Rotational Role and Fading Fantasy Relevance Keep Expectations Low
Antonio Gibson enters the twilight of his prime as a rotational option, trying to carve out fantasy value after a quiet 2025 campaign where he appeared in just five games, logging 25 carries. Once a highly productive dual-threat weapon in Washington, where he posted over 1,000 yards from scrimmage in consecutive seasons, his workload has steadily declined.
Fantasy managers are taking notice of his diminished role, as reflected in our data. While his ownership percentage has climbed slightly from 1% to 4% over the past month, he remains on the fringes of roster consideration, starting in just 2% of leagues. Without a clear path to high-volume touches, he is currently a deep bench stash.
Our models project Gibson as a depth asset who will need an injury ahead of him to regain standard-league viability. His history as a capable receiver makes him worth monitoring in PPR formats, but unless his path to touches clears, he is best left on the waiver wire in most shallow leagues.
