Fading Draft Stock and Crowded Depth Chart Cloud Fantasy Relevance

Mooney enters the season operating out of the slot for the Giants, but finding consistent volume will be difficult. With Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton locking down perimeter duties alongside Isaiah Likely, Mooney faces stiff target competition. Recent trade inquiries also highlight an uncertain team role.

Fantasy managers have rapidly moved away from the veteran receiver. Mooney's 1.0 PPR draft stock has plummeted, falling from an ADP near 209 in early August down past pick 330. Our projections justify the drop, forecasting just 30 receptions for 475 yards and three touchdowns.

Coming off a muted 35-catch campaign in 2025, Mooney's roster percentage has dipped to two percent. Given his low floor and limited target share, he is strictly a deep-league reserve who can remain on waiver wires in standard leagues.
