Midweek Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Adds: 3 Hitters and 2 Pitchers to Target

The middle of the work week is here, so we are on our third round of fantasy baseball waiver wire/streaming articles.

We already looked at some starting pitcher streaming options for Wednesday, and are now going to focus on some hitters and a couple relievers. Here were the waiver wire hitter articles from Monday and Tuesday.

Daylen Lile - Washington Nationals

Lile is rostered in 57% of fantasy baseball leagues right now. He's back on the rise after dropping to 55% recently.

Lile had three hits on Tuesday, which upped his hitting streak to five games. He has eight knocks over that span, including two homers and two doubles.

Lile has played in 41 games and logged 181 plate appearances now for the season. He sits with a .264 average and .331 on-base percentage. Lile has 43 total hits, including 11 doubles and five home runs. He also has 19 RBIs, 26 runs scored, two stolen bases, 16 walks and 32 strikeouts.

He's underwhelmed a bit this season after putting together really good numbers over 91 games in 2025. Lile is on pace to pretty much match his numbers from last year if he keeps up this pace, but with a lower average and OBP, his fantasy outlook is a bit down.

Lile is back on the rise as a fantasy asset, and he's an intriguing add knowing he has more in him. I like utilizing him in most deeper leagues now, and he's an option in standard leagues, but at a stacked outfield fantasy spot, he's only going to stick in those leagues if he keeps delivering at the plate.

Ezequiel Duran - Texas Rangers

Duran sits at 33% owned at the moment. He was barely owned as of May 5, so it's been a steady climb for Duran.

Duran had two hits and a walk on Tuesday to bring his season-long average to .296 and OBP to .369. He has a modest three-game hitting streak going now.

Over 34 games and 112 plate appearances, Duran has 29 hits, including seven doubles, three home runs and a triple. He has 16 runs scored, 15 RBIs, 12 walks, four stolen bases and 23 strikeouts so far.

Duran plays all over the field, so check into what fantasy spots he could slot into for you. He's played second and third base, shortstop and left and right field already this season, and played elsewhere in the past.

He's a good fantasy asset, and I'm surprised he isn't owned in more deeper leagues. Duran is still trending up though. Utilize in deeper leagues while you can - if he keeps it up, he could sneak into standard leagues here pretty soon.

Bryson Stott - Philadelphia Phillies

Stott is rostered in 42% of fantasy leagues right now. He was at about 34% back on May 3, so he's been on the rise for a little bit.

Stott had two more hits on Tuesday, which brought his hitting streak to four games. He has a hit in all but three games so far this month, with 10 knocks over 11 games and 41 plate appearances.

Stott has a .222 average and .269 OBP over 36 games and 136 plate appearances on the season, so you can see how slowly he started the year. He also has six doubles, three homers and two triples among his 28 total knocks, plus 16 RBIs, 12 runs scored, eight stolen bases, seven walks and 25 punchouts.

The second baseman is capable of a better average and OBP, at which point he's a good fantasy asset. He seems to be figuring things out at the plate, but he's still not worth owning in all deeper leagues. Stott needs to keep producing at the plate, while playing daily, to get back into standard leagues eventually.

Jacob Latz - Texas Rangers

Latz is up 1.32% and sits at 50% rostered overall.

Latz earned his fifth save of the season on Tuesday. He has an 0-1 record, but just one blown save. Latz also has two holds over his 17 total appearances.

The reliever has pitched in 21 2/3 innings now, and struck out 17 along the way. Latz has allowed only two runs on five hits and four walks.

Latz is gaining steam as a fantasy asset as he serves as the No. 1 option for saves in Texas. He's flying under the radar right now, and is worth ownership/utilization in all deeper leagues, and is now getting into standard leagues - don't wait too long to add him.

Griffin Jax - Tampa Bay Rays

Jax is up 1.31% today, which brings his overall mark to 26.47%.

I said I was going to focus on hitters and relievers, so that technically means I shouldn't be discussing Jax. He's been starting games, and is starting again on Wednesday, but I'm still counting him as a reliever, so let's discuss him quickly.

He's pitched in 14 games overall, and he sits with a 1-2 record, two blown saves and a hold. Jax has allowed 14 runs (10 earned) on 16 hits and 10 walks, while striking out 17 batters.

In three starts, Jax has worked nine total innings, but allowed just three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks, while striking out seven. He threw 31 pitches in his first start, then 45 pitches in the next game before 59 pitches in his last one.

Jax is building up endurance, and in time could emerge as a sneaky-good fantasy starter. His matchup against the Blue Jays today is so-so, but I still like adding (and holding) him in some deeper leagues. He could work into standard leagues in time.
