Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings for Week 10: Colston Loveland, Mark Andrews, Harold Fannin and More
Morgan gives his week 10 fantasy football rankings for tight ends.
After putting together my week 10 rankings for fantasy football quarterbacks, let's move on to the tight end position.
We will rank 25 tight ends, with PPR leagues in mind.
We'll go over wide receivers and running backs later today, so check back for those stories!
Check out week 10 fantasy football projections for tight ends on FantasySP as well.
1. Trey McBride
This could be McBride's last week as the No. 1 option, with the No. 2 guy hot on his heels.
McBride has been the best fantasy TE overall to this point of the season, and I see him leading the charge in week 10 in a favorable test against the Seahawks, who allow 16 fantasy points per game to tight ends.
2. Brock Bowers
Bowers starred in his return to the field, and should be even more involved going forward after the Raiders traded Jakobi Meyers away.
The only thing that kept Bowers from earning the top spot was a tough test against the Broncos this week. Denver allows 11 points per game to fantasy TEs.
3. Tyler Warren
Warren has scored in double figures in two straight games, but I still trust him more than any other remaining TE.
A tough test against the Falcons will be another hurdle for him to overcome. I see him scoring way more than five fantasy points, which is what Atlanta allows to opposing tight ends so far.
4. Sam LaPorta
LaPorta could be a top-end fantasy option this weekend because of a great matchup against the Commanders.
Washington allows 16 fantasy points to opposing tight ends so far, so he could easily overtake the three guys I have him ranked behind.
Kittle has been kind of ehh since returning to the field.
A tough test against the Rams doesn't help his cause, but I like his upside over anyone else, so I'll give him the No. 5 spot.
Gadsden continues to deliver solid results, and he's got a good chance of continuing that in week 10.
A super favorable test against the Steelers is on deck. Pittsburgh gives up 18 fantasy points per game to tight ends, so he's another guy who could finish atop the position - I just feel safer ranking him here.
Goedert also has a great matchup, getting the Packers on Monday night.
Green Bay allows 16 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends, so watch for Goedert to potentially surprise with a big score in week 10.
Another tight end, another stellar matchup. Kincaid gets the Dolphins in week 10.
Miami allows 17 fantasy points per game to tight ends, so Kincaid is another great starting option for week 10.
Here's another tight end with a stellar matchup in week 10.
Pitts gets the Colts, who give up 18 fantasy points per week to tight ends. I know Pitts isn't the more trustworthy option out there, but at a weak position, you might as well chase a good matchup.
10. Mark Andrews
Andrews has closer to an average matchup against the Vikings, but it is still an above-average test.
Andrews scored two touchdowns last week, but didn't do much else. We'll see if he can keep trending up.
11. Dalton Schultz
Schultz was really good in week 9, and has a great matchup against the Jaguars in week 10.
Jacksonville gives up a whopping 19 fantasy points per game to tight ends - that's the best matchup of the week with the Bengals' defense on their bye. Fire up Schultz and be confident he can deliver in week 10.
12. Theo Johnson
Johnson has another above-average matchup against the Bears, I just don't trust him as much as the guys listed before him.
Chicago allows 15 fantasy points per game to the position. I don't see Johnson scoring that many points, but he's at least in the standard league starting conversation.
13. Harold Fannin
Fannin has a pretty average matchup coming against a depleted Jets' defense.
Fannin has to deal with another tight end on his own team, plus maybe the return of Cedric Tillman, so I'm a bit down on the Browns' rookie TE this week.
14. Hunter Henry
Henry and the Pats have the Buccaneers in week 10.
That's a slightly below-average matchup, so an average ranking for Henry makes sense.
15. Juwan Johnson
Johnson has been trending up again, and now has a better outlook after the Saints traded away Rashid Shaheed.
A week 10 test against the Panthers is ever so slightly above average, so I'd be willing to play Johnson again.
16. Zach Ertz
Ertz has a diminished fantasy outlook with Marcus Mariota starting over Jayden Daniels, but there's still enough upside to start him in some leagues.
He gets the Lions this week, which is a below-average matchup, but nothing too daunting.
17. T.J. Hockenson
Hockenson has disappointed most of the season, but has a pretty average matchup against the Ravens this week.
Maybe he's still ranked too high, but I like his upside more than anyone left, at least for another week.
18. David Njoku
Njoku is the second Cleveland tight end, but he and Fannin have both delivered at times this year.
After a bye, Njoku should be past his injury concern, so I'd be happy to fire him up in deeper leagues for an average matchup against the Jets.
19. Colston Loveland
Loveland broke out in week 9, but I'd like to see more from him before trusting him with a higher ranking.
A week 10 test against the Giants is actually below average, so that's another reason why I'd only consider him in deeper leagues.
20. Cade Otton
I really thought I'd rank Otton higher, but Tampa Bay could be healthier after their bye, so the tight end needs to prove himself again.
His matchup against the Patriots is slightly above average, so I still wouldn't mind starting him in some deeper leagues. I think there's better options available for standard league starts.
21. Mason Taylor
Taylor got some extra competition for targets after the Jets landed wideout Adonai Mitchell from the Colts. Still, Taylor could be the No. 3 pass-catching option, at worst, for the Jets.
A test against the Browns is below average, but nothing too crazy. I'd consider him for some deep-league starts too.
22. Luke Musgrave
Musgrave will likely take over as the top tight end with Tucker Kraft now lost for the season. He hasn't done a ton this season, and needs to prove it before I rank him any higher.
The test he has against the Eagles is also brutal, so I'm not wanting to start Musgrave if I don't have to.
23. AJ Barner
Barner was a loser after the trade deadline, as Shaheed will take some fantasy production away. Throw in that Elijah Arroyo is chipping in too now and Barner might be out of the TE rankings after this week.
It's a shame that Shaheed was added, because the week 10 matchup Barner has against the Cardinals is a pretty favorable one. I'd have liked to start him in deeper leagues, but prefer to skip him now.
24. Jonnu Smith
Smith hasn't been a big part of the Steelers' offense this season, but he's involved enough to make my top 25 at least.
He has a tough matchup against the Chargers this week, which is another reason to stay away from him if you can.
25. Evan Engram
Engram hasn't taken off with the Broncos like I expected, but again, he's involved enough for a shoutout in this article.
He has a tough test against the Raiders, so I'd prefer to avoid him too.
