Week 2 Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings: Dallas Goedert and Tyler Warren Rank Highly
Morgan gives his week 2 fantasy football rankings for tight ends.
After going over my week 2 fantasy football quarterback rankings, let's dive into my week 2 tight end rankings.
We'll rank 25 tight ends from a PPR perspective.

1. Brock Bowers
A knee injury is a tad concerning, but I still have Bowers as my No. 1 fantasy TE for week 2.
He was great in week 1 and has a clash against the Chargers in week 2. LA allowed a TE touchdown in week 1, giving Bowers a favorable matchup on top of his already elite status.
2. Trey McBride
McBride gets the No. 2 TE spot for a second straight week as he prepares for a favorable matchup against the Panthers.
He was good in week 1, and Carolina allowed a TE touchdown as well, so things are looking great for McBride in week 2.
3. Sam LaPorta
LaPorta was one of the few Lions who actually looked good in week 1.
His matchup in week 2 is against Chicago, who shut down TEs in week 1, but LaPorta is a different animal. I think he keeps things rolling.
4. Travis Kelce
It's another not-so-great matchup with Kelce going up against the Eagles.
Seeing who the Chiefs have available to catch passes gives Kelce a massive fantasy boost. He should deliver good/great results on volume alone.
Goedert jumps into the top five after a good showing in week 1.
KC is his matchup, and they allowed 68 yards on three catches and targets, so Goedert is set up for some success in week 2 for an Eagles' offense that will be looking for a better showing overall.
6. Tyler Warren
Give me the rookie in the sixth slot going into his matchup against the Broncos.
Warren was good in his first regular season game, and while the matchup isn't super favorable, I like Warren being heavily involved for the Colts' offense every week.
7. Hunter Henry
I'm a big fan of Henry going into week 2. He faces the Dolphins, who allowed 96 yards on eight grabs and 10 targets to TEs in week 1.
Henry was good in week 1 himself, and I'd be willing to try him again this week.
I'm hesitantly putting Pitts in my top 10 for week 2.
He was solid in week 1 and gets the Vikings in week 2. Minnesota allowed 43 yards on three grabs and six targets in week 1.
9. David Njoku
I had Njoku as my No. 4 TE last week and got burned badly. I'm dropping him this week, but still have him in my top 10.
A matchup against the Ravens is a favorable matchup after Baltimore allowed TEs to go for 97 yards and a score on seven grabs and targets in week 1.
This won't be the last Cleveland TE in my rankings.
10. Mark Andrews
Despite Baltimore's big offensive day in week 1, Andrews was quiet.
He has the chance to bounce back against the Browns in week 2. Cleveland allowed tight ends to go for 40 yards and a score on five catches and 10 targets in week 1.
11. Dalton Kincaid
I'm rolling the dice on Kincaid here. He caught a TD in week 1.
He gets the Jets in week 2 - they allowed 43 yards and a score on eight receptions to TEs in week 1.
12. T.J. Hockenson
This might seem low for Hock, but really he could be a lot lower.
He wasn't very good in week 1, and has a tough matchup against Atlanta in week 2. The Falcons didn't allow a catch to a TE across three targets last week.
13. Brenton Strange
Cincy was crushed by tight ends in week 1, so I'm willing to test that matchup in week 2 with Strange.
He was pretty solid in week 1, so it's a bit easier to rank him this high.
14. Zach Ertz
I'll take a stab on Ertz here. He gets the Packers in week 2.
The Packers' defense was really good in week 1, but LaPorta had a big day against them. The veteran Ertz could do the same on Thursday night.
15. Tucker Kraft
Kraft caught a TD in week 1, but he falls a spot from his week 1 ranking.
Washington allowed 19 yards on two grabs and four targets to TEs in week 1, so I don't love the matchup.
16. Evan Engram
Engram is banged up going into week 2, and taking on a stingy Colts' defense.
If he plays, I don't love Engram's fantasy outlook. Indy allowed 20 yards on two catches and four targets to TEs in week 1.
17. Jake Ferguson
Ferguson didn't do much in week 1, but he gets a slight improvement in his ranking because of the matchup against the Giants.
New York allowed TEs to go for 26 yards and a score on three catches and five targets in week 1. A similar line for Ferguson would help him likely finish above the ranking I gave him.
18. Harold Fannin
Here's that second Cleveland tight end I was hinting at before.
The rookie starred over Njoku in week 1, and the matchup says he too could deliver big numbers again, even if Njoku gets back to his TE1 ways.
19. Jonnu Smith
It's time to start going after some matchups, as things at the position fizzle out. So Smith gets the No. 18 spot going into a test against the Seahawks.
Seattle allowed TEs to score twice and catch all eight of their targets for 44 yards. That gives Smith a nice fantasy outlook, even if he's still dealing with Pat Freiermuth at the same position.
20. Colston Loveland
I didn't like Loveland's usage in week 1, but I'm willing to try him in week 2 against the Lions.
Again, Detroit allowed a TD to Kraft, so there's some upside in starting Loveland.
21. Darren Waller
This is risky, because Waller didn't play in week 1, but the matchup is screaming to start the Dolphins' tight end.
New England allowed TEs to go for 141 yards on nine catches and 12 targets in week 1. Don't start any Miami backup TEs if Waller is out, but the former stud Waller could get off to a monster start if he suits up this week.
22. Chig Okonkwo
A decent matchup against the Rams is boosting Okonkwo to this spot.
He struggled in week 1, but the Rams allowed 50 yards on seven receptions and nine targets to TEs in week 1, so there's reason to believe Okonkwo could get going here.
23. Juwan Johnson
Johnson was one of my favorite waiver wire pickups for week 2, but I do not like his matchup against the Niners.
He's more of an add-and-stash waiver add, and if he delivers against San Fran, then I'll believe in him more going forward. Let's see if he can prove me wrong this week.
24. Cade Otton
Otton didn't do anything against the Falcons last week, and his matchup against the Texans isn't good this week.
Houston did allow a TE touchdown in week 1, so maybe Otton can also find the end zone once.
25. Dalton Schultz
Give me Schultz in the last TE ranking spot. He gets the Buccaneers in week 2.
Tampa allowed TEs to go for 59 yards on seven grabs and eight targets in week 1. Schultz didn't do much in week 1, but the matchup is right to try him in some deeper fantasy setups.
