Popular Wideouts in Trending Decisions
Las Vegas' Tre Tucker, Philadelphia's Darius Cooper and Pittsburgh's Germie Bernard are part of the most trending decisions on the FantasySP start/sit tool. Throwing in all the wide receivers against them, we have enough for an intriguing start/sit article, so let's discuss these three wideouts at length before getting into several other receivers and then some actual lineup decisions and data!
Tucker has been pretty involved offensively for Las Vegas so far, but he has just one game over 50 total yards, and his only score of the season came in that one contest as well.
The Raiders wide receivers have the best fantasy matchup the position could have in their matchup against the Bills, so that makes Tucker a bit more appealing. The game flow might also produce several targets and chances at production, so things are lined up pretty well.
Cooper has come out of nowhere this season, with all the Eagles' injuries so far helping his cause. He has just 130 yards on seven catches and 13 targets, but four touchdowns give him a major fantasy boost.

He'll be going against the Panthers in Week 6 - that's a below-average matchup on paper, and down quarterback Jalen Hurts, Cooper's outlook isn't the best. He's still a flex-level option based on what he's produced so far this season.
Bernard could have a larger offensive role in Pittsburgh after some wideout injuries around him. The rookie broke out last week with 84 yards across six catches and nine targets and a rushing attempt.
The only thing working against him is a tougher matchup against the Buccaneers in Week 6. Bernard might get enough work on volume alone to deliver a good fantasy score, so he's certainly a fantasy option in some leagues this week.
Other WRs to Consider
Pittsburgh's DK Metcalf, Tennessee's Wan'Dale Robinson, Washington's Terry McLaurin, Arizona's Michael Wilson, Tampa Bay's Emeka Egbuka, Carolina's Jalen Coker and Tetairoa McMillan and New Orleans' Devaughn Vele join the mix as wideouts who are part of trending decisions right now.
Metcalf will look to get back on track after a down performance in Week 5. He gets the Buccaneers this week - Tampa Bay is a below-average fantasy matchup, so fantasy owners are skeptical of trying Metcalf in Week 6.
Robinson has delivered good PPR results over the past three contests, but still isn't a very confident fantasy play on a lackluster Titans' team. Indianapolis is his Week 6 matchup, and a pretty favorable one at that, so I think Robinson is a sneaky-good option this week.
McLaurin has a bit of an injury concern, but he returned and was solid a week ago, so there's hope he plays and delivers again in Week 6. Unfortunately, his matchup is a tougher one against the Niners, so he's not the plug-and-play fantasy asset you'd hope he is.
Wilson is the clear WR1 in Arizona after the trade of Marvin Harrison. He's fared pretty well most of this season, but has a tough challenge coming against the Rams. In a game that Arizona might need to pass a lot to keep pace with LA, I think Wilson could still deliver big.
Egbuka got back on track last week, with a rushing score really helping his cause. He too has a tough matchup coming, as he's facing the Steelers. Egbuka's outlook is a bit brighter than last week, but he's still not a very confident fantasy play.
Coker should be back on the field after missing a game and then having the team's bye week. He was stellar in Weeks 1-2 before falling off in Week 3. Philadelphia is a very favorable matchup for him, so we'll see if he can deliver big again.
McMillan is coming off a monster showing, but the bye week kind of slowed his roll - the return of Coker also doesn't help. In a very good matchup though, both Carolina wideouts could deliver for fantasy owners out there.
Vele has been at least a steady fantasy asset through five weeks of action, though he's been below average in two of the past three contests. The Giants are a slightly below-average test, so while things aren't stellar there, I think Vele could deliver enough to make a lot of fantasy owners happy.
Start/Sit Recommendations and Data
In my Week 6 fantasy football wide receiver rankings, several of the players we've written about here made the cut.
McMillan is the first one ranked, and he's way up at No. 13. He's a must-start fantasy wideout at this point, especially on a week where four teams are on byes and other wideouts are out with injuries.
Wilson is next, coming in 16th. Coker checks in 19th. McLaurin is next up at No. 23, with Metcalf at No. 25. Vele is 27th, while Egbuka is 28th, and Robinson rounds out the rankings at No. 30.
I think there's some really solid fantasy starting options among those wideouts.
Tucker, Bernard and Cooper are three wideouts I don't have ranked in my top 30. I get the appeal with all three players, but feel they are all better deep-league fantasy starting options. I like Tucker the best of that trio, followed by Bernard and then Cooper.
As for what fantasy owners are choosing to do, let's break down some trending start/sit decisions between these wide receivers.
Tucker is the heavy favorite over Cooper, with both starting in just 13.64% of leagues. Metcalf is favored over Tucker, with both of them starting in 46.51% of leagues. Tucker is the slight favorite over Robinson, with both starting in 25% of leagues.
McLaurin is easily favored over Cooper, and that could rise as injury statuses are announced. Both wideouts are starting together in 13.64% of leagues. Wilson is the easy favorite over Cooper as well.
McMillan is the easy choice over Bernard, but both are starting together in 45.45% of leagues. Vele is the choice over Bernard, with both starting in 28.57% of leagues.
Wilson is fantasy owner's choice over Coker, but both are starting 58.95% of the time. Metcalf is a slight favorite over Egbuka, with both starting in 45.68% of leagues.
