Week 2 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings: Is Bo Nix Still in the Top 10? Where Do Justin Fields and Daniel Jones Rank?
Morgan gives his week 2 fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks.
Week 2 of the fantasy football season is nearly here, so it's time to start going over my weekly rankings at each position.
We'll start with quarterbacks again. Check back for the running back, wide receiver and tight end rankings!

1. Josh Allen
After a stellar week 1 showing, Allen gets my No. 1 ranking heading into week 2.
He has a matchup against the Jets, who were torched through the air by the Steelers in week 1. Allen should be in store for a monster fantasy showing with his dual-threat ability.
2. Jalen Hurts
Give me Hurts against the Chiefs in my No. 2 spot.
Hurts was good in week 1, and now has a solid matchup in week 2. KC was picked apart by the Chargers in week 1. With Philly's offense looking for a better showing, I expect Hurts to star as a runner and passer in this one.
Jackson was great in week 1, and now has a bit tougher matchup against the Browns in week 2.
Cleveland shut down a good Bengals' offense in week 1, but I don't think they'll be able to hold a ticked off Ravens' offense in check this coming week.
4. Joe Burrow
Burrow was held in check in week 1 against the Browns, but I see a big bounceback week for him and the offense in a test against the Jaguars.
Burrow has the chance to be the top fantasy QB if the offense is clicking, so this No. 4 ranking might even be too low.
Daniels gets my No. 5 spot going into a Thursday night test against the Packers.
It's risky to put Daniels this high after Green Bay's defense dominated Detroit in week 1, but it's hard to let the dual-threat youngster drop anymore.
6. Drake Maye
This is probably a surprise to you, but a favorable matchup against the Dolphins has me really liking Maye this week.
Miami was torched by the Colts' offense in week 1, so Maye is set up for greatness this week. We'll see if he can deliver and help the Pats to their first win.
Mahomes gets my No. 7 slot going into a battle with the Eagles.
Kansas City is down a couple wideouts, but Mahomes will still have to do the heavy lifting, as I don't see the Chiefs finding success on the ground. On volume alone, Mahomes should be in line for a big showing. Plus, Philly's pass defense was so-so against a weaker Cowboys' offense in week 1.
8. Kyler Murray
Murray gets the Panthers in a week 2 matchup.
Murray was just OK in week 1, while Carolina's defense was worse against the run than it was the pass. Murray's dual-threat ability gives him a slight bump, and another top-10 spot.
9. Jordan Love
Love gets a bump into the top 10 after a pretty good week 1 showing.
A test against the Commanders awaits on Thursday night, and I think Love and the Packers' offense will put up some points in this one.
10. Bo Nix
Nix was not good in week 1, and now he has to face a Colts' defense that dominated the Dolphins' offense.
I like Nix bouncing back this week, although it's definitely a bit scary ranking him this high. We'll see if Nix and the Broncos' offense can get things rolling.
11. Justin Fields
Fields gets a five-spot bump from his week 1 performance. He has the Bills in week 2.
Buffalo allowed a bunch of fantasy points to Jackson in week 1. Fields isn't Jackson, but his dual-threat ability should allow him to succeed and have another above-average fantasy week.
12. Jared Goff
Goff moves up in the rankings this week despite a rough week 1 showing against the Packers.
A week 2 battle with the Bears is an OK matchup. Chicago allowed a lot of fantasy QB points in week 1, but a lot of those were on runs, which Goff doesn't do much. I think Goff and the Lions' offense bounces back though, so that's why I have him ranked here.
13. Brock Purdy
Purdy lands my No. 13 slot as he prepares for the Saints.
He gets knocked down a couple pegs because of the injuries the offense is dealing with. I feel the Niners' offense might lean on Christian McCaffrey and the running game, but the matchup is solid enough to try Purdy against too.

14. Justin Herbert
Herbert was stellar in week 1, but until he proves it regularly, I'm not ready to put him in my top 10.
A matchup against the Raiders is a chance for the Chargers' QB to keep shining, but I also see the running game being much better this week, which will negate some of Herbert's production from week 1.
15. Baker Mayfield
It's not often that I'll have Mayfield this low. He has a tough matchup against the Texans though.
