1. Brock Bowers
Bowers gets the No. 1 ranking for Week 9. He will be taking on the 49ers, which is a below-average matchup.
Connect your league to uncover strengths & weaknesses, waiver assistance, trade scenarios, and get instant start/sit clarity.
I still expect Bowers to produce a big fantasy score, and his fantasy owners should confidently start him this week.
In the other half of that San Francisco-Las Vegas game, Kittle is the top Niners' TE.
He has a very favorable matchup coming against the Raiders, so I expect the veteran to deliver big.
3. Trey McBride
This is a pretty low ranking for McBride, but a very tough test against the Seahawks explains it.
McBride is still one to start in all leagues, and he should put together a strong fantasy showing.
Likely is another high-end fantasy TE this season who has a brutal matchup in Week 9.
He faces the Eagles, but in a game the Giants should win, I expect Likely to deliver a good fantasy showing still.
5. Sam LaPorta
LaPorta gets a stellar matchup against the Dolphins in Week 9.
He struggled in a tough test against Minnesota last week, but I think he gets back on track and delivers big in his favorable matchup this week.
6. Tyler Warren
Warren returned to the field in Week 8, but didn't do too much.
I expect more out of him in Week 9, when he faces Dallas. The Cowboys are a pretty average matchup on paper, so a top-10 finish should be doable for Warren.
Loveland has settled in these past few weeks and has started producing as we all expected him to this season.
An above-average matchup against Tampa Bay awaits, so another above-average showing should be coming for Loveland.
8. Tucker Kraft
Kraft has two straight big fantasy showings, although a TD grab in each game helped his cause.
His test against the Patriots in Week 9 is below average, so I'm tempering expectations for the Packers' TE a bit. I still expect a top-10 performance.
Hockenson will get a slightly above-average matchup against the Bills in Week 9.
He's performed well over the past two games, but again, two TD grabs are really propping up those numbers. The matchup is good enough here to keep starting Hockenson.
10. Harold Fannin
Fannin erupted in Week 8, after a pretty good outing in Week 7, so he's on the rise as a fantasy asset.
The Saints are a very favorable matchup, so Fannin is set up well to deliver in a third straight game. He will start in most fantasy setups as a result.
11. Travis Kelce
Kelce has a pretty average matchup coming against the Jets in Week 9.
He's been pretty involved most of the season, but doesn't have a touchdown in four straight games. His chances of finding the end zone aren't great this week, so he falls outside my top 10.
12. Brenton Strange
Strange has a slightly below-average test coming against Baltimore.
He has been pretty good over the past four contests, but is coming off a two-catch outing, so he falls outside the top 10. He's still not a bad starting option.
13. Kyle Pitts Sr.
Pitts really struggled in Week 8, which was a letdown after three straight good fantasy showings.
A favorable matchup against the Bengals is a chance for Pitts to get back on track, so we'll see if he can make the most of the matchup.
14. Dallas Goedert
Goedert had his worst fantasy showing of the season (outside the game he was injured in early on) in Week 8. He had 30 yards on four catches and targets.
The Giants are a below-average test for him, so I actually would call him a better deep-league option this week. He'll be started in some standard leagues out of necessity, but I'd temper my expectations with him because of the matchup.
15. Chig Okonkwo
Okonkwo didn't do much in Week 8, but at least he had four targets for a fourth straight appearance.
The Rams are a stiff fantasy test for him, so Okonkwo is just a deep-league option. He could surprise on a Commanders' team lacking pass catchers after the Terry McLaurin injury though.
16. Dalton Kincaid
Kincaid gets a brutal matchup in Week 9, taking on the Vikings. They are the toughest fantasy test a TE could have so far.
Kincaid had a big showing in Week 8, so that's somewhat promising, but I would only consider starting him in deeper leagues because of the matchup.
17. Greg Dulcich
Dulcich has quietly been pretty involved this season, especially over the past five weeks.
He has the best possible fantasy matchup coming against the Lions, so he's a sneaky-good option for Week 9. Consider streaming him in deeper leagues, and maybe even in standard leagues if you have no better options.
18. Hunter Henry
Henry has a foot injury, so his status needs to be watched. If Eli Raridon starts for him, Raridon would rank a few spots lower.
Henry has been pretty good for the Pats this season, but a brutal matchup against the Packers is why I'm down on whoever starts at TE for New England in Week 9.
19. Juwan Johnson
Johnson has really struggled over his past three appearances, so he'll be looking to get rolling again in Week 9.
The Browns are an above-average matchup for Johnson, so we'll see if the TE can deliver like he did earlier in the season.
20. Dalton Schultz
Schultz has six targets over his past two games, so he's got a little value of late.
The Chargers are a tough matchup on paper, otherwise I'd have ranked him a few slots higher.
21. Mike Gesicki
Gesicki has been a touchdown machine this season, tallying six overall and one in each of the past five games.
Atlanta is an average matchup, so it's possible Gesicki scores again and delivers a decent fantasy score. I still have him as a better deep-league option, even though he's performed like a standard league asset in several weeks.
22. Mason Taylor
Taylor disappointed in Week 8, after shining in Week 7. At least he had five targets though, so that was a plus.
His matchup against the Chiefs in Week 9 is really favorable, so we'll see if Taylor can deliver big again for his fantasy owners.
23. Michael Mayer
Mayer continues to be involved offensively for the Raiders, even behind Bowers.
San Francisco is a tougher test though, so I'm not very high on Mayer for Week 9. He's just a deep-league starting option, and not the best one due to the matchup.
24. Mark Andrews
Andrews falls to No. 24 heading into a tougher test against the Jaguars.
He has underwhelmed in several games this season, including each of the past four, so it's hard to trust him right now. Only consider starting him in deeper leagues.
25. AJ Barner
We'll give Barner the final spot in the top-25 rankings due to a very favorable matchup coming against the Cardinals.
He hasn't performed very well in most games, but in favorable tests, he's produced a bit, so we'll go back to that well here.
