Veteran Speedster Fades into Fantasy Irrelevance After Quiet Years
Brandin Cooks enters his 13th NFL campaign as a shell of the explosive playmaker who once strung together six 1,000-yard seasons. His recent trajectory shows a steep decline, plummeting from a respectable eight-touchdown campaign in 2023 to just 279 yards and zero touchdowns in 13 games during 2025.
Fantasy managers have completely cooled on the veteran. Our tracking shows a stagnant 4% ownership rate and literally 0% start rate over the last month, proving he is entirely off the draft radar in standard leagues. Without a locked-in starting role, he remains a free agent in most fantasy formats.
While his historic depth of experience makes him an occasional waiver-wire addition if injuries strike a depth chart, we project him as a low-upside reserve. Unless he finds a highly favorable offensive environment, he should be left on the waiver wire in all but the deepest dynasty leagues.
