Fantasy Football Week 9 WR Waiver Wire: Mitchell, Williams Among Top Options
Six wide receivers are worth considering on the waiver wire heading into Week 9, including a few players coming off strong performances.
Let's keep checking out fantasy football waiver wire options for Week 9 by discussing some wide receivers.
We already went over running backs in a separate article. We'll cover quarterbacks and tight ends in stories to come, so check back for those!

Adonai Mitchell - New York Jets
Mitchell was rostered in just 17.12% of fantasy leagues for Week 8. That mark should rise significantly before Week 9.
He erupted for 142 yards and a touchdown across seven receptions and nine targets in Week 8. He had a couple 60-yard outings earlier this season, but went without a catch in his return to the field in Week 7.

Mitchell should get added back in a lot of deeper leagues before Week 9 kicks off. With Garrett Wilson and Omar Cooper around too, I'd hold off on adding Mitchell in too many standard leagues.
Mitchell could be picked up in those leagues, but it'd likely take a multi-week absence from Wilson or Cooper to make Mitchell worth trying in standard leagues. He's one to keep an eye on after a breakout performance in Week 8 at least.
Chimere Dike - Tennessee Titans
Dike is only owned in 1.46% of leagues right now, but that could rise before next week kicks off.
Dike had just six receptions for 53 yards across eight targets in the first seven games of the season, but he totaled 71 yards and a score on five receptions and six targets in Week 8.
He is known more for his kick-return prowess, but was a fantasy asset here and there in 2025, his rookie year. Dike played 63 offensive snaps on Sunday, which was 82% of the team's total - you cannot ignore that mark.
Dike is worth adding in some deeper leagues before Week 9. He's a possible starting option depending on how large your starting lineups are, but I'd want to see him deliver again before feeling super confident in him.
If he keeps delivering like he did in Week 8, Dike could eventually work into some standard leagues, so keep him on your watch list.
Antonio Williams - Washington Commanders
Williams sits at 40.57% rostered - he's been on the rise, and that should continue as Week 9 nears.
In the team's first game without McLaurin, Williams led the Commanders with seven targets on Sunday. He caught five passes for 54 yards.
I still like Stefon Diggs the most among the team's wideouts, but Williams and Treylon Burks put together solid outings too. Those two are worth keeping eyes on - Williams is the one I mentioned as he logged 50 offensive snaps, which was 83% of the team's total and the most snaps played among the wideouts.
Williams is worth some more deep-league adds, and maybe even some standard league pickups before Week 9. He's a better deep-league starting option for now, but favorable matchups or a lack of other wideouts could make him stream-worthy in standard leagues.
Keenan Allen - Indianapolis Colts
Allen is rostered in 64.18% of leagues right now, but could be another guy on the rise before next week.
He caught all seven of his targets for 67 yards in the team's lopsided loss to Jacksonville. He's set up well if he sticks on the roster, and with Josh Downs potentially getting traded away.
Allen could turn back the clock a bit and be worth some fantasy ownership and utilization in the second half of the season. I definitely like him in deeper leagues, and he could also be a sneaky-good option in standard leagues.
Watch the transactions the Colts make to ensure that Allen still holds value in Indy, but he's worth adds and some starts in Week 9.
Ryan Flournoy - Dallas Cowboys
Flournoy is another wideout who has risen a bunch of late, and who should continue to rise going into Week 9. He's owned in 44.31% of leagues at the moment.
Flournoy delivered again this week, catching three of his four targets for 38 yards and a score. He also had a three-yard rush.
He has been somewhat involved all season, and has at least four targets in each contest. Flournoy has both of his TD grabs over the past three games, and has 37 or more yards in five straight outings.
Even with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens around, Flournoy has carved out a notable offensive role in Dallas.
He's a better deep-league starting option, but could work into standard leagues if Lamb or Pickens are ever injured and out for a couple of weeks. Keep Flournoy in mind, and don't be afraid to start him in deeper leagues, even when the top receivers are healthy.
Malik Washington - Miami Dolphins
Washington has hovered around 60% for most of the season - he's at 63.07% rostered right now. He could rise after a solid Week 8 outing.
He caught his first touchdown of the season on Sunday. Washington had 40 yards on five receptions and six targets.
He has at least three targets in every game so far. Washington has three or more touches in every contest, and has five or more in each of the past six games now. He's quietly been a solid fantasy asset.
He remains a better deep-league option, but if the TDs keep coming, he could earn some roster spots in standard leagues. At least utilize the wideout in deeper setups, as on several touches alone, he has a decent fantasy upside.
