Week 17 NFL Injury Report: Updates On Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, Lamar Jackson & More!
It’s Championship Week and we need to catch you up on all the latest injury news heading into the final week of the fantasy season. This article will be updated throughout the week to let you know if your fantasy stars are in or out this week.
Quarterbacks
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (Concussion) OUT
After landing in the concussion protocol this week Tua has been ruled out for at least Week 17. Teddy Bridgewater will get the start.
Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (Shoulder) OUT
Hurts practiced for the first time this week since sustaining his shoulder injury. However, he’s far from a lock to play.
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (Knee) OUT
Jackson will miss another week due to a knee injury. Tyler Huntley will once again start.
Colt McCoy, Arizona Cardinals (Concussion) OUT
McCoy has cleared the concussion protocol and will start this week.
UPDATE: After practicing and being cleared symptoms returned and McCoy will not play.
Mike White, New York Jets (Ribs) IN
White has been cleared to return this week after missing two weeks with a rib injury. It’s unclear who the backup will be.

Running Backs
James Conner, Arizona Cardinals (Illness) IN
We expect Conner to play, however, it is worth mentioning his illness. He was a DNP on Thursday. It’s something to monitor.
Damien Harris, New England Patriots (Thigh) IN
Harris still isn’t practicing and is looking like he’ll be out again this week.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints (Quad) IN
Many believe there is more to this than an injury. There is a real chance he misses this game. We just aren’t sure if it’s really due to an injury.
Antonio Gibson, Washington Commanders (Foot) OUT
Gibson has not practiced this week and is in danger of sitting his one out.
Jamaal Williams, Detroit Lions (Leg)
We haven’t heard a ton about Williams, but we are monitoring him after he left early last week and saw his role diminished when he was in.

Wide Receivers
Tyler Lockett, Seattle Seahawks (Finger) GTD
Lockett returned to practice this week in a limited fashion and has a shot of returning to action.
Marquise Goodwin, Seattle Seahawks (Wrist) GTD
Goodwin played through the injury last week and got re-injured. He looks to be on the wrong side of questionable.
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers (Ankle) GTD
Samuel returned to a limited practice this week and there is a chance that he’s able to suit up.
DeVante Parker, New England Patriots (Concussion) OUT
Parker still isn’t practicing and looks like he’ll be missing another game.
Tyquan Thornton, New England Patriots (Knee) GTD
The rookie is dealing with a knee injury and his status for Sunday is unclear.
Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints (Hamstring) GTD
Olave has returned to practice this week and looks like he’s trending toward playing.
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (Hip) GTD
Watson left early on Christmas with a hip injury and has not been able to return to practice. He is questionable at best for this week.
Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills (Illness) IN
Diggs is dealing with an illness. The good news and the bad news is he doesn’t play until Monday. He has more time to recover, but you may have less options if he doesn’t.
Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos (Ankle) GTD
Jeudy had a scary moment last week and was forced to leave the game with what looked like a potentially serious ankle injury. However, he did return and it doesn’t appear that it worsened during the week.
Mecole Hardman, Kansas City Chiefs (Abdomen) OUT
Hardman will return from IR this week.
UPDATE: Hardman suffered a setback and will not return this week.

Tight Ends
Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos (Hamstring) GTD
Dulcich will likely be a game-time decision this week due to his hamstring injury.
Hayden Hurst, Cincinnati Bengals (Calf) IN
After missing the past three games Hurst is expected to return for Week 17.
Jonnu Smith, New England Patriots (Concussion) GTD
Smith is not expected to clear the concussion protocol in time for Week 17.
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots (Knee) GTD
In a bit of a surprise, Henry has been practicing this week albeit limited, and is trending in the right direction.
Kylen Ganson, Indianapolis Colts (Ankle) GTD
Granson is not practicing this week and is not expected to play. This would give Jelani Woods a bump.
Irv Smith, Minnesota Vikings (Ankle) IR
The Vikings have designated Smith to return from IR. It’s unlikely he’s activated this week, but it’s something to monitor.
Will Dissly, Seattle Seahawks (Knee) IR
The Seahawks have placed Dissly on IR with a knee injury.
