for some.
25. Cade Otton
Otton has fallen off as a fantasy asset, only hauling in eight passes over the past three games, and only topping five fantasy points once in that span.
The Saints are an average matchup, so maybe Otton can do a bit more this week. He had 40 yards on four grabs and five targets in the team's first meeting, and that seems like an adequate projection for the Bucs' tight end.
