It's time to go over week 8 fantasy football projections to see if there's any worthwhile waiver wire options out there.

With six teams on byes, the options are limited. I have a couple players at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end still.

Also be sure to check out waiver stories on quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends, plus FAAB stories on QB/TE and RB/WR.

Wide Receivers

Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy and Jauan Jennings are all projected for 12 PPR points.

Ridley is rostered in 80% of fantasy leagues and is going up against the Colts in week 8.

Jeudy is owned in 85% of leagues at the moment. He has the Patriots in week 8.

Jennings is at 78% rostered and will be taking on the Texans in week 8.

Rashid Shaheed and Darnell Mooney are two wide receivers projected for 11 PPR points.

Shaheed is rostered in 89% of leagues and will be facing the Buccaneers in week 8. Mooney has a test against the Dolphins, and is owned in only 39% of leagues.

Khalil Shakir and Josh Downs are both projected for 10 PPR points.

Shakir has the Panthers in week 8 - he's rostered in 83% of leagues. Downs is at 56% and will be taking on the Titans.

Keon Coleman, Marvin Mims, Marquise Brown and Wan'Dale Robinson are all set for nine PPR points in week 8.

Coleman will face the Panthers, and is rostered in 71% of leagues right now. Mims will take on the Cowboys and is owned in 25% of leagues.

Brown sits at 58% and will be taking on the Commanders. Robinson is owned in 86% of leagues and has the Eagles this week.

Tight Ends

David Njoku is projected for 10 points, as is T.J. Hockenson and Evan Engram.

Njoku missed week 7, so his status will be one to watch this week. He's rostered in 76% of leagues and will be taking on the Patriots in week 8.

Hockenson has the Chargers this coming week, and is owned in 84% of leagues. Engram sits at 60% owned and has the Cowboys in week 8.

Zach Ertz, Mark Andrews, Chig Okonkwo and Dalton Schultz are all projected for nine PPR points this coming week.

Ertz has the Chiefs, which is a tougher matchup. He's owned in 86% of leagues.

Andrews is at 78% owned and will be taking on the Bears. Okonkwo has a favorable matchup against the Colts and is rostered in 19% of leagues.

Schultz has the Niners this coming week - he's rostered in 27% of fantasy leagues at this time.

Quarterbacks

Justin Fields is projected for 19 fantasy points in the team's matchup against the Bengals. His status will be one to watch, as Tyrod Taylor might end up starting over him. Taylor wouldn't be a bad streaming option if he ends up starting.

Brock Purdy is set for 17 fantasy points against the Texans. It looks like he could miss another game though, so Mac Jones would be a streaming option again. Purdy is rostered in 74% of leagues, while Jones is at 16%.

J.J. McCarthy is rostered in 27% of leagues and would be projected for 16 fantasy points if he starts against the Chargers. Carson Wentz (9% rostered) could also start again, although his projection might be lower than McCarthy's.

C.J. Stroud is projected for 15 fantasy points this week against the Niners. Even after a down performance on Monday, Stroud will be one of the better streaming options with six other fantasy QBs out on their byes. He's rostered in 70% of leagues.

Michael Penix is another quarterback at 15 projected points for week 8. He will be taking on the Dolphins, if he's able to play. Penix is dealing with a bone bruise, so his status will be one to watch. He's rostered in 26% of fantasy leagues at the moment.

Running Backs

RJ Harvey is set for 12 PPR points in a game against the Cowboys this week. That's a favorable matchup, which is why the backup RB is projected so highly. He's rostered in 85% of leagues right now.

Tyjae Spears is projected for eight PPR points this week. He has the Colts, which is a tougher matchup on paper. Spears is rostered in 50% of leagues.

The other highly-projected running backs are owned in 90% of leagues or more. On a week with six teams on byes, it will be slim pickings, especially at running back.
