This Former Fantasy Ace Is Owned in Under 50% of Leagues - Should You Stream Him Tuesday?
Five starting pitchers with good matchups on Tuesday who are widely available in fantasy leagues.
Every division in baseball has a team with at least 31 wins aside from the AL West, where the A's lead the way with a 27-27 record. The West is also the only division in baseball without at least two teams above .500, standing out as the worst in the league as we approach June. There is plenty of time left for one or more groups to improve, but it has been a rough start for a division that had plenty of hope entering 2026.
Moving to fantasy baseball, let's look at five starting pitchers in action on Tuesday who are widely available in fantasy leagues and have good matchups. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Jason Alexander, Houston Astros @ Texas Rangers
Alexander hasn't found much success in his short big-league career, giving up 183 hits in 161 1/3 innings with an ERA of 5.24. Though he has been OK with walks, his strikeout rate is far below average. In his first two appearances this season, Alexander combined for 6 1/3 innings, 11 hits, 10 runs, five walks, and six strikeouts. He was much better in his first start of the season last Tuesday, throwing six shutout innings against the Twins with four strikeouts and a walk.
The Rangers are regularly in the bottom 10 across most offensive box stats, showing a lack of power to go along with a faltering hit tool. Injuries have played a role, as has Texas' home park, which is one of the most pitcher-friendly in the league, and we are going to keep going after the Rangers until they show better performance over an extended stretch. Yesterday, three Houston pitchers combined to no-hit the Rangers, showing the depths of their struggles.
Alexander is a low-level streamer. He generally hasn't been very good in the big leagues, though the matchup gives him a little hope. Could Alexander have some fantasy value here? It's not a lie if you believe it.
Keider Montero, Detroit Tigers vs. Los Angeles Angels
The Angels match their division-mates in Texas in that they pepper the bottom 10 of most offensive stats, leaving them vulnerable to opposing fantasy pitchers. While Los Angeles does hit home runs, they also lead the league in most batter strikeouts, setting a big-time ceiling for everyone they face. LA is one of our favorite targets right now.
Montero is good with walks but well below average with strikeouts, a mark that is worse this season than in years past. He is doing well limiting hitters this year after being just a hair worse than average previously, and that has kept his ERA under 4.00 in 2026. Montero has been a fine pitcher this season, only held down by his lack of Ks.
Montero is a low-to-mid-level streamer. Again, the low strikeout rate is his main downfall, but Montero has a decent chance of finding success here, and with how much the Angels swing and miss, there could even be some upside for the Detroit pitcher.
Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Philles @ San Diego Padres
Nola has gone from a must-own fantasy player to being owned in under 50% of fantasy leagues due to a brutal start in 2026. Though his walks and strikeouts are both average, Nola has given up 61 hits, 34 runs, and nine home runs in just 50 1/3 innings, each mark well worse than average. He had a similar performance last year in 94 1/3 innings, making for close to a full season's worth of below-average pitching.
San Diego is another team sitting in the bottom 10 in pretty much every offensive category. They are in the middle in strikeouts, but they rank low everywhere else, including last in base hits and in the bottom two in all four slash categories. The Padres are one of the least imposing offensive teams in the league right now.
Nola is a low-to-mid-level streamer. He should probably be another level lower, but Nola keeps striking guys out, and the matchup is good enough to bring hope of a decent outing.
Eduardo Rodriguez, Arizona Diamondbacks @ San Francisco Giants
San Francisco's season story remains the same: they are decent in some areas, but they rank in the bottom five (or right near it) in runs and home runs while sitting 40 walks behind any other team. The 29th-place Rockies are as close to the middle of the league in walks as they are to the last-place Giants; it's a true anomaly among the current statistics.
Rodriguez has seen his fantasy ownership rise amidst a very good season, now owned in just under 50% of fantasy leagues. His strikeout rate is down and his walk rate up, both on the wrong side of average, but Rodriguez has been fantastic limiting hitters, giving up just 49 hits, 16 runs, and four homers in over 60 innings.
Rodriguez is a mid-level streamer. His Ks are down, but he has done above-average work during his career, so there's a chance that number rises moving forward. He has generally been at least an average pitcher overall, leaving plenty of hope for continued success.
Luis Severino, Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners
Severino is doing above-average strikeout work, but he is walking way too many batters, something completely out of line with his career work. I'd expect that to come down, but it is a current worry. Severino has been very average in allowing hits, runs, and homers this year, leaving him some fantasy value when the matchup is right.
Seattle ranks low in many areas, but they are hitting home runs, ranking right around 10th over the past few weeks. Without much success elsewhere, that has left them as a below-average offense, and the Mariners also strike out at close to a top-five rate, raising the ceiling for opposing pitchers.
Severino is a low-to-mid-level streamer here. I like his strikeout work, and combined with Seattle K'ing a lot, there's a nice ceiling that could make it worth bumping him up another half-level, but his walks are also concerning, particularly against a team that hits home runs.
