6 Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Adds for Tuesday: Sanoja, Pallante, and More

Let's go over a second round of fantasy baseball waiver wire/streaming options for the week!

Andre Pallante - St. Louis Cardinals

Pallante has been added in 6.58% of leagues, which brings his overall mark to 39.47%.

Pallante gets a start against the Giants on Tuesday night. That's a pretty good matchup on paper, and Pallante has pitched fairly well all season.

Across 26 starts, Pallante is 12-6 with a 3.45 earned run average. He has 102 strikeouts over 146 innings pitched, which is holding his fantasy value down some. He has allowed a run over five innings in two straight starts, so he's trending up a bit.

In a good matchup and based on what we've seen from him recently, Pallante is worth streaming in a good amount of leagues today. I definitely like him in deeper leagues, and would also consider him in standard setups, although his lack of strikeouts holds him back from being a must-start guy.

Javier Sanoja - Miami Marlins

Sanoja has been picked up in 2.64% of leagues - he sits at 67.11% overall now.

He has three hits, a double, triple and homer, over his past two contests. Sanoja has five RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base over those contests.

He has a .293 average and .333 on-base percentage over 133 games and 443 plate appearances this season, so he's actually been pretty overlooked as a fantasy asset. Sanoja has 30 doubles, nine homers and five triples among his 122 total hits, plus 63 RBIs, 47 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, 25 walks and just 35 strikeouts.

The lack of power holds him back, but low strikeout totals make him a very good fantasy asset still. Throw in that he's eligible at several positions and his fantasy value is much higher. He's worth adding/utilizing in any fantasy leagues right now.

Ryan Johnson - Los Angeles Angels

Johnson is up 7.24% so far today as he prepares to make a start. He's owned in 15.79% of leagues overall.

He will be taking on the Mariners, who have been a solid streaming target most of the season. Johnson's results of late is why he's a good streaming option though.

Johnson has a 2.11 ERA over his past seven starts, which span 38 1/3 innings. He has 26 strikeouts over that stretch. Johnson's season-long ERA of 5.12 isn't nearly as good - he has a 4-8 record and 63 strikeouts over 84 1/3 innings pitched.

With how he's looked of late, Johnson is a much better option than his season-long numbers suggest. I like trying him in deeper leagues today. He's a standard league option too, but only if you don't like any other streaming options, as he's not a sure thing. 

Travis Bazzana - Cleveland Guardians

Bazzana has been added in 2.63% of leagues, which moves his overall mark to 42.76%.

He's riding a four-game hitting streak, with six knocks over that stretch. Bazzana has a homer and double among the hits, plus four RBIs and runs scored, three walks, a stolen base and just two strikeouts.

In his first big league season, Bazzana has a .249 average and .343 OBP across 113 games and 475 plate appearances. He has 102 total hits, including 20 doubles, 12 homers and two triples. Bazzana also has 54 RBIs, 50 runs scored, 19 stolen bases, 54 walks and 97 strikeouts.

The second baseman has a better dynasty outlook, but in stretches, he's worth trying in a lot of redraft leagues. Bazzana has been a better deep-league asset most of the season, but he could be tried in standard leagues until his bat cools off, especially if you need some second base help.

Griffin Jax - Tampa Bay Rays

Jax is the top add of the day, up 7.89% so far. He's rostered in 52.63% of leagues.

He will be starting against the Athletics on Tuesday evening. His outlook is helped by the fact that the game is in Tampa Bay and not on the road.

Jax has been up and down of late, but is coming off a strong five-inning outing. He allowed just one run on two hits and a walk, while striking out two. He is 7-10 with a 3.99 ERA over 20 starts and 31 appearances this season. Jax has 103 strikeouts over 99 1/3 innings.

He's one to stream in the right matchups, and he's got a pretty good one today. Jax is a better deep-league option, but could at least be considered in standard leagues.

Leo Bernal - St. Louis Cardinals

Bernal is up 1.97% and sits at 15.13% overall now.

He posted three hits on Monday, including a double. Bernal had an RBI as well, and continues to hit well in the big leagues.

Bernal was called up at the start of the month. Across 56 plate appearances, he has 17 hits and four walks for a .327 average and .375 OBP. Bernal has three doubles and home runs, plus 14 RBIs, eight runs scored and 10 strikeouts.

The primary catcher has also played at first base, while also serving as the designated hitter a couple times. In other words, the Cardinals are getting him in the lineup somehow. He's a rising fantasy asset, and is one to add and utilize in more leagues right now. Bernal is a better deep-league option, but those lacking at positions he's eligible at could at least consider him.