Houston shut down a pretty high-powered Rams' offense for the most part, and that's what scares me off Mayfield a bit. If the Bucs score their touchdowns on the ground, Mayfield could really finish way below this, so this is where I'm most comfortable putting him for week 2.
16. Geno Smith
Smith ranked 27th for me last week, so he earned my respect and a much higher ranking for week 2.
He gets the Chargers, who allowed a bunch of fantasy points in week 1. Smith isn't Mahomes, but to keep up with LA, I see Vegas passing a bunch, and that will lead to a big week from Smith.
17. Michael Penix
Penix also gets a big-time boost from week 1 as he prepares for the Vikings in week 2.
Penix did a bit on the ground, along with his strong work in the passing game, and that same style of QB racked up good fantasy points against Minnesota in week 1, so I'm willing to try this matchup in week 2.
18. Daniel Jones
This is scary to have Jones in the No. 18 slot.
He has a matchup against the Broncos, who were stellar against the fantasy QB in week 1. Jones was stellar in his start against the Dolphins though. Fittingly, I basically threw Jones in the middle of the rankings, but know there's a higher ceiling and lower floor possible too.
19. Dak Prescott
Prescott gets the 19th slot going into a matchup against the Giants.
Prescott looked pretty good in week 1 against the Eagles, but it didn't result in a big fantasy showing. I think his fortunes could change in week 2, and this ranking might be far too low.
20. J.J. McCarthy
The first-year starter led a big-time comeback on Monday night, and changed his fantasy outlook going forward in the process.
A matchup against the Falcons in week 2 is a chance for McCarthy to cement himself as a good fantasy starting option, especially in deeper leagues.
21. Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers was fantastic in week 1, but I'm not sold on the Steelers' offense just yet.
A week 2 test against the Seahawks looks like a solid matchup, but I think Rodgers' numbers will regress from week 1, and he'll be a better deep-league starting option, not a standard league threat.
22. Trevor Lawrence
I'm down on Lawrence a bit in week 2 after a so-so performance in week 1, and with how the Jags' running game looked.
The Bengals' defense looked better in week 1, but there's a chance for Lawrence to still deliver big marks in week 2.
23. Joe Flacco
Give me Flacco in the most favorable fantasy QB matchup against the Ravens.
Granted, Flacco cannot do what Allen did in week 1, I expect Cleveland to sling it around a bunch, and that should help Flacco put up a decent amount of fantasy points.
24. Russell Wilson
Wilson and the Giants' offense wasn't good in week 1, but the matchup against the Cowboys is a chance for Wilson and company to bounce back.
It's risky to even have him this high, but I like the veteran's outlook in week 2.
25. C.J. Stroud
Stroud wasn't good in week 1, and after a down 2024 season, things are starting to get worrisome in Houston.
A matchup against the Bucs in week 2 is a chance for Stroud to get rolling. We'll see if he can.
26. Tua Tagovailoa
This is risky to even have Tagovailoa this high after how he and the Dolphins' offense looked in week 1.
A matchup against the Patriots looks OK on paper, and I don't believe Tua and company will play that poorly again.
27. Caleb Williams
I don't think Williams played well in week 1, and now he will take on an angry Lions team.
Things could get even worse for Williams as a fantasy asset in week 2.
28. Matthew Stafford
Stafford and the Rams' offense was slowed in week 1, and now they have a brutal matchup against the Titans.
I'm never this down on Stafford, but this week, I'm against starting him.
29. Sam Darnold
Darnold didn't look anything like his 2024 self in week 1, so a favorable matchup against the Steelers isn't enticing to me.
I think Pittsburgh's defense makes life rough on Darnold.
30. Bryce Young
Young was underwhelming again in week 1.
I'm down on him despite an OK matchup against the Cardinals this week.
31. Cameron Ward
Ward struggled in week 1 against the Broncos and now has a tough test against the Rams.
We'll see if he and the Titans' offense can be any better this week.
32. Spencer Rattler
Rattler was actually OK in week 1, but I hate his matchup in week 2 against the Niners.
He gets the last ranking for a second straight week.
