Unattached Veteran Faces Steep Path to Fantasy Relevance
JuJu Smith-Schuster enters the 2026 season looking for an NFL home after being released by the Giants in mid-August. Battling knee swelling during training camp, the veteran wideout was unable to secure a depth role and was ultimately let go.
Draft sentiment has completely bottomed out following his release. In 1.0 PPR formats, his ADP has plummeted from the mid-400s in July to beyond pick 840 late in the preseason. Fantasy managers have completely stepped away, leaving him virtually unrostered.
Our projections allocate him just 3.0 fantasy points with 5 receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown if signed. Coming off a modest 353-yard, one-score campaign in 2025, Smith-Schuster is off fantasy draft boards and belongs on the waiver wire until he signs.
