Super Bowl DraftKings Six-Player DFS Lineup: Xavier Worthy, Saquon Barkley, Patrick Mahomes and More
Morgan puts together a six-player DraftKings lineup for the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl week is here, which means the fantasy football coverage here at FantasySP is going to ramp back up!
At the start of the week, I wanted to put together a DFS lineup on DraftKings. My opinion on things might change throughout the week, but this is how I view things now.
This six-player DraftKings lineup is a free contest. There’s a “Captain” spot, which costs 1.5 times more than he normally would, but also scores 1.5 times as many fantasy points. The other five players are all flex guys, and cost and score their normal amounts.
Let’s dive right in!

Captain - Xavier Worthy" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#player-pop-up" href="/nfl_player_news/Xavier_Worthy/">Xavier Worthy ($12,000)
I decided to utilize Worthy as my Captain. He’s coming off a 22.1-point fantasy showing in the AFC Championship Game, and might be the most reliable Chiefs’ offensive fantasy player outside of the quarterback.
Kansas City loves to get him the ball in as many ways possible, and after having two weeks to scheme some things up, I think Worthy goes off in the Super Bowl. He has the highest fantasy ceiling this weekend among the lower-priced options, so I decided to take a chance on Worthy.
Flex - Saquon Barkley ($12,000)
I really wanted to take Barkley for the Captain spot, but that really handcuffs how you can set up your fantasy team otherwise.
Barkley is going to be the focal point of the Eagles’ offense, and is coming off a 34.2-point showing in the NFC Championship Game. He scored 42.2 points the week before that.
Even if the Chiefs’ defense slows the Eagles’ offense, I still think Barkley leads the team as a fantasy asset. Not many teams hold him down, and his “down” performances are still very strong.
Flex - Patrick Mahomes ($10,000)
A note here before we get into Mahomes, but I had $800 leftover, and that’s enough to swap in Jalen Hurts if you prefer him.
Hurts maybe has a higher ceiling because of his rushing ability, but I feel much more confident in Mahomes as a fantasy asset. Mahomes scored 31.1 points in the AFC title game, so he comes into the Super Bowl hot.
Against a top-end Philly defense, nothing is going to come easy, but I think the Kansas City offense has an easier time throwing than it would running. That should help Mahomes put up good fantasy numbers.
Flex - Dallas Goedert ($5,800)
There’s not many good fantasy defensive matchups in the Super Bowl, but Goedert against the Chiefs’ defense is one.
Goedert has been good this postseason, with 16.8 points in the NFC title game, 9.6 points in the Divisional Round and 14.7 points in the Wild Card Round. He’s had at least four catches and 45 yards in each game.
In a more favorable matchup, I think Goedert has a solid floor and fairly high ceiling. I also think his chances of scoring a touchdown are just as good as any other Philly pass catcher.
Flex - DeVonta Smith ($7,400)
Speaking of other Philadelphia pass catchers, here’s one in Smith. He was my final pick, and I decided to take a little more upside and grab the most expensive player available.
He’s been held under 10 fantasy points in every game this postseason, but he’s also been at least somewhat consistently involved, which is more than you can say about others on his team. Smith scored at least 6.1 points in each playoff game, so he’s at least putting up a few points.
He’s the team’s No. 2 wideout behind A.J. Brown, and I think with so much defensive attention on Barkley and Brown, Smith has a chance to shine. I think he will produce a good fantasy score in the season’s final game.
Flex - JuJu Smith-Schuster ($2,000)
A note before we get into Smith-Schuster, but there’s several other cheap options you could replace him with - Noah Gray, Jahan Dotson, Samaje Perine and several others).
I like Smith-Schuster because of what he did in the AFC Championship Game. After not catching his only target in the Divisional Round, Smith-Schuster had 60 receiving yards on two catches and three targets in the team’s last game.
It’s not much production, but even if he can deliver half of those numbers, I’d be pretty happy with the fantasy score. This is more about wanting some higher-priced players in my lineup otherwise, so I had to include a lottery ticket player somewhere.
