Week 2 Fantasy Football Projections and Waiver Wire Options: Cedric Tillman, Drake Maye and More
Taking a look at week 2 fantasy football projections to identify some possible waiver wire options.
Week 1 of the NFL season is in the books, so it's time to flip the page to week 2.
We have waiver wire stories all over the place (quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, kickers, defenses and FAAB), and have another waiver-related story here.
Let's go over some week 2 fantasy football projections. We will only cover players (QB, RB, WR and TE) with an own percentage below 90. Note that some of these own percentages will go over 90 after waivers go through, so be sure to act quickly.

Quarterbacks
Justin Fields (84% rostered) is projected for 17 fantasy points this week against the Bills.
He looked good in week 1 and is on the rise as a fantasy asset. The matchup looks pretty favorable after the Bills' defense was decimated by Lamar Jackson on Sunday night.
Jordan Love (81%) is projected for 17 points against the Commanders on Thursday night.
Love looked mostly good in the team's week 1 win over the Lions. The Commanders' defense shut down the Giants in week 1, but the Packers' offense is much more formidable.
Drake Maye (88%) is set for 17 points against the Dolphins in week 2.
The Dolphins' allowed Daniel Jones to go off in week 1, so things look very favorable for Maye, who was pretty good in week 1 himself.
Jared Goff (84%) is set for 17 points against the Bears in week 2.
The Lions' offense was bad in week 1, but after Chicago choked a big fourth quarter lead away on Monday night, this is looking like a better matchup for Goff and company.
Trevor Lawrence (60%) is projected for 17 points against the Bengals.
Lawrence looked fine in week 1, while Cincy's defense only gave up 16 points, but Cleveland threw for plenty of yards on them.
Tua Tagovailoa (41%) is set for 16 points against the Patriots after a horrendous showing against the Colts in week 1.
Wide Receivers
Cedric Tillman (54%) is projected for 11 PPR fantasy points in week 2 against the Ravens.
He was good in a pass-happy Cleveland offense in week 1, and the team might need to keep that up in week 2 to keep up with Baltimore. Tillman is a popular waiver wire add already, and this projection makes him an even stronger option.
Christian Kirk (48%) is also projected for 11 PPR points in week 2 - he takes on the Bucs.
Kirk was out in week 1 with a hamstring injury. I like the matchup in week 2, he won't be the safest start option, especially off an injury.
Rashid Shaheed (81%) is projected for 10 PPR points in week 2 against the Niners. Wan'Dale Robinson (37%) is set for 10 points against the Cowboys, while Marquise Brown (52%) is projected for 10 points against the Eagles.
Darnell Mooney (73%) is set for 10 points against the Vikings, while Keenan Allen (76%) is projected for 10 PPR points against the Raiders.
Shaheed was underwhelming in week 1, but if the Saints have to pass a bunch in week 2 to keep up with San Fran, Shaheed could be a sneaky good fantasy asset.
Robinson had a good PPR showing in week 1. He could be a solid weekly asset in PPR setups, and the matchup is solid enough to try him in.
Brown had a great week 1 showing, and his outlook is even better going forward with Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy out of the picture. I see him as the likely top pass catcher for KC for a bit, as defenses will key in on Travis Kelce instead.
Mooney didn't play in week 1, so like Kirk, he'd be a risky play in week 2. The matchup appears to be pretty solid, but it all comes down to his status.
Allen turned in a nice week 1 showing and should remain pretty involved for the Chargers' offense. I like the matchup against Vegas and think Allen will be a sneaky good fantasy asset again.
Tight Ends
The options at tight end are not as highly projected.
Dallas Goedert (83%) is set for nine points against the Chiefs. He was a solid PPR performer in week 1, and this matchup doesn't scare me too much.
Kyle Pitts Sr. (77%), Zach Ertz (51%), Jake Ferguson (82%), Hunter Henry (59%) and Dalton Kincaid (85%) are all projected for eight PPR points this coming week.
Pitts takes on the Vikings after a pretty solid week 1 showing. Ertz was underwhelming, but caught a TD to salvage his fantasy score in week 1. He gets the Packers on Thursday night - Green Bay surrendered a big fantasy day to Sam LaPorta in week 1.
Ferguson will look to bounce back from a slow week 1 showing in week 2 against the Giants. Henry gets the Dolphins, who allowed Tyler Warren to have a nice fantasy outing. Henry was good in week 1 himself.
Kincaid has the Jets lined up in week 2. Kincaid was good in week 1, but a touchdown bumped his fantasy score up considerably.
Running Backs
Again, the fantasy running back spot is weak for highly-projected fantasy options.
Nick Chubb (88%) is projected for 10 PPR points against the Buccaneers in week 2.
He was OK in week 1, while Tampa Bay allowed Bijan Robinson to have a day. Chubb isn't Robinson, but there's a chance for a decent fantasy showing from the veteran running back.
Dylan Sampson (55%) is projected for nine PPR points in week 2 against the Ravens.
He was a good PPR asset in week 1, but the addition of Quinshon Judkins could wipe out some of his fantasy value. Keep an eye on the status of the Cleveland backs as the week 2 games get started.
Cleveland's Jerome Ford (79%) is set for eight PPR points in week 2. He struggled big time in week 1, but if Judkins is inactive again, then Ford could be involved enough to provide some fantasy value.
Again, the options are slim at running back.
